My son went for one day during the summer to "volunteer" upon checking on him via text, I find out…read morethat he's been in a recreational room all day and wasn't asked to do anything. Someone stole his lunch and no staff offered to let him eat the lunch that the club provides either. I found out later that they thought he was a summer camp student, not a volunteer so they just stuck him with his age group and went about their day. I find this highly disturbing when I shook hands with the person in charge in the morning while introducing my son and explaining that he was there to volunteer. I ended up picking him up early and never going back. They were very unorganized and when confronted with the issue, instead of apologizing and offering an explanation, I was told that he had to ask for tasks in order to do anything, otherwise he would just be sitting around. How do you expect a young teenager to know to do that when they have no job experience, no training and absolutely no direction given. We will never be back here again. My son will volunteer elsewhere.

All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

There was also a variety of food trucks, A playground area for kids, a Harley Davidson tent for shopping, Raffles, Exotic Car show, Bounce houses, Rock climbing Wall, and visits by Santa, Elmo & Baby Shark. The weather & temperature was fantastic for a fun filled day for all ages!!! And a lot of people dressed in their holiday gear as well.

However, the excitement diminished into hurt this past Friday, five minutes into the lesson my son started complaining that he wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home. The manager/owner said sorry he is not well, but I already paid the instructor for the 30 minutes and will not be able to refund or reschedule his lesson. When she realized I wasn't backing down from this unfair policy, she said I don't want any trouble so I will refund you 1/2 for the session. She missed the point entirely! This customer service experience was hurtful and disappointing as I felt like she wasn't sympathetic to the fact that my son wasn't well, instead she was annoyed that she was losing money for the session. As a fellow business owner, I know how vital it is to provide a fantastic customer experience to all customers. Sadly, the owner of ProMusic Plus doesn't feel the same.
