I was totally amazed at the dedication to educating the public about gun safety, getting armed and carrying daily. I have attended events they host and all of the staff and volunteers are exceptional. Even when disaster struck with the hurricane this summer, FGS, rallied their customers and the citizens of surrounding towns to gather supplies and deliver them to Texas. As a newbie, I was a bit nervous. I was warmly greeted by other students and staff members. Bryan was my Professional Concealed Weapons Training instructor with a great attitude, easy going and decades of experience in a 3 hour class. Bryan was a seasoned firearms carrier, articulate with a great sense of humor that kept everyone engaged and on point. With that engagement, he created a team of all the students, each of us had a job (scribe, safety, etc) and that made the class more personal. I appreciated Bryan's and my teammates help (Thanks Juan!) and patience by respectfully and kindly stepping in to help with my mistakes and questions. No question was too difficult or silly for Bryan, he did a wonderful job! I wish there were locations south a bit more, I would go over often! I attended their basic handgun safety class today (3/2/2019) and have to say, from check-in until finish it was a smooth and fun experience. Andy was a great instructor and very informative, as well making the whole experience comfortable for the first timers. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Don't forget to pick up the alliance discount card at the end, it's totally worth it. A week went by, no emails or phone calls, I called them and it was out of stock. After a month, I finally received it, but wrong gun. Called to let them know and cancel my order and to credit my account, they said okay because they haven't shipped it yet. Guess what...they shipped it anyway. I order an extra magazine for my EC9S in April, when I made the purchase the website said the item was in stock. I checked a day later and the website said it could take up to six months to receive item. Tomorrow is the 1st of December and no item. I have called and emailed multiple times with no response. Will be contacting Better Buiness Bureau. This is company very unprofesional and rude. I pay for a service and get nothing in return. Hmmm small claims court. I found out that I couldn't get a permit for a gun purchased from Andy at Florida gun supply it cost me another 38$ to send it back to him on top of the 244 gun cost and now he won't reply to me after numerous ways of contact so I could get my money back. I went in there to inquire purchasing a hand gun. I have a home in Florida and because sidearm laws are less strict than in NY I thought, "why not". I don't have much experience shopping in gun stores, so I was pretty appalled by the level of inappropriateness of the staff. I overheard a few of the clerks speaking with their friends about MFZ's (muslim free zones) and one of them used a racist word for Middle Eastern men. A buddy of mine and I went there to take our concealed carry class, they wasted our time trying to explain things that were unnecessary. They charged me a $20 fee to help me with my application and took a photo of me. DO NOT pay them that $20, instead go to the DMV or your local cvs or Walgreens to get your passport photo. They'll try to tell you you're saving so much time but that's incorrect, trust me when I tell you that this place was sketchy and unprofessional. When I first arrived we had this girl behind the counter that was helping us, but instead she insulted me and my buddy. Very unprofessional, they are just old townies that like guns and that's fine, but they shouldn't be giving any advice or teaching any classes. The whole class they were trying to get you to buy other classes. DO NOT go to this place! read more

This location is the worst. First they over charge for guns you can get the same gun at any other gun shop for 100-200 less than here. Second they charged me a restocking fee on a order i canceled the day after i made the original order. This would not be an issue if they said that a restocking fee would apply on cancelled ordered but the didn't. Also when i called to cancel my order i was told i would get a full refund but then the next day i get an email from someone named Joe Renard that i all of a sudden have to pay a restocking fee. Some months back I was traveling North from Miami to Lake City and stopped by Fl Gun Supply to browse, I was looking for a nice semi shotgun and maybe a traditions gun. The place is like a military armory and when I asked about what I was looking for they made no attempt to help me but rather went out of their way to demean and insult me for wanting something other than a military weapon. I wouldn't be surprised it they had KKK rallies there and militia meetings, This place is just uncomfortable for a normal person, like ISIS American style. I took an active shooter training course through FGS once and I went in with an opened mind, but I left with having not learned a single thing. Only part I thought was cool was the simulation you could try. Even the gun disarms we learned weren't safe. The "disarm" left the barrel pointed at your face the entire time, which how is that safe (I study Krav Maga and other forms of hand to hand combat for the last few years)? Also Andy's credentials, from what I've seen, only cover basic handgun, nothing defensive related. Also, I don't see him going to any training courses to continue his education, unlike other trainers, which includes Special Forces and LEOs, I see in FL do. With how cool Andy is and how I agree with his views and efforts within the 2A community, I cannot recommended a class at FGS. read more

I have actually been to their range ( twice ) and the store. The staff is very friendly. Allot of free knowledge and the fact that they train people for free is awsome.They support the gun community with their events such as the Fishing Open Carry March, and gun give aways. I just wish I lived closer to take advantage of all the events they have. As for the other comments on Yelp, I find some of them unlikely to be true.
