This is our third time using them in two months for 3 separate occasions. First was Mother's Day which they did a beautiful arrangement but didn't follow delivery directions which upset my husband. Every year, my friend in California sends me flowers for my July birthday and they are from Valley Falls Flower Shop. They're always fresh and beautifully displayed in glass containers that are so pretty, that I've kept them. The flowers I received for this year's birthday are positively breathtaking. They were designed so skillfully that no matter what side I display on my table, they look tremendously different and spectacular. It's like I have multiple floral arrangements in one vase! I posted a photo on one of my social media sites and my friend said "there is nothing like this in Chicago." She asked if I'd send her the vase and I said I would. I always advocate to "shop local." Valley Falls Flower Shop (Cumberland, RI) has been in business since 1930. I am in awe of how fresh and beautiful the flowers always are and how artfully they are arranged. He ushered me and my mother-in-law to a comfortable, private area to sit and view their catalogs. Shiela assisted us with our selections and made excellent recommendations. She was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The total cost was quite reasonable. Seeing the four arrangements and urn surround displayed at the funeral home exceeded my expectations. These heartless (choice word) individuals had the nerve to come to my family's house on the day we were laying my grandfather to rest and attempted to retrieve flowers that had been delivered (by a family friend) earlier that morning. Apparently, the person who had ordered the flowers, had called to complain that they were not what she had requested and instead of honoring their own mistake, an employee showed up at our home (without conveying any information as to what was going on --- not to mention, an hour before the wake) and put my family through an emotional ordeal I wouldn't wish on anyone. According to the employee, it was our fault that he had to retrieve the flowers, and that was about the extent of the explanation we received. Please do not support this shop! The manager of the shop wouldn't even apologize for his employee's behavior under the circumstances and acted as if it were justified. I've never been so offended in my life, horrible horrible human beings. I've contacted the town and the state in regards to this ordeal and pray that others will never have to go through it themselves. read more

This place is AMAZING! I've been getting beautiful fresh flowers here for over 15 years and would not even consider going to another florist in Rhode Island. The staff here are all very friendly, knowledgeable, patient (I'm a guy and need as much guidance as I can in this department..haha) easy to work with and never try to up-sell you. I always walk out with an amazing arrangement and get excited to light up someone's day with a gift of beautiful flowers all for a VERY reasonable price. This florist just did the flowers for my dad's wake and funeral. They were gorgeous and an amazing quality for the (reasonable) price. The sprays were full and regal looking. My dad was a veteran and they did an elegant red, white and blue theme for us. We ordered two sprays for the sides of the casket/alter, a small heart from my daughter, and my aunt ordered a matching spray that also went to the cemetery. Each bouquet was full and wide, made with high quality flowers and were perfect to honor my dad. Not only were the flowers beautiful but we received wonderful customer service despite walking in a day before one of their busiest days - Valentine's Day. The woman who sat with us was compassionate and patient at an extremely sensitive time. I highly recommend this florist. read more

I contacted this florist when I wanted to send a bouquet to someone in the area. The website had a bouquet of purple tulips which I ordered. Not sure how the flowers here are, perhaps someone could vet the delivery drivers better. A delivery van drove around from behind me while I was at a yield sign at a massive rotary in Cumberland, cut me off and then drove in the middle of both lanes to approach another rotary which he blew through. Not sure ANY flowers in that vehicle are still intact based on the speed and recklessness of that driver. You're not playing grand theft auto, you're delivering flowers. read more

This florist is great. I hadn't used a florist in the Lincoln area before, so I called and they were great with helping me get the right bouquet. From order to delivery it was only a few hours! I only give 2 stars because they delivered in a timely fashion. Just beware if you order online because if they don't have that arrangement they will send something "Close". I guess they keep up all their arrangements year round on their website, regardless of if they have that arrangement or not. Pretty disappointing. I had flowers sent over the holidays, and my debit card was charged twice over a period of one and half weeks. Thinking I had money in my account i made other purchases and the account went into an overdraft. When the mistake was brought to Valley Falls Florist attention, I didn't receive an apology, I had to call 3 times before I was told my account had been credited and they refused to pay the overdraft charges. I spent an entire day on the phone with these people and the bank experiencing more frustration than the flowers were worth. The lack of apology really got to me though and that's why I'm writing this review. The flowers were pretty, but the cost that I paid for them put a bad taste in my mouth and I would tell everyone I know to go elsewhere for their floral needs. read more

Completely disappointed. Ordered a delivery for my wife to be sent to her work and got completely taken for $60. I asked for an arrangement of red and white roses and make it 'Christmas-y'. I also specified NO carnations as my wife despises them ( for who knows why). What she got was this very small arrangement With 4 roses and a bunch of carnations inside a small glass sleigh. Very Christmas- y yes. What I ordered - and payed for? No! Looking at their website and it appears the Same arrangement that was delivered goes for something around $30. My subsequent phone call to the shop produced a VERY frustrating experience one that they offered to exchange the sleigh with a vase. What? AND at my expense I had to bring them the arrangement to get it 'fixed'. They completely lost me on this. They didn't even try to make good on anything! Too bad that stop and shop offers a much better value than a florist like this. read more
