What can I say but "incredible." She was highly recommended to me through another plastic surgeon and she has been so good to me. Follows up on emails, voicemails, phone calls, etc. Her staff and her do their very best to stay in communication and answer all and every question and concern that you may have. Dr Mussat is board certified and after my surgery I can see that it is well worth the time and choosing her. I have had surgeries in my past (heart, foot, etc) and unfortunately this time after the procedure I didn't do so well from the anesthesia. So I ended up staying the night at the hospital. Dr Mussat came to check on me after my procedure, later in the evening and then again in the morning. According to several Nurses, they all said she is so caring and attentive to her patients. They don't see many surgeons go out of their way the way Dr Mussat does. To me that was such a relief. That solidified that in the end this was the best choice for me. Dr. Mussat did a mini brachioplasty on me in May 2021 and then thigh lipo in July 2021. She did an amazing job on both and I am so thankful! Sometimes you have to wait quite a bit for your appt and that sucks, but I think it's just because she has so many patients and obligations. I had an unfortunate accident with an extremely hot tea that spilled on my foot. Initially I waited to see a doctor because my lack of insurance. As time progressed I couldn't move my foot without excruciating pain. I was devastated and scared of what the extent of my burn was. A church member recommended her and when I called her office Dr Mussat saw me right away and treated me for 2nd degree burn. She was so caring and reassured me that it was going to be fine. She cleaned my foot up , prescribed special medication , and instructed me on how to clean it daily. I saw her once a week and I have fully recovered. She has such a kind heart. read more

The office reminds me of a bad 80's movie. Appointments are in a paper book and not a computer. The receptionist takes a photo of you for the file before actually asking I came in for Botox and the receptionist had me fill out a 10 page questionnaire for surgery. I was not in for surgery. My appointment was at 2. I arrived at 1:50, after I finished my extensive paperwork I was shown to a room. Where I then sat for 30+ minutes, where no one came in to apologize or tell me they were running behind. I get Botox all the time, and it's an in and out in 15 minute process. I understand doctors run behind but it's polite to tell your patient before hand. Our time is valuable too. I was here on my lunch. Finally after 40 minutes I went to ask how much longer, the receptionist didn't even apologize. She just said she'd check to see and she should be finished shortly. Finally Dr Mussat came in. Very lovely lady and informative but my appointment should never have run an hour I'd like to give a better review but I truly felt that my time was not as valuable as the doctors. And no amends were attempted to correct or apologize for the ridiculous wait time. read more

I had Bi Lateral removal of McGhan textured implants (recalled) and donut lift. I am very happy with my outcome and my scars are looking great 5 months post op. I stayed in the hospital 2 nights due to issues of why I needed the implants removed and my care was wonderful with staff and subsequent post check ups. Dr. Mussat does submit insurance for you. Her visit fee is deducted from your surgery if you follow through. I really liked her guidelines for pre and post op instructions. I feel they absolutely helped in my recovery. I've had implants for 3.5 years. Shortly after my daughters birth in April 2020 all my BII symptoms started and my health went downhill within a matter of weeks. I'm 34 fairly active, so after seeing my regular family physician and doing labs I knew immediately my breast implants were starting to poison me. I was that girl who thought maybe BII only affects those who already have some underlying health issues. I was very wrong. In 2014, I had a procedure done with implants that didn't go well. I didn't see my vision at all. I was sad. I searched for a woman doctor and I found Dr mussat. After seeing the reviews I just had to make an appointment with her. In 2015, I met Dr mussat, And after speaking with her I didn't want to see anyone else but her. I decided to remove my implants due to pain that I was having. So the day has come for me to have surgery with Dr mussat. She really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. And OMG!! I have a rather hard skin condition to treat. I went online and messaged Dr. Mussat's office to make an appointment. They called me back to let me know they had an opening for 5pm on a Friday. Driving from 3.5 hours away, I wasn't too happy to hear that but, I was really excited to see her after reading all of her great reviews. The office emailed me two times for a confirmation after I responded yes to the first confirmation. Then the office called me three times to confirm the appointment even though I responded yes to all previous confirmations. At this point, I was starting to get really irritated... When I arrived at her office, she saw me, took pictures of my skin, put me on a diet, told me there was nothing she could do for me because I'm not a resident of IL and charged me a $100. I drove 3.5 hours to get to the office in standstill Chicago traffic. I'm sure you all can imagine the amount of rage I felt at that point when I knew I wasted time, gas, and money and still had another 3.5 hours to drive back home in more Chicago traffic. To the office of Dr. Mussat, was it too much trouble to ask if I was a resident of IL before scheduling an appointment? Apparently so. You knew very well why I was coming to see you. It was probably much easier to waste my time and take my money. And since you ask your customers to leave glowing reviews for you when they leave your office, I thought I would do you a favor and oblige. By the way, five out of five stars is starting to really make sense now...whoops, make that four and half out of five now. If it is hard for them to disclose simple information like this, it makes me wonder what other important information they will forget to tell you. read more

I went in for a couple skin irritations and she was very thorough in her examination and answered all of my questions. I usually feel as though some doctors like to rush through each appointment, but Dr. Mussat took her time and was very attentive. I highly recommend her! In addition, I had surgery to fix my cleft lip when I was a baby and felt as though that additional work was needed to correct it. Three cheers for Dr. Mussat!!! I have been seeing Dr. Mussat for a few years. Originally for botox. Now, for peels, fillers and yes, botox. Upon my first visit, I was very nervous...not wanting to look "frozen" or "fake". She talked me through the procedure and before I knew it...no more wrinkles...yet, I could still make expressions!! She is awesome!! After having precancerous tissue removed from my face by my dermatologist...I discussed having a peel with Dr. Mussat. She explained once again about the procedure...I'm on my second peel....my sun damaged skin"spots" are flaking away. It is a great relief knowing this procedure will greatly reduce any chance of further precancerous tissue removals. I was worried I would look like a "fire" victim...with huge patches peeling from my face.....not the case! It looks like dry skin...which I discuss openly with friends and strangers. I also worried I wouldn't be able to work with the public in fear of "scaring" my guests. Nobody has noticed, till I bring up the peel. Funny, many have asked the same questions I had about botox, fillers and peels. I'm glad I'm able to correct their misconceptions of botox , fillers and peels. Dr Mussat is by far the best liposuction plastic surgeon in Chicago! The lipo work was fantastic, she thinned my thighs and got rid of the stomach pouch that was exercise resistant. I love my thinned thighs and my flat stomach and feel fab thanks to Dr Mussat's talents. Over the last 10 years, Dr Mussat has helped out with a mole here ot there, fillers on the cheeks, botox on the forehead and at the eyes, but the results of the lipo are her best work on me yet!! My doctor /patient relationship with Dr. Mussat started six years ago when I was diagnosed with a benign tumor on the inside of my ankle. The tumor continued to grow and became painful, so I went in search of a plastic surgeon and was recommended Dr. Mussat by two friends of mine that raved about her. I had two moles that appeared out the nowhere in my body and I had no idea why, but, Dr.Mussat exquisitely explained the reason of my problem and why moles like the ones I had tend to appeared on female and male bodies, leaving me with no questions whatsoever. As well, she explain the procedure in detail, something that I was very nervous about, but she made me confident, comfortable and secure about it. I wanted a doctor who did this surgery in a hospital setting and willing to take pictures and send implants off to labs . Wow , she really over exceeded all of my expectations . I had implants in 1978 , didn't have a problem until 2005 when left one leaked. put saline in 2005 , don't even remember doctor .That's when problems started. I had a problems ever since , just didn't know it was the implants . I think it's because not many of us have reactions, but boy I did . First started with skin rash , diarrhea daily , muscle pain , flu / colds all the time ,dizzy , list goes on and on . The last few years I finally gave up , always a fit woman who went to the gym and ate healthy . No matter what I ate I had diarrhea ,and now i could not think at all . left my job after 20 years because my co workers and friends could tell that I could no longer think clearly . I had a terrible cyst on my forehead that was aesthetically hideous as well as very painful. I had previously visited a dermatologist who misdiagnosed and mistreated the cyst for two months. I became desperate and started to call every dermatologist in town until one suggested I call a cosmetic plastic surgeon instead. It took me 8 years to decide to have a breast augmentation! I consulted with several surgeons investigating their different techniques and hoping to be convinced of their expertise. One of my concerns was how visible the scars would be and how natural looking the result would be. I was seduced by the level of confidence that Dr. Mussat showed and entrusted her with my surgery. She did an incredible job and I truly regret I did not go to her sooner. She decided to do a breast lift at the same time (I breastfed 3 children) and introduced the implants through a half circle opening on the very upper line of my nipples. It is so well done that when I removed the tiny strips of bandages after three weeks, it was barely visible! I also had some liposuction done on my abdomen, my lower back and thighs. The bruises were gone after exactly two weeks and although I am supposed to get the final results after 6 months, I can already see a huge difference ! Dr. Mussat encourages me to walk every day and to eat healthy providing me with an ongoing support that I need to maintain a weight I am now very comfortable with.
