Finally tried Kettle and Stone after hearing nothing but great things! Pet recommendations, I got the Turkish Latte which is DELICICIOUS, and the orange choco chip scone- equally as delicious. Baristas at the counter are very sweet and the ambiance and overall aesthetic of the coffee shop is beautiful.

This is a really cozy coffee shop located in Mission Hills, San Diego. I ordered the Indian Spicy Coffee and absolutely loved it! The shop is spotless, and the natural, earthy design creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Best of all, the service was excellent--friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back to try more coffee flavors!

Service was quick, it has a very calming ambiance with sounds of water and my latte was great

I really hate to write a bad review but this was such a disappointment. I wanted to love this spot! I spent $29 for two lattes and two berry jam & butter toasts. First of all, their espresso is lacking in flavor. Our plain iced lattes tasted like diluted chocolate milk. But the real crime was their toast. $7.50 for a stale baguette with two foil-wrapped butter pats and bland jelly. Taste and texture are worse than the free baguette from Panera Bread. It was laughable to say the least!

I ordered the iced dark chocolate mocha and they gave me a Mexican mocha. I got it replaced with the correct drink but it didn't taste like dark chocolate. I thought it was just regular mocha but they don't offer regular mocha so it must have been the dark chocolate. Disappointed with this drink. Then the toasts didn't have any price but we still ordered it to try it out. 2 drinks and 2 toasts cake out to be around $34. Each toast was around $11.25. Mine was ricotta and a drizzle of berry sauce. My bf had avocado toast. Both toasts are decent but it was overpriced. Nothing really special about it which would want me to go back and reorder it. I could have gotten a hearty burrito for less than $11.25. It's actually a quaint place with ample amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. It was very busy on a weekend morning before 9am. Coffee prices are average and everyone else seems to like their coffee - just don't get the overpriced toast.

This place was just ok. Nothing spectacular or great. The customer service was on point but feel the avocado toast is just plain and spendy compared to most. Same with the ricotta berry They did make a couple mistakes on our order and they fixed the coffee right away with no problem and although I ordered one of the avocado toasts I got the other one but it was almost the same so I didn't say anything although I know they would have fixed it if I did so the customer service was great.

Such a a great hidden gem. I was on a walk and fell into their beautiful ambiance trap. The space is truly breathtaking, decorated with Persian and Turkish rugs, crystals and zen statues. The staff was extremely friendly and even boasted about how much they loved working there with the owner. The interior has some seating but, I love that they have ample outdoor seating for you to enjoy your food and beverage. I ordered the a toasted baguette with butter and jam and the Turkish latte. They offer traditional plating or to go plate for all food and had about 5-6 types of jam to choose from. I ultimately went with the nectarine jam and HOLY CRAP, that jam will knock your socks off. Definitely a must try! It was so good The Turkish latte was also really well made and topped with pistachios! Would highly recommend popping in and supporting this woman owned small business

    Inside setting

Ambiance is so lovely- it feels like a little fairy garden inside. Their deck is also so peaceful to sit out on. They offer a cute bakery selection and their coffee is very good. Definitely a neighborhood staple

Barista was on her phone the entire time she was making drinks. Our lattes were watery and the milk was horribly steamed. If you go, just get an iced coffee.

Sandwich board, on the corner about 4 doors down from the cafe.

Not good coffee, very very overpriced. Crowded and just not at all comfortable. Parking is a challenge as well. Totally overrated.

Everything was tasty and well prepared, particularly the avocado toast and acai bowls! Near to home, short walk, grandson loves it there!

I completely understand that popular coffee shops can get busy, especially a holiday week. Long lines and a hectic morning? Fair. What isn't fair is waiting 40+ minutes for two coffees and still having absolutely no idea where your order is. We ordered two drinks and, after a significant amount of time had passed, I checked with both the barista and the cashier. Both times, we were essentially told, "sorry it's a really a busy morning & we have a long queue." Except we eventually realized that our drinks had actually been given to the wrong customer. Mistakes happen. What was truly unbelievable was how the situation was handled afterward. Rather than taking accountability of the mistake and immediately remaking our drinks, we were simply to continue waiting. So, to be clear: the shop made the mistake, gave our drinks to someone else, and then expected us to absorb the cost of that mistake by standing around and waiting even longer. After spending more than 40 minutes waiting for two coffees we never received, we finally asked for a refund. The lack of accountability and basic customer service was appalling. I genuinely wanted to give this place a try, but after this experience, I can confidently say it was my first and last visit. A suggestion to management: fix your ordering and drink-preparation system and, more importantly, train your staff to actually take ownership when something goes wrong. A busy morning is not an excuse for poor communication or lack of attempt to fix an order that was given to the wrong customer. Also why ask customers for a phone number if you're not going to send a notification when their drinks are ready? There are plenty of great coffee shops in SD. I'll be going to one of those instead the next time I'm back in SD. Truly a disappointment.
