I was looking for a café in the area and came across this spot right in the heart of Old Town. They're known for their Mexican coffee, with lots of variations of their Mexican mocha, though I ended up getting a regular latte and it was great. I also appreciated that they offer "for here" cups. It's a nice place to study or work, especially during the weekdays. I'm not sure how busy it gets on weekends, but overall, it's definitely a spot I'd highly recommend.

I decided to stop in as I was in the area, and this cute kept popping up on my Instagram. I thought it would be the perfect way to end my weekend in San Diego. For a small space, the decor was cute and inviting, with a good amount of seating. We were greeted by the young lady behind the register and she took our orders. I order the morenita (brown sugar) latte and my friend ordered the cafe de la olla. I had high hopes for the coffees, but they were underwhelming at best. La Morenita was a 2/5. No sweetness, barely any coffee, just warm steamed milk and a pretty design. My friend says the cafe de la olla was ok, a 3/5 and that's being generous. The flavor was there but sorely lacking. While the coffee left lots to be desired, the pan delote was an easy 5/5. Tender, moist, sweet and earthy, and baked in a corn husk so the presentation was lovely. It tasted like someone's Abuelita made it! Not sure if I'd cost again if I were in the area...but I'd I do, it' would be for the cornbread and to try the other yummy looking pastries.

After a long walk in old town san diego, ice coffee sounds great. This is why I'm here. Sit down rest the feet, enjoy a coffee, use the restroom til I know what to do next. . Got myself a salt and honey ice latte with oat milk. It was a great simple drink. Has a hint of salt and sweetness from the honey. The drink was under 7 for 6.50. The coffee is from Mexico and it was a great roast and you can taste the espresso. . Inside is cute and small and simple. The outside is cute and small and makes this placw unique in old town san diego. . Overall if you are lookikg for a good coffee roasters mexican beans this is the spot I recommend for old town san diego area. Nice quick service, order, pay, then on your way. Hope this helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

stopped by to use the restroom, but decided to pick up a sweet treat & bev as well~~ and i'm glad we did! this coffee shop has a cute, clean, and minimal interior. it's spacious with a handful of seats. the service was also lovely! i'm not a coffee drinker, but the cafe de olla latte was pretty good. honestly, nothing mind-blowing to me. my bf enjoyed it a lot more though! we even tried to visit again on our last day in san diego, but didn't realize the shop closes earlier in the afternoon :(

I was visiting San Diego with the family to get out of the heat. My baby was fussy and everyone else was asleep. I took him for a walk and stumbled upon this spot. The reviews seemed positive and as an out of sleep mom-I always am down for a good coffee. I was a little worried that it was just a tourist trap kind of place., but I took a chance. They have signs saying that they source the coffee from Mexico. It was one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. No bitterness, just smooth with all the right chocolatey notes. Not pictured, but I also got a spinach and ricotta turnover. The pastry was flaky and fluffy at the same time. It really hit the spot. I sent my husband here the next morning to pick up another latte for me. We will be back!

I stopped by Flor and Seed today and tried their seasonal latte, the orange canela coffee. The orange and coffee notes were well balanced, not overpowering, but warm and comforting. It's a small, cozy shop with a few tables and seating available, or you can easily grab your drink to go while walking around Old Town. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better.

Super cute shop that only brews Mexican coffee -- and it's amazing. Tried the Mexicano (Mexican twist on an americano) and the De Olla latte, which was perfect. Owner and barista were super friendly. Definitely coming back!

The coffee selection was great. The person taking our order was alright, but I was surprised to find out that the person making the coffee -- who wasn't very friendly -- was actually the owner. Not personable or welcoming at all, which was very disappointing when we have the pick of hundreds of other coffee shops in San Diego. I ordered the café de olla iced and initially asked for it less sweet, since it's traditionally very sweet. After the first sip, I ended up asking for a bit more piloncillo syrup. The inside of the café was a bit warm with no A/C, so we didn't stay long, but the mural inside was lovely and added a nice touch to the space. Don't see myself coming back here when there's hundreds of other coffee shops that will provide decent customer service and make me feel welcomed.

Flor and Seed Coffee Roasters -- San Diego, CA Breaking news: The Açaí Guy has entered hot beverage territory. (Technically iced... but still.) Tried the Aztec Mocha -- iced. First time ever. No expectations. No prior bias. Just vibes and curiosity. Immediate reaction? Why has no one told me about this before? Rich, chocolatey depth with that subtle kick that makes you feel slightly more productive than you actually are. Smooth. Balanced. Not overly sweet. A drink with personality. The space itself? Elite casual energy. Cute without being try-hard. Clean. Comfortable. The kind of place where you could sit all morning pretending to read a book... or actually read one. Also prime territory for a low-pressure catch-up with friends. And shoutout to the women working--friendly, smiling, helpful. The type of service that makes you feel like a regular on visit one. That matters. Will I be back? Absolutely. This wasn't a one-time experiment. This was a discovery. Rating 4.8 / 5 Açaí Berries (Strong debut. Repeat visit required for full audit.) Breakdown * Taste: 5/5 * Vibes: 5/5 * Service: 5/5 * All-Morning Sit Potential: 5/5 Current Status: Café Approved Pairing Suggestion: Aztec Mocha + strategic life planning Long-Term Plan: Locate nearest Açaí bowl within walking distance. -- The Açaí Guy

Iced Morenita latte & matcha concha $12 total for both

I was staying in Old Town for a weekend trip. I decided to pick this place out of the handful that they have in this area. I am glad that I did because the latte we got was delicious. It was the Morenita (brown sugar) latte with oat milk. We were talking to the staff and asking for recommednations on which beans she prefered. She let us know she likes the Lucha Blend and it's the one that they use for their espresso and lattes. That was enough to sell me. We picked up 2 bags of the Lucha beans because the latte was that good. We also ordered a matcha concha. It was just okay. I have had better concha.

The price is $20 + $0.51 booking fee per adult (ages 16+) for a one-hour session. [Experience]: Our party checked in at the front counter and hung out in the waiting area. The waiting area sells various pug merchandise and also has a touchscreen pinball machine. There is a unisex restroom available. Once our party stepped into a separate pink & clean room, the staff went over instructions on how to handle the pugs. Visitors are allowed to pick up the pugs but cannot carry them while standing. The staff was friendly and was playing fun & energetic background music during the pug session. Our party didn't stay for the entire hour and left around the 45-minute mark because we had a dinner plan afterward. [Conclusion]: Our party had fun playing with the pugs and took plenty of photos.
