It was tiny, but packed a huge flavor, and it was the first time I ate a steak that melted like butter with every bite. It is amazing how a filet sandwich can be so soft, so tender, so flavorful - it's an experience that I won't soon forget. Because the sandwich was pretty small, I also enjoyed the Frito pie. The saltiness of the Fritos (that reminded me of being a child) juxtaposed with the tanginess of the pickled red onions, cream, cilantro and savory chopped wagyu meat was such a fun, but elevated nacho dish. There were so many drinks to choose from, but I really wanted to focus on the food this time. The staff (I think her name is Tuesday) was so kind and knowledgeable - she's the one who led me to the epic sandwich experience I had. The vibe was pretty chill despite being extremely busy. I'm typically not very cognizant of what people around me are eating, but the father and son at the table next to me had a burger, burrito, pb&j sando and more, and I have to admit, I was kind of jealous, because I wanted to try it all! If you've never been, use a GPS app and know it's in a little industrial park right off 15th in Pompano (east of Dixie). You'll probably see orn of their delivery truck in the parking lot. A lovely woman welcomed us inside. There, we found a small shop with pastas, sauces, and a lovely assortment of Italian cookies. She showed us a price list with their cheese options. We settled on the burrata, cherry size mozzarella balls, and fresh buffalo mozzarella. The cheese is delicious and so fresh. It is just like the amazing cheese you can get at fine shops in Italy. What a gem we have this cheese maker in Pompano! Our visit was brief as sadly they do not provide a tour like they did years ago.
