The campus beautifully integrates lush greenery, open water views, and shaded walkways, creating an environment that feels both energizing and peaceful at the same time. What makes the experience especially unique is the architectural diversity. The blend of Art Deco influences, Brutalist structures, and modern design elements creates a refreshing visual rhythm throughout the campus. Each building feels intentionally placed, elegantly portrayed, and connected to its surroundings, allowing nature to become part of the design rather than simply a backdrop. A highlight of the visit is the Lowe Art Museum, which encompasses a thoughtfully curated selection of both modern and historical works. The collection feels balanced and accessible, allowing visitors to move naturally between different artistic periods and styles while maintaining a cohesive narrative. The best way to experience the University of Miami and the Lowe Art Museum is by walking the grounds on a fresh Miami day. The gentle breeze, filtered sunlight through the palms, and harmonious architecture make the visit feel less like a tour and more like a relaxing cultural escape. Ps. Easy access from the Metro Rail UM station... The result is an inspiring setting where academic life and aesthetic beauty coexist effortlessly, encouraging visitors to slow down and truly appreciate the space.

He donated the land and money with the mission of bringing a higher education institution to the growing South Florida community. The college adopted the nickname Hurricanes in memory of the devastating 1926 storm that hit the area just as the university opened. After the land boom bust the college struggled but it experienced significant growth after WWII. Their football program boosted them to national prominence leading to academic expansion. and they celebrated their 100 year anniversary last year. The University of Miami spans 240 acres on the main Coral Gables campus. It has a strong albeit expensive academic program including a medical school. Their colors are orange, green, and white representing Florida's citrus industry. The mascot is Sebastian the Ibis. The campus is park like with large trees, the man made Osceola lake from the 1940's in the center, and 1920's architecture with the oolite limestone Coral Gables is known for. I have visited the Lowe's Art Museum on campus and the Gifford Arboretum in the past and most recently I came for the Beaux arts Festival now in it's 75th year. Now could not be a better time to visit since UM is in the College Football Playoff National Championship against the Indiana Hoosiers. They have won five football championships since 1983 and we are hoping for number six. To make the famous UM hand gesture hold up your hands in front of you palms out and put your thumbs so they are touching and your hands form a U shape. UM fever has spread throughout the entire city of Miami with events happening in conjunction with the big game all weekend long. The highly anticipated game takes place Monday night. Go Canes!

I started the whole process with them January 20 25 paid them in full as I'm a self-pay student. They have not been able to get their act together yet taken $13,999 from me and One week after I sent them wire for that amount they deactivated my NSU email and shark link account and withdrew me from all of my classes for fall 2025. I had applied to six other universities and not pursued those even though they would've been closer to my home because I thought NOVA would be the best as they promoted themselves and told me everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. Well, it's not fine and now at the final hour before I'm supposed to begin they have made my life a complete and utter hell and stress. The reality is, they will do everything in their power to dismiss you especially if you're outspoken, advocate for yourself, or simply refuse to be silent. Speaking up for yourself? Trust me, they'll find a way to push you out. Talking to the director? Doesn't matter--they don't care. It's all about tuition dollars. They set students up to fail. Concerns aren't addressed, they're brushed aside. The entire system feels designed to profit off students instead of genuinely educating them. Bottom line: this school is not invested in your success it's invested in your wallet.

We pay tens of thousands to attend a school that is lacking in sufficient equipment. Don't let them fool you, the school only consists of 2 floors in the entire office building. With very little study spaces compared to the other campuses. Additionally the "simulation labs" are quite lacking. The arms for IV insertions are falling apart and some are unusable. There are only 3 IV pumps that must be spread out through both floors. Attending open lab is a joke since there isn't enough equipment available. Many things broken or used way past their prime. WHERE is our money going? To add insult to injury, the "student events" we receive are a total joke. For Example, Los Angeles campus received a holiday party that was catered with a Crepe station with many toppings and food to choose from. Our school, where we pay the SAME amount, received cookies to "decorate" but NOT eat because the expiration date on the cookie box was 2020!!!! Are you joking? We pay 100k+ and you can't afford some non expired cookies? Our food option was one box of Walmart cookies that were old and stale. It was an absolute joke and just insulting considering there are people going into debt just to be here. DO BETTER !

The place is a scam, all that tuition money they charge and the place is so run down, no security cameras, and their carpets haven't been cleaned in atleast a century. The Rad tech program machines either don't work or are severely outdated, leaving students at a disadvantage when they get to clinicals. the positioning instructor (which is the only one for the whole program) has 3 years tops of field experience and that's being generous. She's incredibly insecure, unreliable and unstable, resorting to physically pushing her students just for attempting to ask a question during a lecture that cost them thousands of dollars and countless sacrifice to attend. The ambiance is very high school, with the teachers joining in and having favorites or students they basically try to edge out to get their money. there's no semblance of professionalism to be found in that program except for *maybe* the newly appointed director. the administration is uneducated and insensitive, and they expect you to not only take the abuse from their instructors, but also to abandon work, and any other responsibilities outside their program with no empathy and no regard to the consequences that may bring to your life. if I could give zero stars I would. this place is legit criminal and should be shut down.
