I can only extend the utmost respect and gratitude towards this establishment and the warm-hearted lady (perhaps the owner), who empathized with me when the majority of my bulk flowers were cancelled (due to Hurricane Sandy) the day they were supposed to arrive, Friday, 11/2. This was 2 days before my wedding, so in a frenzy, I called every florist shop in RI, trying to source white or ivory flowers and greenery. However, no one was able help me, so I prepared to clean out all local groceries. Then, I came across LiRog, and the woman on the phone offered to help by sourcing the flowers directly from her distributor on my behalf. She assured me that for a mere $10 delivery charge, I could have access to the same wholesale flowers only professional florists have access to. Two hours later when my mother and I showed up at her shop, we were greeted by abundant snapdragon, limonium, spray roses, stock, variegated pittosporum, and seeded eucalyptus...the very flowers we were supposed to receive that morning from a major online wholesaler. This lady was none other than an angel, who saved the day and helped make my dream wedding come to life with abundant, real flowers! This florist is wonderful!!! Any place that provides excellent customer service and delivers exactly what you want is aces in my book. I came early in the morning and needed a bouquet for my civil ceremony....talk about short notice! I showed the owner (I didn't get her name) a picture of my dress and shoes and told her generally what colors I wanted. She walked right over and talked me through an idea for a beautiful bouquet. I know nothing about flowers and she made it so easy. I was able to pick it up shortly afterwards and it was so very beautiful, went with my ensemble and was very appropriate. The price was also right. Bouquets can be expensive as we know but I was able to get my bouquet and his boutonnière for under $90. I highly recommend this florist. We all have aesthetic preferences about some things. I happen to have a rabid aesthetic preference about flowers: no where, no how, not EVER do baby's breath and/or carnations belong in a floral arrangement. If I am given a bouquet that contain such detrius, I pick said pieces out and throw them away. Immediately. Having said this, I have been into LiRog four times now over the past two years, usually because I am buying for work and within a budget. EVERY time, I have walked out empty handed because I found their selection to be extremely limited. EVERY time, I am scolded for not putting in an order prior to the day I need the flowers. EVERY time, whoever is behind the counter (Li? Rog?) suggests that I should buy some carnations and baby's breath along with my flower of choice. UGH. I supposed the giant plastic inflatables and foil balloons that populate their window displays each holiday should clue me in to the general vibe of the store. Perhaps if you order ahead, don't mind baby's breath and carnations, and are not opposed to plastic toys mixed into your floral arrangements, this is the flower shop for you. I bought all of my brother's funeral/memorial/wake flowers here and they were unbelievable. The staff is courteous and kind and helped me pick out flowers during the hardest week of my life. For $100, they made an arrangement the size of the altar for in front of it, with all types of beautiful long-stemmed flowers. I just explained a little about my brother and his style and personality and they made the most perfect arrangements to reflect him and our family at the same time. No carnations included. Look through their books and talk with them, they can make your vision a reality. They were suggested to me and I will definitely return for more flowers. read more

Oh my! I am so impressed as happy with this flower shop! I got flowers for my sons teachers and they were quick, helpful in getting it ready and even delivered it to my car because my son was asleep in the back! The flowers were fresh, beautiful and lasted for over a week and a half almost 2 weeks! Sorry to disagree with Briana, but LiRog is my hands-down go-to for any/all floral purchases I require. It doesn't matter what the occasion is, Roger is a true floral artist who genuinely listens, cares, and goes the extra mile - every time - to make his arrangements special and memorable. Yes, I always give them at least a day's notice, so maybe that's the difference, but even with only 24 hours they are nothing but overly-accommodating and extremely gracious. And they appreciate your continued patronage... they'll remember you the next time you call or go in, and always ask how your friend/relative/event liked their flowers. And here's the best part: the arrangements are GORGEOUS! Every single recipient (way too many to count after almost 15 years of loyal patronage now) has gushed over Roger's arrangements, whether tiny tablescapes, get-well flowers, or memorial/funeral displays. All stunning. I moved to Florida just recently, and I've already had to call them twice - just this month - for different occasions, and they remember all the little details. You just don't find service like that anymore these days. Furthermore, LiRog's prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, especially for the beauty they create for your loved ones. In this economy, when aesthetic floral deliveries have become a luxury, I can appreciate that they don't compromise their quality and integrity to make a few extra bucks. I've been there twice now - both times I wanted flowers immediately, and both times they accommodated me wonderfully. On Valentine's Day the price was a bit high - $80 for a dozen roses. However, for half that price, I had a beautiful arrangement put together for me earlier this week. I'm no flower expert, but I felt like I really got a ton of flowers for my money. Instead of taking advantage of my ignorance, they actually gave me a bigger-than-average arrangement. I called at 2pm and needed 10 small table decorations by 10am the next day. They were done, looking beautiful, and very reasonably priced. My only instructions were that I needed some simple color as it was int he forecast to snow in April and I needed some spring in my life. I received a wonderful little bouquet of purple and lime green flowers that worked beautifully together. This flower shop is a little chintzy, with the usual balloons and stuffed bears, but they have a solid selection of long-lasting flowers and beautiful plants for very reasonable prices. I couldn't be happier with the hanging ivy plant I bought here, and I stop by to replenish my bud vases every few weeks. I was appalled reading one of the last posts that dismissed this florist for including baby's breath and carnations in floral displays intimating that this is a tacky place to buy flowers. On the contrary, my family has used this florist for years and always been satisfied with the beautiful arrangements we purchase. I never thought that carnations and baby's breath were used as economic filler, but rather as foils for other more prominent blooms. Labeling carnations and baby's breath as "detritus" (the writer should learn how to spell it correctly) seems incredibly snooty to me. The architecture of a fresh carnation is astounding and the staccato notes of a sprig of baby's breath add lovely depth and interest to many bouquets. I have dealt with LiRog by phone and in person many times. They have always been polite and friendly. Recently I forgot to order prom flowers and called in a panic to place an order the day before the event. It was not a problem and they were very reassuring. My advice for customers who dislike carnations and baby's breath is to communicate with the florist and ask that those types of flowers not be used. We have requested specific tropical or themed arrangements in the past and have been delighted with what LiRog came up with--usually with more beautiful flowers than we expected. read more

I have been getting bouquets here for over 10 years now and they are always incredibly beautiful. Most recently, I will call LiRog from NYC (where I live) to deliver flowers to friends and family back home in Providence -I give them a price point and a color scheme or a particular flower I want incorporated, and I have never been disappointed with an arrangement. Gorgeous flowers that last a long time! Over time they have increased their delivery minimum and now charge a $10 delivery fee, which doesn't make them as competitively priced compared to the big online flower delivery sites, but what you get for a similar price is something a lot more personal and unique (and still a little more bang for buck). read more

I have been using this florist for several years for prom, semi formals and winter balls. For the last 3 years I have been a faithful 3 times a year customer. I have 2 boys and also my friends have added their boys onto my order when we order the flowers. Every time I have picked up my flowers they have been beautiful and others always rave about them. This last time, I was not happy with how a bow was done and wanted to make a change. I was told in so many words by the owner to take my business else where. It was extremely rude and hurtful, that the other woman redoing my bow apologized for this woman's remark. I was flying in from CA for our daughters graduation. I contacted this florist the day before our arrival and asked for a boquet of red roses wrapped in cellophane. We arrived in town earlier than expected so I phoned and asked if i could pick up the boquet early. I was told it was no problem and she'd have it ready in 15 minutes. When i arrived I was very pleased with the arrangement. The red roses were beautiful and of good quality. Included were two types of fern along with two other fillers. The boquet was absolutely stunning, eloquently wrapped in white tissue, then cellophane and tied with a big red bow. Our daughter was delighed with the boquet and received several compliments. I can assure you they were the most gorgeous boquet on campus that day! The professional photographer hired for the event was even taking pictures of our daughter displaying her diploma along with the lovely boquet. This little florist shop was an excellent find.
