    Birthday Cake!
    Ben H.

Cake was amazing and everyone loved it. Thank you for helping make my girlfriends birthday so special !

Ordered cupcakes, cake and cake pops from them for my gender reveal and it was probably the best decision I ever made! Price was great and affordable. Desserts were beautiful and exactly how I wanted them. The taste was out of this world! There's was nothing left after the party and everyone left happy and wanting more! Personally my favorite were the cake pops they were to die for ! Definitely will be ordering again for my baby shower and for future events !

Adorable cafe! The friends theme is pretty subtle but it's really cute as well. As an art lover, I…read moreappreciate the unique art featured on the wall by local artists. It's a great cafe to work from, there were several people working and on calls. The service was friendly and informative-- you go up to the counter to order and they deliver your food to your table. I ordered a breakfast panini with a latte, both were delicious. I can't wait to come back and try their juices as they looked really interesting. Overall, great experience and great location! Extra points for my panini coming out in the shape of a heart - such a nice touch that made my day!

We only waited maybe 5 minutes for the coffee and only a few minutes more for the food which was brought out to our table. Looking around, it seems like this was the spot in downtown Baldwin for an early coffee due to many other shops not being opened yet. The crowd was middle aged individuals catching up on the news and enjoying the casual laid back vibes. The cappuccino was delicious. It was perfect for the chilly morning it was and went down smooth. The hot chocolate had a nice richness to the chocolate. The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky so you know it was fresh. The breakfast sandwich had 2 huge eggs on it which made it very filling. The inside was cute and had a seating area that replicated that of the show "Friends" along with lots of coffee decor.

The candied pecans gave it a contrasting sugared crunch making it really addicting to eat, and the candied oranges rounded out the flavors. I hope they'll keep bringing this cookie back!

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different.
