From the moment I spoke with Chris, I knew he was going to be the floral designer for my daughter's wedding. He returned calls, answered emails, and never left me feeling that he was in it for only my money. Out of 5 other vendors that I reached out to, Chris was the only one that checked off all of the boxes. Every other vendor I spoke with mentioned their minimum price, right off the bat, not Chris, he wanted to know what the vibe was, what flower we liked, and what we thought we wanted to spend. I thought he and his team would do great work, but he did so much more - he made the venue look magical. As my daughter and my new son-in-law knelt at the altar, I could not help but notice how beautiful the flowers he provided in the chapel were. When we made it back to the venue, I was blown away - Chris and his team made the venue look like it was straight out of a fairytale book. It is now 5 days after the wedding, and I have several arrangements that I took home, and they still look perfect. The flowers still look fresh enough to use for another wedding. During COVID-19 they have been putting together beautiful porch bouquets that you can send to a friend or family member to brighten up their day. I was hoping to score a porch bouquet for Mother's Day, but since they were sold out I went with their Mad Mini option. It came out beautiful!!!! For the price it is a touch on the small side, but they use all high end bigger blooms which makes it worth it. My Mom loved her arrangements and their card selections are super cute. The owner hand writes all the card messages which gives it a nice touch. My only complaint was that the $20 shipping charge was pretty steep. I think $10 would have been more reasonable and on par with what other florists in the area are charging for delivery. If they delivery fee went down a bit I would defineitly use them again. They create really beautiful works of flowr art!!

Let me say that I do understand it was the day before Mother's Day but there was only 2 other customers in the store when I was there. An employee came over and asked if we had been helped yet. We told her "no, we are waiting for assistance " she went to the back and came out with another woman who asked what we needed. I told her we were there to order a bridal bouquet. The second woman told me " I don't have anyone who can talk to you, you will have to come back another day". I have never felt so unvalued as a customer from a business as I did that day. No one could take 10 minutes to ask what exactly I needed. (I know it was 10 minutes because I timed the visit to a different florist who took the time to speak to me and it took 10 minutes to choose the flowers I liked and to pay her for them.) So my experience at Gilmore's was not good in any way that day. I specifically chose Gilmore's because I want to support local businesses as much as I can, but it seemed like while they were important to me, my business was not important enough to take a few minutes to talk to me.

Our wedding was canceled due to the pandemic, but a few days before the intended date we learned we could be married anyways - Semia provided a bridal bouquet and boutonniere that were beyond our wildest hopes, and gave some extra flowers that I was able to put in my hair to complete the look.
