We had a great experience at Palmys! The restaurant was clean and well decorated inside and out. The food was REALLY good with perfect portions - we split the breakfast burrito (vg & the GF tortilla was great - not crumbly!) and the blue horizon acai bowl. The acai bowl was naturally sweet, not overpowering. They offer merch & local goods up front, and the cafe has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They also offer coffee/ tea, which I will try next time! :-)
Great vibe, plenty of outdoor seating, aesthetic, & the BEST breakfast burrito i've ever had -- enough said! Bacon, guacamole, tater tots (genius), egg, and a rly yummy salsa on the side! Also had the dirty shirley and the macadamia nut brown sugar latte & they were fabuloussssss Will be back next time I'm in San Diego
Been wanting to trying Palmys forever! Came on Saturday at 11:30 on memorial weekend so def maybe busier than usual! It is an order at the front & find your own seat. We got lucky with a table of 6 opening up but otherwise looked like every table was taken. Took about 30 mins to move through the line to order & 30 mins to get food but otherwise not too bad, there were signs with time warnings. I got the chicken & waffles, was so pleased they were gluten free! Friend ordered the same but they forgot to take off the peppers for her allergy. Such a cute nature forward space, would be a great spot to work from home however, they have no outlets. Would go again to try their cafe drinks!
4 stars just because the line took a pretty long time. The cinnamon roll was heavenly, the breakfast burritos were great, but there was nothing special about the coffee. We went during a heat wave, and the place doesn't have air conditioning but a lot of outdoor seating and fans inside. Overall a cute place in PB, but if youre looking for a brunch spot that's quick and easy I'd skip out, just because it took a while.
Love this place! Cozy chairs, lovely plants, calm decor. Have had so far: Honey cinnamon latte - wonderful, perfect amount of sweet El Salvadorian smoothie - perfectly reshreshing fruity smoothie Breakfast burrito - overall fresh and wonderful with the crispy tots, but I'd say it could use some spices or bit more flavor. All the staff I interacted with were all lovely and helpful. Great place to laptop from but keep in mind - no electrical outlets! My fave is sitting on a cozy chair next to the tree with all the crazy branches :) Overall a great spot with quality food.
The staff was very polite, my table order the poke bowl, a salad, and I got the catch of the day which was rock fish - tuna was grey and the catch of the day was rockfish, frozen, rubbery and bland and the beans were canned. They were happy to refund both - the salad and banana bread were yummy, ambiance was cool too
Palmsy in Pacific Beach is such a great coffee spot, especially if you love a good outdoor setup. Their patio is one of my favorite parts, lots of trees and greenery, it almost feels like you're hanging out in someone's backyard. They also have indoor seating which is also cute - very California, but the outdoor space really stands out. It's super close to the beach, which makes it a perfect stop whether you're walking around the area or meeting up with friends. The coffee is great, and they have a wide variety of options for both drinks and food, so there's something for everyone. It's also a solid place to sit and get some work done since there's plenty of space. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Even though it's a crowded place, the food still comes pretty fast. Parking can be a bit tricky, but that's pretty typical for the area. Overall, I always have a great time here, whether I'm stopping by solo or with friends. Definitely one of my go-to spots in PB.
One of my favorite cafes in San Diego! The ambiance is incredible. You eat among the palm trees. It's a small oasis and feels so far away from the city! The food's incredible. I can't put into words how good their burritos are. I also love their lattes. Wait times can be slightly long, but well worth it. The service is great with the baristas making my drink right away. All in all, an amazing restaurant and one I highly recommended!

This is easily one of my FAVORITE coffee shops in pacific beach to do work. The food here is sooo good and there are so many options from vegan to vegetarian. The food is on the healthier side but it's SO tasty. The coffee is okay, it's not the best. But the ambiance, the work space and the cleanliness make up for it. If you want to get work done in a quiet spot with a nice view and fresh air, this is the spot to come.
Beautiful outdoor corner spot! Perfect Tuesday afternoon to be outside. There were many patrons working on the patio. Two outdoor sections, open or private with a hedge. We weren't very hungry so we shared the Thai Quinoa Salad. I was tasty, but I wish they cut up the lettuce. I don't like to work before I eat my meal. My friend also got an iced coffee latte. She enjoyed it! This would be an excellent location to people watch on a bustling weekend. The table next to us was super friendly. We chatted it up about our dogs. Bonus points for being a dog friendly business!
A lovely spot in Pacific Beach for relaxing, hanging out, and/or working! The vibes here are literally immaculate! It feels like hanging out in a friend's super cute beachside home, with some cozy seating where the living room would be, and an ordering counter for the kitchen. There was also plenty of seating throughout the outdoor patio, which wraps around its corner lot and gives everyone plenty of room to spread out and find cozy, semi-private spaces for themselves. There's some lovely light bites, pastries, and other treats you could order, although we just got some coffee drinks when visiting. For myself - the Matcha Latte with a bit of honey, which was prepared absolutely perfectly! So foamy, soft, and soothing to sip in a nice big green mug! This is legitimately one of the best Matcha Lattes I've ever ordered from a cafe! The barista lady was also very friendly and took so much care and attention into preparing each drink. The coffee drinks were a bit pricey, and I ended up paying $11 after leaving a tip...but honestly the quality of the drink and the vibes of the environment made up for that price tag. I loved Palmy's and would definitely come back - I highly recommend stopping by when you're in the Pacific Beach area!
If SD materialized into a cafe, it would definitely be Palmys! It's the most adorable beachside spot where you can buckle down and be productive while still enjoying the sunshine and ocean breeze. Located in PB, they're situated in a pretty walkable part of town. There's plenty of available street parking and you can pop in and out of neighboring establishments. Walking in, this cafe looks like a converted spacious beach house. There's so much charm and character. Littered outside and along their wrap around porch is plenty of different seating options. They also have a slew of tables nestled inside. It was a hotter day, so I asked for smoothie recos. The cashier recommended the El Salvadoran Lifesaver which apparently has been the smoothie of the summer! It features mango, pineapple, passionfruit, orange juice, strawberry, and coconut water. It was like a tropical summer in a cup. Super fun, light, and yummy!
My daughter took me here today, enjoyed the atmosphere, location, cool breeze, setting, just wish they had a few ceiling fans or table fans to keep the flies away. Order at the counter, find a table and your delicious plate is delivered. Good coffee choices, and breakfast dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed our chilaquiles, wish the chicken was cooked all the way through; definitely worth ordering. Matcha was strong the way I like it and not sweetened. Also ordered the blue bowl with granola, fresh cut strawberries, bananas, honey blueberries; unique, fresh and delightful. Would love to come back.

I was looking for a beach cafe, and Palmys fit the vibe I was going for. Not to mention, they offer a variety of breakfast meals and lunch items. I went for a late productivity session at around 2PM, and there were plenty of seats on the patio, I even some patio couches and limited seating inside. Though it doesn't exactly face the beach, the layout is very nice and gives off a beachy vibe anyway! I enjoyed their Lavender Latte, hot. It had a nice balance of coffee and milk, with the lavender not too strong. The sweetness was balanced well. I also munched on a cheeseburger, which I could only eat a little of it since it was quite heavy. I did eat a lot of the tater tots that came on the side, as they were deliciously seasoned and needed to be eaten while it was crispy. The service was great; I was checked up on my order and staff were constantly going around to buss the tables. I felt productive here and look forward to coming another time when I can! read more

The vibes here were also really cute and everyone was very friendly. Everything was delicious, but not mind blowing. I've had better bagels, but the lox was great quality tho, however we did clear our plates. I can see why it's a staple and would try other things on their menu if I came back. read more

Visited San Diego to see a friend for the weekend and she insisted that we go to Palma's and OMG it did not disappoint! Sunday morning: Line out the door, kind staff, beautiful decor, high vibes, great fresh food that makes you feel great. None of the colors in my photo were enhanced, this is just what it looks like! Only thing is that there is a bit of a wait after ordering, especially for smoothies. I would preorder or deliver if you're in a rush! Will definitely come back next time I'm in Pacific Beach. Great spot for first/second dates, I think I saw 3 while I was sitting there LOL read more
My friend and I had a lovely breakfast here. We came at 8am to get breakfast and service was super fast. The baristas were very friendly. A nice thing about this place is that they serve breakfast and lunch all day long! I really loved sitting outdoors surrounded by all the plants. read more
Searching for a breakfast spot in Pacific Beach area, we came upon a cute beach-cottage like dining place with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating seemed to be very popular as none left when we were there around 9:30ish. Luckily, we got a table for three indoor with AC, which was perfect for us. The line seemed to get longer after 10. There's no table service, so folks had to stay in line to place order and pay at the cashier. The food will be delivered to the table. We had lox and bagel, breakfast burrito, and ube waffle and fried chicken. It took awhile before we had our food, but they were nicely plated and my ube waffle and fried chicken was delicious! read more

We love Palmys! As a family with a small toddler this place was perfect for us to grab a bite before heading to Sea World from our Airbnb in the area. Service was super sweet with our toddler and really accommodating. Our Cortados were 10/10 and the Açaí Bowl we split was super fresh and filling! The vibe is SO cute, they have many high chairs if needed and super walkable from many places in PB. We'll be back! read more

Their location in PB is lovely, and sitting outside makes for a really relaxed morning. The decor is bright and breezy. I had the breakfast burrito (which comes with vegan chorizo) and an acai bowl. The burrito was solid, though I struggled to taste the chorizo. A non-vegan option could be nice. The acai bowl was good but fairly standard. Service was straightforward. Overall, Palmys is a nice spot to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere of PB. read more

Visiting a friend and she wanted to go here as it's one of her fav brunch places. It has the cutest style and reminded me of being in Hawaii. You order at the cash register, I got the prosciutto croissant sandwich which came with tater tots on the side. It ended up being $20 which was a little expensive, but the portion was relatively big for me. We had difficulty finding seats as it was packed and a lot of people were wandering around trying to find somewhere to sit. We ended up asking to sit with a random couple as we had nowhere to go. Obviously they're more popular than they have space for and this was 11:30am on a Friday so I was shocked! It was a bummer they didn't have enough seating and I imagine it may be difficult on the weekends. However the food is great. My sandwich had a ridiculous amount of egg in it but not much prosciutto at all. I do wish the proportions were more even as it was so Heavy on the eggs and maybe one slice of prosciutto and a dash of arugula. Especially since it's advertised as a prosciutto croissant, I felt like it needed more of the meat and veggies than it did egg. However, it was really yummy and the tater tots were really well seasoned. I tried my friend's smoothie and thought it was exceptional and so flavorful. The ambience of the place is absolutely adorable. I just truly wish they had more seating as it seems to be very busy and it's a bummer since you have to wait to get a table until after you order but it was a good experience and very cute! read more

While looking for brunch places in PB, this one kept popping up so I had to check it out. The food was good, but not worth the wait. We waited in line for 40 minutes to order and then another 40 min to get our food. They seem very understaffed given the volume of customers, so a lot of tables aren't cleared or wiped so you're awkwardly left at a table waiting. The blue moon smoothie was really good, but I wouldn't come back and wait for anything here. read more
Everything was just ok, but for the price point, it's a pass for me. $30 for a mediocre sandwich and a less-than-average coffee. The salted maple latte was really just ok, nothing special. Overly milky and the flavor of the espresso was lost in the milk and sweetener. The palmy sando was really dry. Nothing special about it. I would have appreciated a housemade aioli maybe to improve the flavor. The tots were too crunchy and hard for me (does that make sense??). Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't come back. Such a cute beach themed cafe in PB! Shared my meal with a girlfriend and it made for the perfect pre-flight meal before heading back to Phx. The tots were crispy, the bread was super fresh, and the roasted peppers added the perfect flavor. I ordered a sugar free vanilla latte, and the flavoring was good but the milk was a little bit scorched. Such a cool spot though, i will be back next time I'm visiting PB! read more
My husband I road our bicycles to coffee shop around the corner to grab some fresh pastries. Unfortunately, they were all out, so we stumbled upon this adorable cafe instead! it's an adorable Bohemian style from the outside, with its woven light fixtures and mix of greenery. the inside is an adorable aesthetic, too, with a more small beach/surf vibe. They have a fair variety of breakfast favorites, in addition some acai bowls and a long list of smoothies. My boyfriend ordered the bagel and lox, and I ordered the Blue Horizon acai Bowl, that actually does not have I say and just has a blue sorbet base. He also ordered the charcoal, peanut butter smoothie. We both ordered some tater tots on the side as well. I came to this place with no expectations, and was very very impressed by the food. My boyfriend smoothie was very delicious, not too heavy on the peanut butter, and accompanied by a few fresh banana dry chips. My acai bowl was perfect for anyone who doesnt actually like acai itself, it was accompanied with a with a variety of tasty berries. It was super refreshing, filling, and light for a hot summer day. And I cannot not comment about the tots, because they amazing! If you like double fried French fries, you will LOVE the Tatter Tots! I've never had tots so crispy and I was kind of surprised because there menu seems to be very "healthy" (and there definitely is a ton of healthy options) so I didn't expect such crispy tots, great suprise! I saw a lot of people working on their laptops while chilling here, so great place to get some studying or work done as well. I will definitely be back! read more

first time trying an açaí bowl AND THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! my friend and i stumbled across this shop on instagram, took the bus afterschool, and went crazy lol!! the snickerdoodle latte wasn't as sweet as i expected :( wasn't bad though, i just personally needed to add more sweetener.. our bowls were delish though!! no notes there. the fruits were all decent quality, and the ice cream / sorbet was very yum!! i just wish it came in a cuter looker bowl, rather than this tall plastic container lol. great service and super cute interior!! it wasn't too busy either, so we were able to take a ton of pics!! read more
Quick service and friendly staff. Vibe was easy going. Plenty of seating. Very cute outside. The Mexican mocha latte was good. Salted maple latte and cookie butter latte were yummy. Not very sweet. Not too far from the beach. We did not get food but the pastries looked delicious. read more

Palmy's in Pacific Beach, San Diego, is such a nice coffee spot to visit after a beach day or even before you head out to the beach. The outdoor seating was really relaxing, and they have so many coffee variations to choose from. Plus, the staff was super friendly. It's a great place for a bite or a coffee in a chill, beachy vibe. read more
Stopped by this morning around 9:30 by 10 am the place was so packed I'm happy I got there early otherwise the line gets pretty long. I had the little Gordo sandwich and a drip coffee, the sandwich was a little greasy but tasty the coffee was really good. Lots of outdoor seating the indoor seating is very limited, lots of street parking. read more

It can get pretty busy so if you don't mind that then it's fine to work/study. They don't have table service so you would have to go up to the counter to order. It's not convenient when you have a laptop to watch and seating to save.
