100% recommend checking this place out if you're even remotely interested in learning real-world…read moremartial arts from someone who genuinely lives and breathes it. I met Sifu Glenn by pure chance before the studio even opened--just saw "Kali" on the back of his sweater and asked if there were classes in SCV. That one random question led to private lessons and eventually being part of something way bigger than I expected. What started for me as a search to learn knife skills turned into a deep dive into arts like Silat, JKD, Muay Thai, and more. And it's not just about fighting--it's the technique, the philosophy, and even the history behind these arts that Sifu Glenn brings into every class. He's incredibly patient, always focused on making sure your technique is clean before speeding things up. One of the first lessons that stuck with me was "slow is smooth, smooth is fast"--something I heard back in the military, and was happy to see the familiar mantra being taught. Another thing I really respect--at the end of each session, he asks what stood out to you or what you learned. In the Army, we called that an after action review. It's a chance to reflect on what you noticed, what you did well, and what you could've done better. That kind of mindset builds real progress. He's generous with his time, keeps communication clear, and is genuinely invested in your growth. If you want real training rooted in purpose, tradition, and skill--this is where you want to be.

I would recommend Sifu Glenn's classes without hesitation. I arrived here searching for FMA…read moreknowledge and enjoying my journey. I also second everything the first reviewer has said. Sifu Glenn combines his lessons from numerous martial arts: Kali, Silat, JKD, Muay Thai and a few grappling arts. With all of us students from different backgrounds and various arts of our own, he teaches us in ways we understand from theory and application and does his best in passing along of the beautiful tradition of these arts. Sifu Glenn is all the best you think of when you think about martial arts masters combined into one if there were one. I appreciate his generosity from his endless depth of knowledge from his experience and am grateful for his kindness and patience.
