I am so glad I am only going to be on Key Biscayne for one week. After finding F&W on the first morning of my visit to my cousins and returning the next morning I am sure that if I had stayed for an extended period of time and without my wife watching what I ate, I would be at least 20 pounds heavier within a short period of time. I've been a regular customer of this bakery since they opened. It's our weekend go to for a quick take out breakfast. We've had their cinnamon rolls, empanadas, croissants, and eggs deep danish, and all are delicious. The cinnamon rolls have been a little disappointing the last few times though as they've been way over baked to the point of being hard to cut into. The inside is nice and soft but you have to get past the crunchy outside. The croissants are perfection. They do run out of some things pretty early in the day so it's always a good idea to order ahead otherwise you might be disappointed. They're very aware of social distancing and cleanliness which is a plus. I took away one star simply because they run out of stuff pretty early and the over baked cinnamon rolls which I don't think should be sold that way. All in all this place is delicious and worth the drive to the key. read more

Hands down best baked goods in miami. I have never had such a perfectly flaky and buttery croissants in my life. I thought I knew how croissants tasted until I had one here and now I don't know if I'll be able to have them anywhere else. Plain croissant aside, the Its Brisket b*tch Croissant had the perfect amount of brisket to mustard and cheese ratio. These people really know what they are doing. The Beef Empanadas were delicious and the ABC Danish was perfectly sweet. The flavors go great together. This place is going to force me to drive down to Key Biscayne more often and I haven't quite decided how I feel about it. Wow! That is all...just wow. Fresh baked goods like you would not imagine. They take what you thought croissants were your entire life and put them on steroids of deliciousness. The spot is small, as of right now there is not any indoor seating, but there is a patio outside with several tables and umbrellas where small finches like to hangout and wait for crumbs. I do not mind it, but some people do, so it is worth mentioning. I have tried several of their treats but my go-to, obsessed, can not say enough about it is their famous Brisket Croissant. Whaaat?? I know what you are thinking. Brisket Croissant?? when I heard this combo, I was confused but curious. How did they make this happen? I had to try it. I am so glad I did. I now brag about them, but I swear, they do not pay me to. It is just that good! Its not too bready or fluffy, they make it just right. Delicious brisket made to perfection, wrapped in provolone with light mustard inside a perfectly baked croissant. You can not go wrong. If you take it home - reheat in the convection over or oven. Decided to stop by here after seeing a lot of great things on social media. A bit of a trek for me, since it's deep in Key Biscayne, but totally worth it. I ordered the brisket croissant + the cinnamon roll. Unfortunately, they didn't have any brown butter and thyme madelines, even though I got there a little after they opened. Maybe next time! The brisket croissant was super buttery and stuffed with really tender brisket. The cinnamon roll is HUGE - delicious and can definitely be shared. We noticed this place while driving by. Hunger and an open parking spot right out compelled us to go and so we did. According to staff they are known for their brisket croissant so we got that and a chocolate croissant. The brisket croissant was a good size, even shareable; good flavor, buttery flaky crust. Man. What a disappointment. I anticipated this place for months on my bike rides. Every time we would ride by I would ask the boys to stop here instead of our usual spot. Well, when they finally let me have my way, I quickly wished they never did. The first thing was the sign out front that bikers are welcome, but you can't put your bike on the patio.... Yet there's no bike racks. After reading previous reviews I see now they didn't even allow bikes before...on a major bike route. Then there was the rude staff upon entering the store.. not a hello, how are you, have you been here before, a glance, a look... nothing. At the register while ordering he mostly seemed annoyed because he had to work. We first went there for dinner at the "place next doors" and the pizza was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend the pink flamingo drink. Based on our conversations with charlie (who is awesome and super passionate about the store), we came for breakfast and it certainly did not disappoint. Found this hidden gem after going for a morning jog. The staff was friendly and happy to see us. They explained every single item available. Also the wheat is milled in store!!! They are known for their sour doughs! Cheese & Guava pasty is 100% the best I have had in Miami! The ingredients on the Caprese on a Baguette I orded has the freshest ingredients! It's ok. But, the customer service stemming from the owner sucks!!!! Charged $80.00.. then asked for a tip to hand me my food as I'm picking it up. The food is ok.. but the interpersonal skills are non existent. The owner is on the spectrum of autism and the cashier with the mustache major ad&d. It's a shame. Good product, but bad service. Some of the most delicious food we have ever tasted! I had a salmon cheese croissant and the first bite was packed with incredible flavor. Buttery, slightly sweet, lemony flaky goodness. The guava & cheese was excellent, considering I ate it for dessert after dinner the next night. My husband, a Big Green Egg owner, loves the It's Brisket Bitch Croissant. That says a lot. Bought the large sourdough bread and it was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with that awesome tang. I actually sliced it and freezing the rest for our passage to The Bahamas. That Brisket croissant....... wow. So I've been keeping an eye on this place for a while because I was curious about their cinnamon rolls. However, I never made time for a quick stop. Then those brisket croissants came.... . I was finally able to stop by and just in time. They were going to be fresh put of the oven soon, all I had to do was wait 15 minutes. Perfect time for me to scan their menu carefully and just drool over everything on display... the chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls, empanadas, bread... I seriously wanted to take one of each but that day I was on a mission: to get the brisket croissant and the cinnamon rolls and boy was I lucky to get both. The cinnamon roll: ginormous, I mean a very generous size. It had just enough cinnamon without overpowering it. Perfectly balanced. The brisket: warm and freshly out of the oven. The croissant was buttery and flaky and the brisket was soft and moist. It was perfectly paired with provolone cheese and whole grain mustard. I believe the price was $5.50 for it which I think it's great for the portion size. This is definitely a place where you're getting your money's worth, huge portions and great quality. This place is just ok. Don't take me wrong, a 3 star restaurant for me is someplace I would go to regularly. I placed my order and the attendant insisted I wait outside (I was the only one there) . The day I went the tables and chairs outside where unusable as they were covered in bird poop. I strongly dislike sourdough anything and that day it was the only option for the sandwich. Eyes rolled. I get that the world is in an uncertain place right now and people are on edge but that doesn't excuse BAD customer service. From the moment we walked into what seemed like a cute local sandwich shop in Key Biscayne we were greeted by an unfriendly waitress taking our order. When I asked for a grilled cheese sandwich for my son, it became a whole to-do and then I was charged for a ham and cheese ($11.00!) because they do not make "special sandwiches" regardless of our religious dietary restrictions. I asked to speak to the manager, who was just as unfriendly and unwilling to budge on the price of the sandwich. The kid was starving and I didn't have a choice. As customers walked in maskless I watched one by one as they were yelled at not to enter without a mask. There's a normal way to speak to people...
