Store was like, Messy marvin lived in the back and Oscar The Grouch was slumped down to his neck at the desk but, as a veteran I could see his shoulder and upper arm starting to grip his weapon, as I peaked around the corner. Because there was no greeting, after electronic entry. My 83 yrs mother was behind me and only then did he sit up and stand. Hand resting on gun still and we greeted him and since we were returning customers after a purchase from 30 years prior. He ask where I was from and says "I hate everyone from philly" after that tells me I can't stand Irish people either, unknown comic here. Small back story, my mom wanted to sell the gun as she retired and didn't want to hassle at some other place and went back to where she bought it from. The owner Irv offered her 300$ and offered to buy her car even though she was only there to sell him back the gun. She said he was creepy and she felt uncomfortable with him alone in his messy palace. She originally paid 510$ plus another 100 for ammo and holster and cleaning kit for a long gun. I offered to go with her when I arrive back in florida. I told her if we have all the original boxes, paperwork and such it was worth more. Now we are back to the store experience. I use all my patients and think I can get more than 300$ previously offered and he says 200$ cites condition and age as a problem. Less than 20 rounds shot for cpw cleaned and put away in case sold by him, even brought the ammo boxes missing the rounds. Bottom line gave pawn shop price, called a couple and was quoted 200 over phone no pics just my description. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS RACIST and his rude little self . read more

Honestly very unprofessional and weird I never leave reviews but I ain't see 1 gun on display I was in the area trying to look around and window shop and possibly buy something I liked the guy said he has nothing and I got him at a bad time, asked me what I was looking for I told him he said okay fine come back next week I come back the start of the next week and same thing 2 guys just talking about some crap way back when unhappy to see me only happy thing in there was the turtle they had but I asked about the gun this guy tells me he sold it off to a customer read more

I have visited this place twice now. First time, no one wanted to help me. They had zero selection and they were unable to order anything either. I thought I caught them on a bad day. Came back again the other day, they told me they are no longer conducting business for the rest of the year to close out orders. I wish there was a 0 start option, the worst experience ever. IRV is super rude and makes paying clients feel as if he's doing them a favor. I paid him $176 since October 2018 to get my license renewed, tried calling and email still nothing, until today 7/15/2019 he emails me saying "what's my problem" for me to call the state. I'm a disabled army veteran so my renewal should have been a 1 2 quick process. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and specifically not anyone from the arms forces. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, they don't answer your phone call, all he does is collect the money and leave you out to dry. read more

I'm new to firearms and wanted to purchase one; but the person I spoke with was so rude and nasty! I just asked for a particular brand and he said the company went out of business! Wrong! Then tried to talk me into another brand; okay that's fine, but when I asked about the model and price; he said "Find your gun somewhere else!!!" Really! Such a lack of professionalism let alone customer service! Will NEVER recommend this place!! read more

My Husband & I relatively new to Florida, and had the best experience with the Owner, Irving, & also his Son, who teaches the classes....b/c of their top notch customer advice & service. They take your time to inform You of all of your options, the best way to go; treating You like a close friend or family member. We pass by to see Irving when we are nearby, and he is always in the store at anytime during the business day. He has very informative advice on all of his products, all laws, and then, is so knowledgeable, he has guided us as newbies to Florida, with recommendations for other professional services that are helpful to any new transplant to South Florida. You cannot go wrong, this is the Best Man & Family to work with for any of your firearm or related needs, and he treats everyone with the most care & concern. Very glad we found him & his fine establishment, and we will do the classes with his son Michael soon; and they have been very kind & patient with us with scheduling the classes that we look forward to doing soon this year.... read more

If you'd like to know why people who aren't white male NRA Members don't like gun stores, check out this gem and you'll see how poorly we gun people do to attract others. My mom was getting her hair done across the street at Saints & Scissors, so I stopped in to "kill time", but in truth I had a pocket full of money and was open to looking at long guns, or buying ammo and snap caps. Owners seem to be two older gentlemen who barely acknowledged my existence.... The store is THREADBARE, some used pistols but that's about it. Very small selection.. Nevertheless, i had a unique experience. A man came in while I was there who just suffered a home invasion after Hurricane Irma. He's like "Hey, I've never shot a gun in my life......what do I do??" The owner is asking him questions about whether he wants a carry license, and how much he wants to spend on a gun. Brings him to the handguns since they don't carry any shotguns or rifles (well, they had three, I guess..), and starts showing him different prices. Dude has money. Never asked about prices. Doesn't know the differencwe b/w a $199 hi piont and a $700 10mm Glock. I was about to advise him to consider a S&W because they're reliable and the owner's like "take a seat." (I was standing). So....pretty much I'm nto going to throw you out, but you're not welcome to talk to my walk-in customer who's freakin' petrified over a home invasion, even though I clearly don't know how to offer counsel. THINK: Charmless old men who still carry 1911s, are poor at making friends and seem to not give a shit about new business. This store is awful. You'll do better to choose JOHNSON FIREARMS or BIRD ROAD PAWN. read more

This place is great. Small business, mom/pop type shop. They have great deals and offer concealed weapons permit classes. They do everything for you there for the CWP. They offer law enforcement and military discounts. If you walk in and are just browsing, I recommend at least having some knowledge about guns. Owner is a bit touchy feeling and does not like to waste his time. If you know you are going to purchase and know what you want, he will give you great deals! Not only on firearms but ammo. Ammo is also very cheap there. Always fully stocked! He's got a great selection of antiques/collectables and new inventory. Just have to know how to talk to him. read more
