For a small deli, this place has everything you need on the go. Beer, soda, chips, snacks, drinks,…read moreice cream, cigarettes, lotto, etc. The people are nice and the place is usually really clean. I like that they don't mind if you need to bring your dog inside with you. Some places will yell at you to take the dog out but on a hot summer day, you don't want your dog tied up outside.

When it was finally my turn, the employee became distracted by a colleague and proceeded to ignore me entirely while they focused on a phone. This lack of attention was unprofessional and disrespectful. When she eventually completed my transaction, she handled my items carelessly--scanning my purchase and then tossing it onto the counter without any regard. This level of service is unacceptable. Customers should not be ignored, dismissed, or treated with such disregard. I expect basic professionalism, attentiveness, and respect when making a purchase. This incident should be reviewed and addressed immediately to ensure this type of behavior does not continue.

It wasn't just one item that looked fresh, everything seems like it was just made. You can find just basically anything you might need from a convenience store in here plus small hot food selection This only bad part is their bathroom was absolutely disgusting! It's looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the place opened up, I know people go in and out constantly but common at least put some effort and clean up a bit.

Before they opened, we had to make our beer runs at Shell gas station where their prices were a bit higher than Deli Boy. The guys at Deli Boy are really friendly and cool. They got it all! Sodas, beers, juice, milk, chips, candy, condiments, lotto, newspaper, cigarettes, medicine, ice cream, hot and cold sandwiches. It's so convenient because the Walgreens that is opened on Astoria Blvd (pretty much right next to Deli Boy) closes at midnight.

Firstly, the prices are cheap and competitive. I can buy a cold half liter bottle of soda or seltzer for $1.50 which is decent when you compare to other places. They sell cat food for 79 cents a can with the cans you can open without a can opener in case you meet any cats along the way. I met one just outside the store so I got one. On the other hand, hot drinks are problematic. Hot coffee and tea is entirely self serve. I wanted tea, but the water was WARM, not hot. It doesn't even come out of a direct dispenser like virtually every other deli or bagel store you go to in New York, but it's just a tall glass decanter sitting next to a coffee decanter in one of those coffee heaters, and the water was warm. The people in charge need to be more vigilant. There appears to be hot food here too, but I've never tried it.
