Been here ~10 times now, I didnt want to leave a review until running the gamut in terms of dental care. Very happy with Flossy Dental & the dentists here. Special shout out to Carolina (she's always super friendly and nice!). Wait times are not long (maybe 5 min), and typically only 1, maybe 2 others in the waiting room. The longest i ever waited was maybe 20 mins, but that is not usual. They definitely schedule things with the patient in mind :) This practice also accepts Medi-cal dental insurance which is nice, and for the times i had to pay for something that wasnt covered, their prices were reasonable (pretty much market rate, sometimes a bit lower compared to other places i asked!). Do take caution if you get hygienist Dr. Danan--everything was smooth sailing for me until I got paired with her. She'd be very rough during the cleanings, and always ask if i flossed (which i do, everyday) because my gums bled quite a lot. I never had this issue in previous cleanings (when i was paired with others). I'm not sure if Dr. Danan is new, but I was able to request going back to having my cleanings with someone else, and that worked out great. My gums didnt feel assaulted and there were no issues :) Highly recommend Flossy Dental and even after moving farther away, I still stick with them!! read more

This is an honest updated review. I came here while I was living in California because of the good ratings. While the doctors are friendly and seem knowledgeable, I had a crown done here in 2022; with insurance I still paid $1k out of pocket. Now the reason for the review is that I am currently seeing a new dentist and had let them know that the area around my crown feels sensitive and when I floss, is smelly. And I brush and floss regularly. My new dentist had let me know that my crown was not sitting properly and the X-rays showed that. I need to get it repaired so that it doesn't lead to an infection or decay. Since my crown is barely even 2 years old, they recommended me to call the dentist who did my crown to see if they could fix it or what other options are available since I'm out of state now. Upon calling, the front desk manager had let me know that "there's nothing they could do" because their X-rays show that it was fine. It must've been something I did to make this happen. Super unhelpful no matter what I suggested as to even flying up to Cali to have them look at it and "re-cement it" as the girl said that's all my dentist would have to do. Girl said she would talk to the owner (which I'm assuming she meant doctor) and get back to me within a business day. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm assuming this call will never happen so just beware if you ever get anything done by them. They will not be helpful after all is done. $$$ Lastly, they have incentives for reviews. Give a 5 star rating to get a gift card. That's why you see these reviews coming in spurts. read more

To Whom It May Concern, On March 11, 2025, I underwent a full mouth restoration procedure at Flossy Dental, Harbor City, California, $15,000 for the surgery which was paid for in cash before my surgery was performed by Dr. Lin Thu. Upon waking from the procedure, I immediately vomited large amounts of black fluid which appeared to be blood in the bathroom. Shortly thereafter, I vomited approximately 20 chunks of what appeared to be liver-like material after returning to my room, which caused me severe distress and a near-suffocation event. The nurse on duty witnessed this occurrence. When I asked Dr. Thu why did this happen to me his reply was, "oh it's just your body's reaction to the surgery" but I knew he was lying. When I looked in the mirror following the incident, I was extremely upset to see that the bottom bridge was both crooked, and the abutments are turned in the wrong direction creating a extended lower bridge and he left in 2 roots in my lower gums on both sides when I paid for full extractions. He has never mentioned this to me after I had asked Dr. Lin Thu for full extractions, and I found this out from a different doctor. Dr. Lin Thu has given me an underbite I have never had, and it is seated excessively high. I immediately expressed my dissatisfaction to the dr. and the staff. Since then, I have requested multiple times that the bridge be properly adjusted and lowered, but my requests have not been accommodated but ignored. As a result, my temporary teeth constantly clash against my upper teeth, creating a loud and uncomfortable bite. When chewing on anything the temps feel like they are going to break hindering my ability to eat. All of my temporaries have been crooked and that is not acceptable for a permanent design. At the outset, I was informed that after four months I would receive my permanent teeth. However, despite being placed in seven sets of temporary teeth so far, I have still not received a proper, permanent restoration. Most recently (6/23/2025) at my last appointment the owner of Flossy Dental Dr. Kim Lemire informed me that I should seek another provider to complete the work several times in front of staff after expressing my dissatisfaction and on tape, even though I have already paid her $25,000 in cash and my remaining balance was only $7,000. Today, My permanebt teeth are due and I an very disappointed worried what to do next. I an 66 years old and I feel I have been scammed by Flossy dental and abused. I have obtained three separate estimates for corrective treatment, each ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 and more because other dental providers are unwilling to take on this complex and compromised case. I feel traumatized and remain in a state of distress over this situation. The temporary dental work has consistently been crooked, poorly executed, and unprofessionally managed, and I have been treated with hostility by the owner Dr. Lemire when expressing my concerns even though I was still trying to work with them. Dr. Lemire wrote me a letter lying to say on 7/7/2025 I requested to cut ties with her which is an absolute insult and blatant lie, she is on tape saying u can go elsewhere several times making me feel unwelcomed. She was very rude to me for no reason, under 3 weeks before my final product was due. Before this encounter with Dr. Lemire, I have had little to no contact with her, and as the owner I found that to be very unprofessional. Her labs work produced crooked teeth and bridges which is not what I paid for seven times, and every Dr. I have seen says the lab work is bad. Dr. Lemire owes me 10k for a 10-year insurance policy I cannot use, and this is also under dispute because they do not wish to return my funds. Furthermore, I was shown a photograph of the final prosthetic the practice intends to place in my mouth, which does not match the standards or appearance promoted on their website. Accordingly, I am requesting a full refund of all monies paid to date, along with compensation for pain and suffering, and reimbursement of any legal or court costs associated with pursuing this claim if necessary. 10k was given to Dr. Lemire for 10yrs of insurance I will not be using with them and the office manager refused to credit my account, so we have now opened up a financial dispute to return the funds to the credtor. I am extremely distressed by the lack of professional care I have received, and I demand that this matter be resolved promptly, as I was forced out in temporaries by Dr. Lemire on 6/23/2025 due to her insisting I should seek completion elsewhere. Not sure where to start! Stopped into this office yesterday after my (special needs) adult daughter's doctor's office recommended it. I was able to get a next day appointment and was there this afternoon. The front office staff were all so friendly and helpful. Not only were we able to get checkup, x-rays, and cleaning. We were also able to get her small cavity filled in the same visit. The hygienist took care to get all of the necessary history and was patient throughout the entire exam and cleaning. My daughter started getting panicky when it came time for numbing shot for her filling. Dr Lin Thu was so patient with her as he waited for her to calm down in order to proceed with the filling. If that wasn't enough, I was looking to replace old and broken retainers. Could not believe that they were able to scan and start the process of replacing these retainers for her in today's visit. My daughter requires occasional deep cleanings and her old dental office used to make me pay out-of-pocket for these cleanings. This office has put in for insurance to cover this for me. The icing on the cake was when I asked about the cost of perio-gel for her trays. Her old office used to charge us $75 a tube. Flossy dental group has the same product for $25. So grateful to have found this gem! read more

I have nothing but praise to say about this facility and doctor. I came in with a missing bridge on my front teeth. There was no fixing it and my insurance is not awesome. Several extractions, 1 deep cleaning and 2 mould appointments later I have a mouth full of beautiful, new teeth at little cost to me. I chose a child dentist on purpose because I act like a child at the dentist although I'm 43 and have never even had a deep clean. The dentist will indeed squash your fears as an adult the same way she would a child....she just won't give you a balloon like the kids get. So rude, lol. I want a balloon! It was very minimal pain during all of the procedures. I also demanded to know what every tool was for and she talked me through it.. I even asked for the names and purposes of things I already knew from being in medical care so long such as ammonia should a kid faint. I tested her knowledge and she was spot on every time. You will not find a more honest or caring practice. Ihave seen Beverly Hills dentists such as Pulani who treat you like crap after taking your money and upsell you. This is not that kind of place. The doctors and staff here go above and beyond. I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. See ya in March, Doc. Have a balloon ready this time! Another big point for me was when I was having my teeth pulled she said to me "It's never too late for self love and care". All of a sudden something clicked and I dyed my grey hair, started putting makeup on and dressing to impress. I recently changed insurance and was able to find this office for my son and I to go to. Switching dentists after so many years can be difficult because you establish relationships and comfortability with your existing dentist, sometimes it can make you uneasy trying new places. When we immediately arrived, aesthetically the place looks great and is bright and inviting. The staff were extremely friendly towards us and were great with my 4 year old son. This would be his first cleaning and as you can imagine he was very scared for x-rays and the cleaning. Although we didn't get x-rays completed THIS time, he was brave and was able to get his teeth cleaned and allow Dr. Stephanie to look and Adam one his teeth. I am so appreciative that the staff were so patient and understanding with him being scared. Carolina was wonderful with him and Dr. Stephanie was awesome. My own experience was equally as great and everything was explained thoroughly to me before and after the visit. Sonia was super sweet in explaining costs and procedures and I do recommend this place for adults and children. We are looking forward to our next appointments. read more
