We hope to come back and do an all day or half day sandbar tour on one of the boats. She really was incredibly accommodating. Don't forget to tip you're guide. It really was SO worth it. Our reservation was for 9:30am...we were told to arrive at 9:15am for paperwork....we arrived at 9:04am....one of the employees called in sick and the owner, Angel was doing a one man show. (Getting the skies ready and doing paperwork, running for gas.) At 10:00am we had our vest on ready to go!....then a group of cruise people showed up 10:03am...asking if they could join our tour....(their reservation was for the 11am tour.)....Angel did tell them no, we had been waiting awhile for our tour. ***WE LEFT THE DOCK AT10:09!!!!!!am... went out to the gulf, road around, Angel explained 'sacrificial leaf's of the mangroves, swam for about 10 minutes. ***WE CAME BACK TO THE DOCK AT 10:56am!!!!!! ***(I wear a waterproof Apple watch; and was wearing it today!) I asked Angel about our short trip being less than an hour....he said it was by mileage and not time.....BUT HAD WE LEFT AT 9:30AM AND RETURNED AT 11:00AM...THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN 1.5 HOURS!!!! ***I understand an employee called in sick, but that is NOT my issue...then leaving half an half hour late...I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THAT!!! ***DOWNTOWN ON DUVALL STREET (next to the The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory)....THERE IS A GENTLEMAN SELLING 2 HOUR 27MILE ISLAND TOURS 50.00 LESS THAN WE PAID WITH 'ISLAND SAFARI TOURS'!!!!----THE MAN SAID YOU CAN SNORKEL ON HIS TOURS RIGHTOFF THE JET SKIES!!!!!!!! It's exhilarating and you will get a workout. Our guide, Josh, was both fun and capable. Highly recommend if you like a thrill. Tips: Sunglasses are necessary. But not for the sun. There's an awful lot of spray and they work as goggles. Guys, if you have compression shorts (spandex) wear that instead of a bathing suit. At 45mph your bathing suit will catch the wind and ride up on you. They'll hold your bags behind the counter. Josh did take photos and texted them to us. Strong possibility you will be sore the next day (our swells in the Atlantic were 2-3 feet)! Plan accordingly

We booked the snorkel and sandbar tour, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience…read morefrom start to finish. The night before our tour, a member of our group came down with food poisoning. I called to see if we could reschedule for another day. I was told that wasn't possible because it was a same-day cancellation, which, while disappointing, I understood. However, when we arrived for the tour, we were informed that we would not be snorkeling at the reef as advertised because of the sea and wind conditions. Instead, we were taken to a trench to snorkel. This was nothing like the experience we had booked. The snorkeling was underwhelming at best. We basically saw a few small fish, a stingray, and mostly brown coral. When it came time to visit the sandbar, our guide told us the conditions were too rough and advised against going. Rather than taking us to an alternate sandbar or another snorkeling location, we remained at the same trench for nearly four hours. We specifically chose this tour because some members of our group wanted to snorkel while others were looking forward to relaxing at the sandbar. Since neither part of the advertised experience was delivered as expected, the entire trip was a letdown. Afterward, we requested a partial refund since the snorkel and sandbar tour costs significantly more than a snorkeling-only trip. Our request was denied because they claimed we "chose" not to go to the sandbar. That's not an accurate representation of what happened. We followed the captain's recommendation that it wasn't safe or enjoyable to go due to the conditions. What frustrates me most is the inconsistency. They wouldn't allow us to reschedule when we had a legitimate reason, yet they still ran a tour that couldn't provide the experience we paid for because the conditions weren't suitable. If the weather prevented them from delivering the advertised tour, they should have offered customers the option to reschedule or receive a partial refund. Overall, this felt like the company prioritized collecting payment over providing the experience they advertised or making things right when they couldn't. I would not recommend booking with them.
