My doctor informed me my injury would take approx 4 months to repair but after 6 weeks I feel as good as new. If I ever need rehab in future I will definitely use this facility again. Please DEMAND Select Specialty Hospital on 6th Ave. No, it's not a 5 star stay. But it is MUCH BETTER than kindred. And these are your only options. Even though gardens medical won't tell you this is an option. Kindred has way too many patients to nurses ratio. Basic care is neglected. My father had ending stages of copd. While at kindred, something started going on with his heart, so he went back to ER at pbg medical. ER Dr said his trach hadn't been suctioned and was clogged, as well as there being little plastic pieces that you would normally throw away, but they just left them in the trach. My dad also laid in his feces for hours on a day where I was home w my infant who was sick. You will have to ask for your loved one to get any hygienic care. It's not done bc you know, these are human beings. The place is horrid. And I wouldn't want any one to experience that hell. We were lucky according to many reviews, they almost killed my dad, but luckily an icu nurse at pbg medical overheard me refuse to send my dad back to kindred, as the case worker from that hospital literally cut me off at my every attempt to tell her WHY I don't want him going there. The nurse told me about select, and I had to fight for it. But we got him there. And they actually did do physical therapy with my dad, and my dad ended up going home and living another 2 years. He just passed on Thanksgiving 2024. But.... I am now facing the same exact scenario with my stepdad who is about to be discharged from pbg medical. And people need to be warned. If the 1 star reviews of others telling their experiences, and how their loved one never made it out aren't enough.... Please take this warning seriously. No one deserves that dark, dirty, dingy place which is understaffed. There are good nurses there, I don't want to take away from the ones who truly were amazing. But they are highly outnumbered, and even w the good ones, as I said... they have way too many patients.

He does not over treat like some doctors are notorious of doing. He treats the symptoms and issue appropriately. As for the rehab. side of it, they are fantastic! Eric, David and Danielle are all incredibly kind, professional people who's purpose is to get you moving as soon as possible. They have helped me with two issues I have had (herniated disks and impingement syndrome) and I have not had any problems at all!
