I has asked for a quote for the entire property, including all 4 private fenced-in areas. They replied with a quote of around $400, so I accepted and paid the fee. Then, they upsold me on the added weed-killer treatment, so I paid more for that. Then I was advised they had to come out a few days before the yard work to do the treatment, so I agreed. They came out and sprayed for weeds, but missed several spots and completely missed the private areas, however, I did not even realize they only did the common area until later. Additionally, they sprayed my neighbor's very beautiful ground cover in the parking strips in their driveway and killed the entire large patch of plants! Later that week, they came to finish the yardwork, and much to my dismay, when I returned home, they had missed the private areas. Also, I could not tell any difference in the common area from before they had allegedly done the work. Also, to my confusion, they had not touched the private areas! The yard people we paid much less money we had before did the entire property, and I mean they were out there for 5 straight hours, raking up all pine needles and hauling them away and really making the place sparkle. I looked at my RING Camera and watched them. These guys were out there for less than one hour. Didn't rake up anything and missed many weeds all over the ground! I'm not even sure what they actually did, since everything looked the same. I contacted the company and they were a little dismissive about it all. I advised them that my quote request was not just for the common area, but for the entire property, and I even showed them in the original email request. The only reply was basically, "oops, sorry", and a new quote for around $1200!!! I also informed them they killed all of my neighbor's ground cover plants, they didn't seem to care much about that, either. Additionally, we discussed the lack of actual effort put forth by the work crew, and again, just "sorry". I was going to remain silent and just chalk it up to having made a VERY BAD decision by hiring this company and apologize to my neighbors, profusely. However, just the other day, I received a bill from them after months of silence. So, I am here to warn anyone reading. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

A team of three started this morning on time, and knocked it out faster than I expected. They also pressure washed my backyard patio and small deck. The critical issues we encountered were: Inaccurate Billing: We were repeatedly invoiced for services that were never performed. Correcting these errors required multiple follow-ups and often took days for a response from the owner. Lack of Reliability: There was no consistent schedule. Assurances of "we'll be there this week" frequently went unfulfilled without communication. Substandard Workmanship: Routine upkeep was often neglected, allowing weeds to overgrow in serviced areas. Additionally, crews frequently left tools and personal items behind on our property. Poor Management: While Aloe is a talented salesperson, the business lacks the necessary infrastructure to manage a recurring client base. We even recommended them to a friend who unfortunately experienced the exact same pattern of unreliability. It is disappointing to see a business with such potential struggle with basic operational accountability. We wish the team the best and hope they can implement a more reliable system, but we cannot recommend their maintenance services at this time.

She resorted to name calling and refused to comply with her own contract. Below are my grievances. Bogus charges. She charged me for research and travel time. She inflates the prices for supplies. Aloe, definitely has a pattern. No matter what you request, she buys the absolute cheapest version of it and charges you top price, too. For example, I paid for bend-a-board but she used three long strips of cheap metal edging instead and did not even complete all of the edging. Supplies. I paid for supplies I never received, such as a B-hyve Hub. I paid for five large white iceberg rose bushes at $70 per bush, but only received four. I paid for fabric weed block, she used cheap cloth. I paid for gravel and river rock she never even used. I paid for bend-a-board she never used. I paid for soil for the raised concrete bedding area, the same dirt is still there. I paid for two irrigation timers, but only got one. I paid for wood for two hand rails, and got none. I paid for wood for a brand new fence along the driveway and only got some. Materials. She used "used" materials even though I paid for new. The tubing for the drip system is used and is a combination of tubing and soaker hose. The stone work. In front of the house is already falling off, incomplete and is of very poor craftsmanship. The stepping stones. Were just placed on top of the ground, are unstable and a tripping hazard. I had to remove them. I paid for slate, but did not get slate. Instead, I got the cheapest stepping stones she could find and still charged me top dollar. The path. She did not even bother to provide enough gravel to cover the entire path, even though I paid for her to buy enough. The stepping stones are unstable and had to be removed. She left the edging along both sides of the path 95% incomplete. Weed block. She used cheap weed block even though I asked for fabric and she did not even cover all the areas like I requested and paid for. Already weeds are coming up. The fence. She knowingly installed an illegal fence and she never completed the fence along the driveway. The entire fence was to be removed, rebuilt and painted. What is existing is not built correctly. What happened to the primer and paint I paid for to paint the fence white? What happened to the wood I paid for to replace the old fence? Hand rails. I paid for supplies for her to build me two new handrails. She only painted the existing one. Gate on driveway. She never even attempted to install a gate on the driveway even though I paid for materials for that, too. Overall craftsmanship. Is of very poor quality. Another pattern. Incomplete projects. She never fully completes one part of a project. For example, the irrigation, stone work and path were left unfinished for three to four weeks and still are unfinished. Mind you, she did almost all the work herself and was present while the irrigation and stonework were being installed and then pretended to not know these things were not finished like she said. The drip system. When I told her I had to buy more materials and finish the drip system myself she could have cared less. She told me it takes an entire day to put in a drip system. This is not my first rodeo. It does not take all day, but later I found out she charged me for an entire day of work. The landscaping. Is not a two month long project, but it turned into that because she did almost all the work herself. Again, this is not my first rodeo. Had she just shown up with a crew she could have knocked it out in no more than two weeks. Instead, she overbooked herself, spread her crew thin and mismanaged the entire project. She does not clean up after herself. She left trash and debris on my driveway, the sidewalk and on the street in front of my home. I had to do the sweeping and throw away the trash myself. The contract. I complied. I made all progress payments. She did not comply. She did not finish the project. She knowingly installed an illegal fence. She never replaced the original handrail by the steps and never added a second one, even though I paid for the materials. She charged me bogus charges for research. She kept materials I paid for. She used "used" materials when I paid for new. She left a mess on my property. She resorted to false accusations and name calling. She even tried to blame my one-year old German Shepherd puppy that is being professionally trained. Still, she gave me the finger! I contacted the Landscaper Contractors Board and received the following response. See photo below. Moreover, I had an assessment done of her work by a licensed landscape company. This all appeared good until I started digging into the pile. It was full of garbage. There were 3 inch thick branches, rhododendron clippings, holly clippings, multiple bundles of long twigs and huge mats of long dead pine needles included. It required considerable effort to separate the junk from the poor quality woodchips. I hope Foster Trees treats their direct customers better than this.
