Decadent. That's about the only word you need to describe the Glass Knife. We had breakfast here…read moreand finished off with some cakes and deserts. Inside dining area is tight with small availability so get there early if you want to sit without a wait. Once seated the food and service is top knotch. I've ordered a few cakes here as well so if you need a birthday or special event cake this is the spot to go. Highly recommend.

The Chocolate Duet Cake from The Glass Knife said "I'm rich, I'm dark, I'm decadent... and I know…read moreit." Look: 5/5 -- Absolutely gorgeous. She came dressed for the occasion. Elegant, glossy, and almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Taste & Texture: 4/5 -- This cake is RICH rich. Deep, dark chocolate, decadent layers, and the kind of cake where you take a bite and need a moment of silence afterward. The cake itself? BLISS. Moist, luxurious, chocolatey perfection. My only little "ehhh" was the texture of the glaçage drip. Personally, it wasn't my favorite mouthfeel--but listen, that did NOT stop my fork from continuing its ministry. If you like your chocolate cake dark, decadent, rich, and a little sexy... baby, this is the move. Basically, this isn't "lemme grab a little piece of cake." This is "close the blinds, cancel my plans, and leave me alone with this chocolate decadence." Chocolate Duet Cake: 4/5 Would absolutely commit chocolate sins again.

Devouring a Melt Brownie is an excellent way to satisfy your sweet tooth!…read more I couldn't help but notice this store while navigating traffic in the area. We were on our way to dinner and as soon as I seen Melt Brownie I knew what we would be having for dessert. Just as planned, we stopped in after dinner and fortunately for us, I had a buy two get two free brownies in the rewards section of my Melt Brownie app. If you don't already have the app I recommend downloading it before arriving because they give you a free brownie just for downloading the app. You also get a free brownie every year on your birthday, can't beat that! The young lady working the counter was very friendly and informed us of their current specials. We went with the Chocolate S'mores, the Brookie, Peanut Butter Brunch, and The Strawberry Cheesecake. With the coupon our order came to a little over $8, not bad. The strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter crunch were our favorites. The store was organized; however, the two tables and chairs along the window (only ones to sit at) we're not clean and had sticky residue and crumbs from previous guests. Not the end of the world but we wanted to enjoy some of our dessert here and take the rest home for later. All and all, I like supporting small businesses like Melt Brownie. They provide an awesome option for dessert and it's much cheaper than what you will pay at a typical restaurant. I recommend them and would come back again if in the area.

So we picked out a strawberry cheesecake brownie a peanut butter brownie a chocolate s'mores brownie and a regular chocolate chip brownie. I take them home and cut them in little pieces and then we can enjoy them for a day or two. They make the brownies right there in front of you adding all the toppings it's kind of cool! Love this place I will come again.

I'm not entirely sure how it is that I have never reviewed the original Gideon's as I've been going…read morehere for years? Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different.
