All the prior bad reviews are accurate. I lasted 60 days in a rental before I had to move. I was promised the home would be clean, bug free and ready for move in. I arrived to roaches, a dirty house and the bathtubs were spray painted. The "new" stove, washer and dryer were all broken and then replaced with old rusty appliances after a week of complaining. 7-10 kids kicking the soccer ball into my door and car daily, over 10 complaints filed but nothing changed. WORST experience of my life and of course they kept my deposit. This company manages NOTHING. Milena, Thelma, Fabiola & Glenn Gurvitch were all uncaring and useless. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I am extremely upset with the service I received from this property management company during my move-out process. I had an unfortunate experience with one of their staff members, Milena, who was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. She was texting me, making rude and condescending comments because I didn't fully understand their instructions on what to do with the keys. Instead of offering help, she chose to make fun of me, which I found incredibly disrespectful. Milena's behavior was unacceptable, and she should not be in a position where she deals with customers. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience, especially with Milena's unprofessional and rude handling of the situation. It was a very poor reflection of their service. read more

They have 3rd party subcontractors entering into your apartment, Spanish people speaks no English, and my jewelry was stolen 20 minutes after they left. I realize my 2,200-dollar watch, and 5,000 earrings my grandmother bought me was gone. read more

The worst experience with this property management. They never get to work orders on time. Then never respond on time, and if/when they do, they always hire someone with a van. Not reputable companies. they assume cause our last name is a Spanish one, that they only hire Spanish people. So, I never understand them or can't communicate with them what the problem is. they sent an AC guy to look at electrical work for the patio light and the AC guy to install a new microwave. OH! but that rent better be on time. And don't get me started on the "Emergency call" situation, I got a double talk, politician answer from Ricardo on that. I don't think they ever called the owner to really tell them what is going on with their properties. read more

WARNING TO OWNERS! Glenn Gurvitch (My Area Realty, Floridas Property Management) renews lease without owner's knowledge and approval. Falling for his simple, relatively cheap service package can be very costly! I initially came to that rude awakening about a couple of years ago. In my previous experience with other PMs it had been customary to be notified at the time of lease renewal. That didn't happen with Glenn and the lease was renewed at the same below market rent rate and term. Never was I even notified of that renewal until I inquired. But that experience pails to the one that followed. In July 2023 Glenn sent tenants the lease renewal without getting my approval for the term and rate, and again without even notifying me of what he did. The current lease would expire almost 3 months later. This experience blew my mind. I can't comprehend how there could be any Property Managers out there at all, that can do this to their client owners. When confronted, his email response was: "Sorry, unfortunately we do have the authority to do lease related items on the owner's behalf per the management agreement". At the time this happened, PBC had issued the ordinance of 60 day notice to tenants if lease was not renewed or renewal was in the amount of over 5%. But Glenn issued the renewal without my knowledge and authorization close to 1 month before the ordinance would take effect. When confronted to explain the reason why he didn't notify and get my approval when he had a chance to do so, his email reponse was: "The reason is I have 100-150 renewals a month (2000 units under management) to do so it takes 30 days to get them done so it starts at 90 days prior to have them all done by 60 days." WOW! was my reaction and that of many professionals in the field that I spoke to. It gets worst. After the tenant had signed the renewal and with less then 60 days from lease expiration Glenn offers to void lease and send non renewal to the tenants (if I authorized it), knowing full well the legal and financial implications of running against the Palm Beach County ordinance. Damages of rent loss, loss of opportunity to sell or buy, (not to mention shock and stress) are predetermined by Glenn's actions. Don't let my costly and emotionally distressful experience be yours! read more

Unprofessional and unable to adhere to appointments made with tenants. They are impersonal and do not care about tenants who are living inside the rental communities they represent. If you care about your tenants and want to create a community then stay away from the outsourced management. Like Rome they spread themselves too thin and are now failing at upkeep. read more

This is a tenant review. If you see this company managing your future home, RUN. Where do I even begin with this waste of money and time? My family was in a rush to find a new place to stay after relocating. I should have immediately found another place to stay after we asked if they'd fix the GAPING hole in the bathroom wall of one unit before we'd move in. Their reply was that no one else was bothered by the huge hole in the wall so they'd rather give us another unit instead. RED FLAG. Stupidly, I didn't even view the next unit in person before agreeing to it! We move in and there are SO many things wrong and clear laziness in their so called remodel. The paint literally rubs off the wall. Some parts they didn't even fully paint. Paint drippings on the floors and doorknobs (some new and old, they couldn't be bothered to update them all or clean them). The AC vents looked dark and the ceilings were discolored (I'll get back to this later). They put in a new tub but didn't bother to replace the baseboards they cut away, leaving holes on each side. The clearly ripped the shower door off in the other bathroom, and left the rusty green drain and rust spots where the shower wall was. Holes in the bathroom wall. Glue all over the counter that I had to scrub away. The pantry shelves were painted, but it looks like they painted over either dust or cat hair! Oh my goodness and the power kept going out due to the old rusty breaker. I could rattle on. The worst part is there was MOLD in the AC vents and their contractors painted over it! The AC vents weren't even put back on straight! No urgency from these people to fix it, I have two babies under 4 who have had to visit the doctor after developing asthmatic symptoms! They have the nerve to call the only cleaning company they work with (likely because they charge less than $100 to clean so it's the tenants responsibility) and those people don't even show up! They cancel suddenly and won't even try to come less than a week later. I HAVE CHILDREN LIVING IN MOLD. I've had to leave my home and stay elsewhere for weeks at this point! I will NEVER. NEVER stay at a property managed by these folks again. Sheer laziness. Half A** from start to finish. I can't wait to move out. read more

Florida's Property Management that runs Hillview Flats in Sarasota Fl is are VERY unprofessional. The new property manager named MILLY who works remotely is very disrespectful and rude. She talks over me very loudly, never letting me get one sentence out, and makes accusations and threatens me with notices without investing the situation with one neighbor that I'm having. I've asked her for corporate's number several times and she has refused to give it to me each time. I believe I'm being discriminated against because of my race and age. I'm a 20 year old African American woman who's pregnant just graduated from college and work I'm feeling ambushed, ignored, and harassed and I will lawyer up if I need to. I should not be getting harassed by the place I pay my hard earned money to lay my head at. UNACCEPTABLE. read more

We are renting a house through My area realty property management, Glenn is our property manager representing the landlord. Since we moved in we have experienced : ac unit infested with mold, sewer water backing up in the house (twice), leaking pool, 15 panels in need of repairs for the outside screen, mismatch paint for over 13 walls etc,, the list is long. We will never use their service again, This experience is a real disappointment. read more

In 2016, we were asked to move to Malaysia for 2 years. Having only been in our home for 1 year prior, we did not want to sell and were very reluctant to have renters living in our new home. We did not have much time to plan and arrange for renting our property however, we were very lucky when we contacted Glenn Gurvitch. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable about the process that his team would handle and about being an advocate for us, the owners. We ended up spending almost 3 years in Malaysia and Glenn was able to handle our rental with minimal stress and effort on our part.
