I'm not a connoisseur of fine meats (although I'm familiar with wagyu generally speaking). After all, I was a vegetarian for 18 years. But it's been 9 hours, and I still can't stop thinking about the Australian Wagyu Filet Katsu Sando I had for lunch. It was tiny, but packed a huge flavor, and it was the first time I ate a steak that melted like butter with every bite. It is amazing how a filet sandwich can be so soft, so tender, so flavorful - it's an experience that I won't soon forget. Because the sandwich was pretty small, I also enjoyed the Frito pie. The saltiness of the Fritos (that reminded me of being a child) juxtaposed with the tanginess of the pickled red onions, cream, cilantro and savory chopped wagyu meat was such a fun, but elevated nacho dish. There were so many drinks to choose from, but I really wanted to focus on the food this time. The staff (I think her name is Tuesday) was so kind and knowledgeable - she's the one who led me to the epic sandwich experience I had. The vibe was pretty chill despite being extremely busy. I'm typically not very cognizant of what people around me are eating, but the father and son at the table next to me had a burger, burrito, pb&j sando and more, and I have to admit, I was kind of jealous, because I wanted to try it all! I went with the Japanese egg salad--can you say to die for?! I also got to taste the wontons and the pork sandwich, and both were exceptional. But the winner of the day? The PB&J. Palm beach meats is a famous location and deserves all the hype. It's really a fun hole in the wall but has a Michelin star and is absolutely incredible. I go there often with my wife to pick up different food to go but it's also a fantastic place to sit down and have a meal. The food is exceptional, staff is very friendly. Just a really great place. We came here for lunch. We'd been here a few years back for a Yelp drop in event and finally made it back on our own. TLDR: Pricey but good. I'd craved a hot dog and remembered they offered wagyu dogs. When we got here they were fairly busy. We ordered and paid at the counter. I got a classic Wagyu dog. It usually comes with yellow mustard and chopped onions and chips. I ordered it without onions and subbed tater tots ($2 more) for the chips. They delivered it with onions, but quickly corrected it. Both the hotdog and tots were very good... and very filling. My husband got their Chicago Wagyu dog with all the fixings and a side of chips. Both dogs were large portions. We each had one of their Boylan's sodas. I'd chosen their diet cola and he got their red birch beer. But after reading that there was 100 milligrams of caffeine from coffee in the cola, my husband was nice enough to switch sodas with me. As I said in the beginning, the food was good. This place is unique. So many meats. But paying over $50 for a lunch of two hotdogs and two sodas may be a bit out of range for most folks even if the meat is wagyu -- and certainly what we wouldn't be able to do regularly. read more

Hubby and I were brainstorming places to eat the day after new year and I mentioned this spot. Staff was extremely helpful at helping us narrow down our choices. We decided on the wagyu lumpia as a starter which are like small spring rolls. The dipping sauce definitely gave it a sweet flavor to the savory taste. For my entree I got the wagyu burger and hubby the Philly cheesesteak. They were both great portions to share and delicious with every bite and paired well with house made chips. Carnivore Foodie Nirvana! I'm amazed that I missed writing about Palm Beach Meats! A Bib Gourmand Michelin restaurant, several dishes have been given Michelin designation. Honestly? They're all pretty damn good! This go-round, I tried the pastrami sliders which are off the chain! See the photo. They do a lot of Wagyu here. Honestly? I generally don't like places that do a lot of Wagyu. They tend to lean into the fat too much and don't balance their acids in contrast in their dishes. This place is like a perfect teeter totter sitting in the dead middle. The dishes are well thought through. They don't leave you feeling like you ate 10 tons of food. The cases are full of meats that you can take home and cook as well as cheeses that are exotic and interesting wines and beer and exotic sodas. All kinds of special condiments and foodstuffs. Service is excellent! Order at the counter, but they give you great attention! It's a small place. Desserts are so good that it's scary! Japanese Cream Sandos are a unique one! The dining room is clean comfortable, not pretentious. They're playing 80s Ramones tunes and "Cherry Bomb," and other tunes that just make you smile. read more

Cute little store with a few tables. They sell high-end meats by the pound. Some are packaged and some are sliced/cut for you. Seems like all the beef is wagyu so obviously good quality with a high price tag. They also make a few sandwiches. Mainly steak. We decided to try the Australian Wagyu filet sandwich. It was very small. It's hard to say if the meat was really good or not because the sandwich was really overloaded with sauce, onion straws, some other stuff. You really couldn't taste the meat. Honestly did not particularly love this at all. Also ordered tater tots, which were wildly over-salted. So, 2 very small sandwiches, 1 tater tots, 1 potato chips. That's it. With tax and tip, $79.12. Very disappointing experience. I placed a to-go order today and ended up waiting 40 minutes before I was allowed to leave with my food. During the entire wait, nobody provided a clear explanation for the delay. Christopher helped me place the order, but when I repeatedly asked why it was taking so long, he was unable to give me any meaningful answer. The situation became even more frustrating when I was told that an approximately $10 item I had purchased could not be processed through InKind. Instead of finding a reasonable solution, they essentially held my food until they could get their boss on the phone. To avoid waiting even longer, I simply returned the item. What stood out most was the complete lack of ownership from anyone involved. Neither Christopher nor the manager took responsibility for the situation, offered a real explanation, or even apologized for the excessive delay and inconvenience. The manager appeared completely unaware of what was going on and provided no meaningful assistance. Poor communication, poor customer service, and a complete lack of respect for customers' time. A simple explanation and sincere apology would have gone a long way, but neither was offered. After this experience, I will not be coming back. read more

I love everything about this place... so well conceived. From their business logo to the seating areas, food displays/coolers, wines, the space is designed at a very high level and is genuinely impressive. They even have a large parking lot, so there's really no excuse not to stop by. While they're clearly obsessed with Wagyu beef... and rightfully so... the market also offers an impressive array of interesting, high-quality food products that you'll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. The Wagyu selection itself is fantastic. They operate a wholesale business supplying high-end restaurants, and we all benefit from their decision to make these exceptional products available to the public here. I only planned a quick stop on my way to PBI, so I'll definitely be back when I have more time to really explore. Aside from the market aspect, there's a limited menu of food items available to order and eat there (or takeout). I did sneak an order in to try their Wagyu Hot Dog... loved it... and it's served with perfectly made potato chips. Great that you can order food at the counter and then they will serve it at one of the tables, aslo a few seats at their counter. Super casual with a high level of service. Very cool spot with a ton of awesome meats, menu items and drinks! There are a ton of different Wagyu cuts that looked really good. The prices seem pretty fair for the meat but I have not gotten a chance to try. I was able to try two of their sandwiches, the Wagyu katsu sando and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were very tasty. The tater tots were also incredible. I can't wait to come back and try more stuff. The place itself is very cool, and they have a cooler filled with cool sodas, and beverages. I hadn't checkout Palm Beach Meats since they first opened. At first, I thought it was just a butcher shop, but then discovered they had a dining menu for all things wagyu beef -- and mostly sandwiches. And anything involving wagyu burgers is going to peak my interest. The Wagyu burger is amazingly magical. I ordered mine with Nueske bacon, a fried egg, and a side of truffle aioli. Every bite was bliss and a beautiful blast of burgerliciousness. I am curious about their Wagyu hot dogs and the Wagyu cheese steaks. So I'll be checking out those items when I return. Additionally, they have a great selection of Australian and Japanese Wagyu steaks for purchase behind the cooler displays as well as cheeses, cured meats, and more. Came here to grab a quick lunch and as always it was delightful. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. We ordered and paid at the counter and then sat at the table. They brought us water and then our food as it was ready. The wagyu wontons were absolutely out of this world! The lumpia was deliciously crispy and the sauce that accompanied it was a great addition. The burger was very yummy, it was flavorful and juicy. We got it medium. To get the fries as a side there was a $2 up charge, but it was worth it in my opinion. Palm Beach Meats was absolutely a five-star experience for us. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Topper, which was $19.99, and it was outstanding. It came served in a bowl with white fried rice topped with scallions, pickled onions and carrots, Wagyu beef, and an egg. Every bite was flavorful and well-balanced. We also ordered the PBM Wagyu Burger cooked medium well, and at $19.99, it was absolutely spectacular. It was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and ketchup, and it did not disappoint. We paired our meal with a couple of their specialty soft drinks from Boylan Bottling Company, including the cane cola, which was a great touch. The ambience is intimate and inviting. I really loved the setup. They have a meat cooler on display featuring the meats they use and sell, bottles of wine on the shelves, and a refrigerator stocked with specialty drinks. It is not just a restaurant experience, but also a meat market where you can purchase Wagyu and other specialty meats. The whole place has a charming, little Italian-style decor that makes it feel unique and welcoming. Rosemary took our order, made excellent recommendations, and also came by to clear our table. Her service added a lot to the experience and made us feel well taken care of. This is definitely a do-over for us. I loved the logo, I loved the setting, and most of all, I loved the food. Such a unique concept Tried a few things in the past but it's been a while. Popped in for takeout recently and really impressed. Fab casual vibe and super nice employees. In addition to regular menu items they also have unique pantry staples (everything from gluten free ramen noodles, Japanese teas & candied citrus peel to charcuterie and cheeses) + drinks for sale. Frito pie was a bit different than previously (no radishes and now pickled onions) but still delish. The chili on it is fab. Salad came with a tasty herby house made dressing. So this review is hard. It was our first time to the restaurant and we loved the vibe/atmosphere and the staff was super friendly and offered great customer service. We came for lunch ordered the special that comes with your choice of atmosphere, entree and dessert. Everything is waygu for a great price so we were super excited to try. We each ordered the special with different items so we can try everything. All of it was delicious! We had the spring rolls, empanadas, Philly cheesecake, a rice bowl and a beef tallow brownie for dessert. Here's where I get conflicted, we did not eat breakfast that day and we just went for lunch. Both me and my husband became very ill that evening and couldn't eat dinner. My husband notified management saying for safety reasons we just wanted to let them no in case others got sick. Management was very kind to respond quickly and also issue a refund. I truly liked everything but being very sick was not great and it made me question if I could return there truthfully. This place should only be a 5-star. The meat is outstanding. The menu is small, but all the dishes have been delicious so far. My top picks are the Wagyu bologna sandwich, the meat is cooked well with no fat; this was my favorite sandwich. The Wagyu empanada served with chimichurri sauce is better than a Cuban empanada, packed with flavor; the tiny bits of olives give it a really good taste. The fried rice with steak is a small portion, but it's delicious and comes with a fried over-medium egg; the yolk is soft, and it comes with fried bits of onions. I really like the garlic rice, served with a side of atchara, which is actually good; I requested this on the side, just in case I didn't like it. I must also note that I've been here twice, and they've done a wonderful job hiring their employees, who are very welcoming and patient. They truly take their time to help you with your food selection. Today, I went there with my son, and we had a nice experience; the food was delicious, and the guy was very attentive and friendly. Thus far the quality in the food has been excellent, the cooks do a fantastic job. Great employees make a very big difference; if I owned a business, this is the kind of employees I would hire. For Father's Day, since it was the 3rd Sunday, we decided to order from their biscuit pop up shop, for takeout. We had the meatloaf biscuit, fried chicken biscuits, egg biscuit, plus a few extra biscuits with butter and jam. The fried chicken biscuit was supposed to have a spicy mango coleslaw, but I didn't find it spicy at all - but it was very tasty. My parents loved the meatloaf biscuit, and people loved the egg one as well. Sometimes ordering biscuits to go doesn't work out well, the biscuits can get dry and hard. Not these biscuits. They were light and fluffy, but sturdy enough for sandwiches. The strawberry jam was especially good on a plain biscuit. We would definitely do this pop up again...but maybe get a few more extra biscuits, as we happily ate almost every bite we ordered, so there was not much leftover to enjoy the next day. Today was the 3rd Sunday of the month, so it was Biscuit Pop Up Day! We ordered one of each kind of biscuit sandwich. The biscuits were huge, and just as important, they were the perfect consistency--flakey, but not too flakey such that they would crumble instead of holding together. That was important given how stuffed each sandwich was! The other positive: We ordered them to go, and they traveled well, even the egg and cheese biscuit. The Fried Chicken Thigh sandwich comes with hot sauce mango coleslaw, but it was not so spicy. That can be positive or negative, depending on what your tolerance level is. For me personally, I would have preferred more kick. The biscuits and sandwiches are the specialty of Chef Daniel Ramos and Red Splendor Farm. In addition to the once/month biscuit pop up on the 3rd Sunday of the month, they also do farm-to-table dining on the 4th Sunday of the month.
