My 3 sons are all customers so this is my third time around with wisdom teeth surgery. The staff is professional and caring. The doctor went above and beyond more than any other medical professional I've ever encountered to explain the risks of surgery and the FL laws related to addictive pain medicine that he is able to prescribe post-op. My son this past month didn't want the oxy that the doctor could prescribe because he is an athlete and will work thru his pain. The doc explained how is own son didn't need potentially addictive pain meds, either. In summary, I like FOS for their position on educating patients, pain management and a faith based practice that said a prayer for my son prior to surgery. TERRIBLE experience. This man was called to help my father who was in a traumatic motorcycle accident at ORMC. He fixed his jaw and wired him shut. We are thankful for that! On the flip side, his office staff are rude and nasty humans, and come to find out Dr. DeWild is 10x worse than his staff. He mentioned to my father his wife divorced him and took all of his money, which must be the reason he harasses trauma PT's for money. He wouldn't take my father's wires out without payment. We came in as an emergency trauma and with all the bills we have with my dad, we didn't have the $14,000 he had asked for. You can't refuse to take wires out just bc we are poor. We didn't ask for this all to happen, bill the insurance! After emailing the CNO and risk management for ORMC, my father had his wires removed this morning but in a barbaric way. Dr DeWild yelled at him the entire time saying how dare you contact my boss, I don't do this for free, you must pay he doesn't make enough money... they didn't even put the numbing cream on my fathers gums!!!! He was waiting for it, he even selected a flavor with the nurse and dr DeWild came in gave him shots and was extremely aggressive saying here you'll never have to see me again.... GOOD I HOPE NO ONE EVER SEES YOU AGAIN DR DEWILD. You have the WORST bed side manner I have ever seen! It's truly disgusting and that's why your horrible reviews started 12 years ago and they will absolutely continue. You cannot be a medical bully I won't allow for it. This doctor is all about money. Not about saving me anything. He didn't want to go to ORMC hospital to do my oral surgery but he told one of the emergency doctor to tell me to go to his office so he get pay from me more money. If he would have go to the hospital and did my surgery then it would have been cover under my health insurance, which is he won't get pay a lot. That mean I have to pay him over $3000 from my pockets. No one have that kind of money laying around. He would have done that same surgery if he get call in to the hospital but then my insurance would have cover my surgery due to emergency service. This doctor call the emergency doctor and tell me to go to his office and do it. This is my first time in the emergency room so I didn't know if I leave the hospital then the health insurance will no longer cover. And they don't take my health insurance either. This office is a scam and they want to look for ways they can make more money for themselves and not trying to save you any money. This doctor and his family will have a terrible karma for doing this. So please don't go to this dentist office beca they are not going to help your pockets. And they charged me $500 just to go in and they take a look at my teeth. $500 just for looking. Other dental offices will not do this to you. I have found another place and she is wonderful. So people please look around for another place before go to this place. There is so many better trustworthy places around Orlando. read more

Wish I could leave zero stars. Awful experience. There are MUCH KINDER offices to go to in Florida! I personally don't recommend. The staff are monsters, the first one was rude and hung up on me when I was trying to ask her simple questions prior to my appointment. I still went to my appointment, thinking maybe the lady was having a bad day. Nope these monsters were worse in person, they gang up on people and attack. Low level, no compassion, no patience. I was referred to Dr. DeWild by my dentist for the extraction of my four wisdom teeth. I can sincerely say that the entire experience with the doctor and his staff has been phenomenal. I was able to make an appointment right away. The wait times to be seen were short. I had my extraction done quickly. They were informative and attentive. They thoroughly explained what I would need to do to ensure that I would heal well. I had no negative side effects after the surgery. The pricing was incredible fair for the procedure and included initial consultation, extraction, anesthesia and follow-up. The office is clean and well-kept. The staff is very friendly and kind. HORRIBLE - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!  The good reviews are completely misleading!!!! I went in for a consultation for my child and although the receptionist was nice the nurse was so rude and the Doctor was even worse! My Child's ortho recommended we see an oral surgeon for the removal of 2 teeth and possible exposures. I also saw a general dentist the week before our visit to the oral surgeon and they said she may only need 1 tooth extracted because the other was about to fall out and probably wouldn't need an exposure on that side.  I provided all of the X-rays and referrals. When I tried to verify the nurse had the current paperwork for the doctor to review she gave me so much attitude! The doctor came in and he was worse than the nurse! He barely looked at my child, he barely looked at the X-ray.... When I brought up the recommendations he said- OKAY! just don't do the surgery and delay the orthodontic treatment it's up to you!... I said "I'm obviously here to continue treatment and I was looking for your 'expert opinion' based on the current x-ray" he said "I can't answer that it's like going to a restaurant and having them tell you if you wanted the chicken salad or a burger".... I said "WHAT? You can't look at the X-ray and tell me if my child needs to have surgery on that tooth?" He replied in a nasty tone "GO BACK TO YOUR ORTHODONTIST AND ASK THEM! OR DELAY YOUR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT."  I have NEVER been treated like this by any doctors office in my life!!! My daughter and I couldn't wait to leave and both looked at each other when we left and agreed NO FREAKING WAY WOULD WE EVER GO BACK TO THE OFFICE. read more

I made appt as referred by my dentist. I was on time at my appt and filled out paperwork. Clean office, pleasant staff, bubbly exray tech. Saw doctor after 1/2 wait. He could not do an extraction because I had an MI four years ago and he stated I was at risk to have another, despite my glowing reports from my cardiologist? So I suggest they call office for my cardio's approval. They stated they need to fax. As expected, response came back within an hour for approval. But my morning was shot by that time. Biggest complaint: They charge me $25 to handle the fax approval. Really. Could have handled by having a standard question in advance of arrival for those things that might preclude going forward. Then to charge me to fax it. Could have photo'ed it on my phone to them for free. Charged me for office visit before I left, however. Tacky. read more

Oh my god what a horrific experience at this location. Called first thing in the morning to verify appointment for an emergency, they told me that they didn't have any open appointments but that if I came right now it would be quick and easy I got there at 9:40 AM got scene for the very first time at 11 AM x-rays and consultation with Don and I was sitting back in the waiting room by 11:20 AM I was then called back at 1214 p.m. and numbed for a tooth extraction the doctor said he would be back in 10 minutes. He returned back to the room at 1:28 PM and then told me that it would be five minutes I said OK I'll give you five minutes he told me never mind leave I don't want to do it anymore. I have never in my life experienced such horrific terrible rude unprofessionalism. horrible! unorganized! unprofessional! rude! came in for the consultation, had none of our paperwork!! Had one x-ray of mine AND IT WAS FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL! After consultation was done he came to the payment area to tell me after that maybeeeee it's not the best idea to remove my whole tooth now that he's looking at it? I'm sorry how do you decide that after payment???? Now comes the day to remove wisdom teeth. They didn't have my script in at the cvs!!! Had to call them to get them to do the script. THEN They had incorrect medication to pick up. We call them to tell them it's the wrong medication and dr.de-asshole told us he's cancelling our appointment because he's going to miss his very important LUNCH! I TOOK OFF WORK FOR DAYS! INCONSIDERATE. I have anxiety and leading up to this procedure has been a lot FOR IT BE CANCELED BECAUSE THEY CANT DO THEIR JOB RIGHT IS INSANE ! Not too busy, the location of the office is pretty.. the interior is very modern and pretty. The paper work isnt overwhelming. The wait is a bit longer than expected since I did come early to my appointment. The staff here are great! They are very attentive, informing, and they take the time to really talk to their patient. I really like the nurse who walked me into the room and took the panel xray of my teeth. We had a nice conversation and helped me calm down a tad bit since I am really nervous and scared to have the extraction. The doctor is very knowledgeable and he went over the procedure and the process of what to do before surgery and during surgery. Everyone where is very down to earth and I'm glad Ifound them on google. There are many dental offices I can choose from and I'm glad I chose this one. It's quite a drive too. I drove about an hour here. I scheduled an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed. Let's see how that goes. Pricing is decent in my opinion.. I'm not really sure since I haven't been to the dentist. My removal costs around $1250 including 4 wisdom teeth and a follow up. If it wasn't for the promotion it would be really pricey. read more

If i could give less than 1 start i would... i came in with my sister while she was waiting for her 1st appointment in the process of getting her wisdom teeth removed, and we were completely forgotten about or something, left in an examination room for an hour and a half!!! Eventually ended up walking out and all the receptionist had to say was "oh do you need something" when we told her how long we had been waiting all she had to say was "would u like to reschedule?" Instead of an apology or let me check with the doctor as to what might be going on... absolutely nothing.... when we booked another appointment we received an extremely rude phone call asking if we were still coming in... This place definitely needs to find themselves a new receptionist. I will never be returning or recommending. read more

The staff is friendly and professional. The procedure went ok as i was sedated. The doctor takes time off a lot and only works one or two days a week. That was the cause for my horror story. My procedure was done one week ago on s Tuesday. The Friday after the procedure i had horrible pain and needed help. No one was at the office that could help and he has no one he refers his patients to for an emergency. I still have on and off horrible pain in that extraction site. Not pleased with the outcome as i am still in pain and nothing was done. read more

Great staff! The only criticism I have is that I had an appointment for 3PM and got there around 2:35PM which gave me plenty of time to fill out the paperwork. A woman came in with her son after me but did have a 2:45PM appointment. I didn't mind the wait because I understand that sometimes the unexpected happens - but they called me before the woman who had the earlier appointment. She happened to appear extremely anxious so I told the staff member to take her before me as her appointment was before mine and we both were on time. The woman was extremely appreciative. I think that you should go according to your appointment schedule and not who came in first unless the patient is late and then they can fall to the back of the line. Other than that Dr. DeWild is very open and honest with his assessment. Office is lovely and very comfortable. read more

Very unprofessional. I had a wisdom tooth consultation appointment for my child at 3pm. I arrived 10 minutes early. I was greeted by the receptionist that asked if we had current x-rays. I was not asked to bring these when I made my appointment 1 1/2 month ago. So I kindly told her no, and she said she would try to call my dentist and request them, if she had time. We waited in the waiting room for an hour before being called back. The hygienist was very nice, however, after she interviewed us we waited approximately another 45 minutes. I finally had to ask how much longer until we could be seen, and they said we were next. At 4:50 the dentist came in, and asked why we were here. Then he asked nearly all the same questions the hygentist asked, barely inspected my daughters mouth by leaning over her and using a tongue depressor. Then he proceeded to tell us a military story and "sell us" on taking out the teeth like we were ignorant. He answered a few questions and then we were off to talk to the financial lady. We were out the door by 5:07. So we were at the office for 2 hours and 17 minutes, for a 17 minute appointment. Ridiculous. This office is extremely unprofessional. read more

After waiting in the worst pain ever for 3 hours i finally got him to pull the tooth, with attitude and all. There care credit web site was down so the weren't going to do anything the finally called and got my approval the the girl in the office chatted for 15 minutes with someone on the other end of the phone about what flyers she recieved and which ones she did not.I Icannot believe anyone would recommend such a place. 25 minutes after injecting the novacaine i started to walk out thats when he finally came back with food in his mouth. read more

This oral surgeon was wonderful. My daughter needs her wisdom teeth out ASAP and they understood that and fit her in. The receptionist answered both my questions and my husband's. We had a lot. When we got there, the office was extremely clean and pleasant. All the staff members were nice, helpful, and patient with all our questions. My daughter was treated with respect and curtesy. They made sure she was comfortable and really explained everything about the process throughly. I was very impressed with the service.
