I love supporting local but it sucks when you walk into an empty shop with a worker and they just stare at you. I said hi and I got a hi back. Then she just followed me around (I was just looking for flowers). Beautiful Flower Crowns! After an extensive search, I found Flowers 21 to be my answer in designing 3 flower crowns! I went in for a consult bringing with me lots of photos and the colored ribbons that I wanted to use. Both Misha and his mother Nadia were extremely helpful and patient in helping me design 3 flower crowns to be given as graduation gifts. They suggested a variety of flowers that would correspond with the graduation colors, and told me how they would construct the pieces. We discussed prices, the longevity and the types of flowers, and the dyes that they would use to color the baby's breath. It was a very pleasant experience to work with them and I left the consult, assured that their outcome would be good. It was also comforting that they were open on the holiday that I needed the items. When I picked up the crowns, I was blown away at the most beautiful pieces they created! Photos attached. They were all so expertly designed, the colors were vibrant, the right flowers were used and the flowers were fresh! All 3 pieces were STUNNING! The Graduated girls were so very surprised and thrilled to receive them and smiles and compliments were expressed by everyone. This is a family-owned business and I am thankful that these businesses who care about their products, and treat their customers with accommodating respect and helpfulness, are still around in these days and times! I probably could have found other florists that would have lower prices, but the quality, the truthfulness, and the professional customer service over-rides any lower costs. Went to the shop a week in advance of when I needed my corsage and 3 boutonnières. $25/boutonnière and $50 for the corsage. I was set to pick it up a day before the event but ran out of time, picked it up the morning of the event and 1) did not have them ready and 2) was not worth that price. Because of the fast work, there was still hot glue strings coming out from the pieces. All the flowers were pretty small and some fell off as we took it out of the box! read more

We ordered a corsage with our original florist that was unfortunately made with the wrong flowers. This wasn't caught until we picked it up and by that time they did not have the ability to get the correct flowers or remake it. I stopped by Flower 21 to see if they could create something quickly and they were able to put one together in less than 30 minutes. It was beautiful and, of course, very timely. She gave me so much faith, flowers were not something I had to worry about during the entire planning stage as well as the wedding day of. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! When I tell you every floral place I called said they can't do a last minute corsage I mean every single one, except Flower 21. She was swamped with other orders and told me she doesn't have many flowers left, she still stayed on the phone with me to see if we could figure something out. She even gave me her phone number so I could send her photos of what I had in mind if she could do something similar as well as my sister's dress to make it match. When I saw what she made I was shocked by how beautiful it was. I wouldn't have even thought to do a design like this. She stayed after she closed to even do it for me. Attendant in the store was very friendly and helpful as well as well groomed and fashionably dressed. However, attendant called owner to ask price for a SMALL orchid plant - boss said $25. I've seen the same ones for $15 at Trader Joe's so I asked the owner if she had a discount for healthcare professionals. I heard the owner say to the employee on the phone "I don't care if she's a healthcare worker" but gave a price of $21. I said fine because I didn't have time to go to Trader Joe's. However, she lost a future customer. I am a nurse who drives by this shop practically every day for work. For my very special patients, I bring flowers and other goodies. The first bouquet of flowers I received from my boyfriend was from Flower 21. They were for Valentine's Day and I was so happy because they were so beautiful!! My daughters Birthday was April 13th and we were in the middle of this coronavirus so I didn't know if I would find a shop to order her favorite flowers which are tulips. I actually went to yelp to find local florists for Buffalo Grove because if you search for flower shops in Buffalo Grove you get all the 800 #'s which you know are not local. I called my daughters work at a veterinary hospital and asked if they would take flower delivery and keep it a surprise and they said yes so I placed an order Sunday on Flower 21 website and upgraded to the middle price. I didn't get a call that Monday from my daughter by noon so I called Flower 21 and the owner was home with the business # forwarded to her home and was just leaving to go in and make the order and deliver it herself. My daughter was so surprised and I have never had such outstanding service when our country is suffering. I applaud the owner for going over and beyond to put a smile on a customers face. This shop was only about 5 or 10 minutes from my daughters work. I called the owner personally after words and thanked her letting her know what a great job she did for coming through for me and going over and beyond in customer service. We were very disappointed in the flowers that we had sent to a customer. Compared to the picture that was posted on line, the actual flowers delivered to our customer were very very disappointing! We were told that the height of the arrangement would be 18" high by 15" high. The balloon we had attached was bigger than the arrangement! Also, they delivered the wrong flowers to our customer, and had to go back and take back the arrangement and give her this very disappointing arrangement. Do not purchase flowers from this florist! They do not stand behind what they are selling and what is pictured on line. would not offer a discount, and was going to go big the flowers back up from our customer. I wish I could rate this zero stars, but unfortunately I can't. They ruined my anniversary. They delivered one week before the scheduled delivering time. After the mistake, they think it is a normal mistake and they came to my office to take the flowers back and said they will redeliver next week. We were very happy with the flowers on our wedding day as well as the services provided! We met with Sonia twice to ensure our order was well understood. She took the time to ask us questions and write down all the details because details are so important on our wedding day. The arrangements were so pretty and fair for the price as we only wanted to achieve the addition of color with our flowers. Sonia had the flowers for our wedding party ready before store hours so we can have them in time and she came to the ceremony site to transfer our flowers from the ceremony to the reception right on time. The only complaints I have is that she stated she would add in a flower crown for free, but I was not aware it would only include greens and baby's breath. I would've paid the extra money for flowers, had I known. And one of the bridesmaid's flowers unglued from the hair comb and we had to find a way to fix it. read more

I would recommend Flower 21 to anyone! Sonnia, the owner of the shop, is phenomenal! I live in San Francisco and had to plan my wedding flowers with her mostly by email. She responds quickly and you can tell she pays attention to detail. She also understands a person's budget and is flexible and reasonable with pricing. A week before my wedding when I was back in my hometown, Sonnia went through my order with me. She explained that the while calla lilies that came in from Holland were much smaller than she anticipated. Rather than leaving me with these small bouquets that I paid for, she increased the number of white calla lilies- this was a very sweet gesture considering that it was not in our contract and I would not be charged for the extra ones.
