This location is in the POST Houston, so you just order and find a place to sit. I like to walk around the rooftop garden! I was really wowed by how good the ice cream was. We went with the raspberry tres leches and biscoff cookie butter, and they were both accurate to their names! I really enjoyed the soft cake and cookie pieces, and the raspberry and cookie butter flavor were prominent but not overpowering. There were multiple employees, so the line was fast. They also let you sample the flavors.
This is a cool spot! First time I am seeing so many different unique flavors not just for the ice cream but the ice cream cones as well. The carrot cake ice cream was great. Not a 5-star due to the grumpy staff member and for him adding barely any chocolate sauce to the sundae.
Went here after a rock climbing date because you know after a long, grueling day of climbing some really tough plastic rock holds, it's only natural that you get yourself a sweet treat. This location came recommended from a few friends and decided to give it a try since it was nearby. Spoiler alert. It was delicious. So first off location is in POST Houston, which is where all the cool cubicles looking businesses set up their shops so already vibes are off the chart. There's plenty of seating, the room itself is relatively spacious, and the atmosphere of so many different people have different conversations honestly adds to the vibes. Flower and Cream is an artisanal ice cream shop. And even before tasting the ice cream the FACT that they have a limited menu with certain ingredients being seasonal was such a pleasant thing to experience. For one, a simple menu to me reflects a higher quality of ingredients for that limited selection, and two helps me make a decision wayyyy quicker. No analysis paralysis for me today. I went with the Raspberry Tres Leche, and my date went with the Brown Butter Pecan. Now the taste....it was fantastic what did you think I was gonna say?! Tres Leche base was milky (x3) and creamy, and the little bits of sponge cake, and swirls of raspberry oh my dear it was BUSSIN. The Brown Butter Pecan one too was such a nice flavor profile too with not just that sweet/buttery taste you expect but a little hint of that caramel/nuttiness flavor that's only enhanced by the pecans. Prices were average as well, nothing to cheer for but certainly nothing to jeer at and staff was friendly and patient. At the end of the day, if you're in POST, craving a little hint of something sweet, and you're a fan of trying some more unique combinations of really good ice cream. You'll have to give Flower and Cream a try!
I'm not even an ice cream person but I was visiting the post for fifa try outs so I wanted to give them a try. I ordered the Oreo cereal milk on a waffle cone and omg 10/10! Service was fast and it wasn't too busy for a weekend.

I stopped by with a couple friends after a hangout and it was the perfect nightcap! I stepped out of my comfort zone and got the cinnamon brown sugar cone (this may be the incorrect name) with the birthday cake ice cream. Strange combo, right? But it paired soooo well! This is my second time here and it was still so good.
A wonderful variety of ice cream flavors and cone flavors! I can't wait to go back! I got a scoop of the cookie butter in a funfetti cone and it was one of the best desserts I've had. So good!! Yum!!

The place is filled with youngins and given the weather as of late (#2), so the appeal is warranted and they're one of the only dessert options in the building. I don't know of an ice creamery that boasts more cone flavors than they do. They have a myriad of choices that would rival most ice cream flavor, such as pink vanilla, cinnamon brown sugar, orange creamsicle, dark chocolate, and salted blue corn. I think the matcha cones goes well with just about any of the flavors followed very closely by birthday cake. The cones can get messy with how quickly the ice cream melts, so I tend to go for cups. Speaking of ice cream, I'm really enjoying their honey roasted strawberry and the unicorn tracks. Folks are devout with the cereal milk oreo and rainbow cake, which I think are very suitable for the youngins who have a palate for sweets. When in doubt, the honey rose and chocolate brownie are ideal choices, but still stray from classic flavor profiles. They also have vegan options. The prices range from $5-9 from one to two scoops. Like any ice cream shop, it's important to sample everything. If you can't make up your mind but love ice cream, I would recommend getting a flight with six flavors and enjoying that with a group of dessert goers. They don't accept cash. It's card or nothing here. The service is usually made up of young folks who are fairly good about keeping the line slim and manageable. I got the honey roasted strawberry ice cream which was sooo good! It had the strawberry flavor I was looking for, which is a nostalgic taste that I remember from getting ice cream when I was younger. It wasn't too sweet and the texture was nice and creamy. It was kind of expensive and for some reason it automatically tipped $2.00 even though I intentionally pressed "no tip"... Anyway, overall good and would come again!
It was good. I wouldn't kick it out of bed. But as I remember, nothing spectacular.... Staff was friendly. No cash. All card. It's the Post.... All WNL
LOCATION: Hawker Street Food Bar is located within the POST Market which is an indoor food hall in downtown Houston with ~20 vendors offering both local and international options. Beyond food, there are a few cute shops to browse and an amazing rooftop park that you can explore as well. On top of all that, they also have a gorgeous spiral staircase that's great for photos. PARKING: There is paid parking available at the POST. It's pretty high tech as their gates automatically recognize your car's license plate upon entry and it calculates your parking fees upon exit based on time. For M-Th: 0-75 min is free, $5/hr afterwards. For F-Sun: 0-30 min is free, $5/hr afterwards. You can either pay online or when your vehicle exists the gate. MY ORDER: [-] Cereal Milk Oreo from Flower and Cream ($5.75) - Cereal milk base with Oreos. Good consistency and a standard classic flavor.
I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream! Location: inside Post htx Staff: friendly and nice Price: high yet very tasty that you will buy again I opted for the vegan chocolate with lavender cone. Chocolate was smooth with kick of chocolate chunks. Lavender cone was also smooth but had the lavender kick as well as it looked really pretty. As well as they have a pretty cool instagram sign that moves as you add them.
Every time I try to give up my sweet tooth, I come back to you. Flower & Cream is hands down the BEST vegan ice cream I've ever had. Period. The consistency, the creaminess, and the sweetness (but not overly sweet) are unmatched. And to top it off, with the exception of the waffle cone, ALL THE CONES ARE VEGAN!! You can't find that anywhere else. It's a MUST try.

My friend recommended me to try this place out and to sample some of the flavors! I ended up trying the raspberry tres leches and fell in love with it, so I had to get a scoop of that. Apparently this place is vegan as well, which is always a plus :) They also have flavored cones which are like $8 a pop, but I figured since I was on the go to just get this in a cup. Overall the flavors are really nice and I like the layout of this place at the POST! Plenty of different topping options as well. Check it out if you're in the area! read more
Flower and Cream was our dessert stop tonight. It is located in a busy food court, not an easy location with parking and noisy crowds wondering about. Samples were allowed and they do have a large variety of flavored waffle cones that looked impressive. The staff was more than accommodating as the mob tried to pick a flavor. We ordered the roasted strawberry and the vegan mango. The strawberry had a good taste with a roasted flavor and creamy mix. I felt like the strawberry flavor was weak and could of had more intensity. The vegan mango was flavor packed with cookie crumbled pieces. It was delicious. The ice cream was good but not memorable. We only order small scoops and did not give the flavored cones a chance. I was not a fan of the location, the noisy crowds and the large group of self absorbed patrons. read more
The shop is inside a very trending shopping/food complex and it will be tricky to find if you combine a few brain cells together. Once you arrive, you will quickly notice that the shop is the center of all attention. The variety of colors and flavors is a definite attraction and the workers do not shy away from letting you sample their stock. Please don't take advantage of trying out tons of flavors as this can quickly hold back the lines. We got the Honey rose flavor, and it tasted as advertised. The ice cream was perfectly churned and not melting rapidly in the hot Houston weather as we anticipated. Overall great experience at a very affordable price. read more

Ice cream was great consistency, great flavor and true to description. Everything is called home spun I think and it is good stuff. Folks serving ice cream really helpful and nice! Absolutely love this place and the vegan ice cream options ! Every time I am in Houston it is a must stop! I always get the chocolate cookie in a matcha cone! Service is quick and straightforward and everything is clean. Having it at Post is unique as well, you have the option of enjoying your sweet treat on the roof with a great view of downtown. read more

I enjoyed Flower & Cream located inside of the POST food hall. I haven't enjoyed ice cream in a while and this place came highly rated. I was told some of the flavors have the essence of real flowers. While in line a few employees from POST shared some of their favorites. I decided on the Biscotti on a midnight vanilla cone. The cone is black, so just an FYI that they use a lot of food coloring to make the cone that dark black color. Do not be alarmed the next morning. It takes a while for this to pass. The biscotti reminded me of Trader Joe's Cookie butter but blended with iced cream. Really smooth and flavorful. I enjoyed this place. read more

I tried a few samples before settling on one flavor. I had the honey roasted strawberry and added a topping of chopped pecans. A scoop of ice cream is just enough. A bit pricey for a cup. I wish they would've mixed the pecans in like Cold Stone. The ice cream itself was sweeter than the taste test I got. On a larger scale, it was more honey-forward than strawberry, which I didn't like much. I should've gotten the brown butter pecan instead, but the pecans tasted a bit old. I like how they have flavored waffle cones, but I didn't try it this time around. It was so hot that day that I opted for a cup to catch the melting ice cream cause I knew we were going to the rooftop to see the views. Service was fairly quick and easy. Okay, so we were in POST and wanted some ice cream. The staff were friendly and attentive. They allow you to try samples before actually getting some ice cream. We got 2 scoops of ice cream. We ordered the Biscoff Cookie Butter and Cookies and Cream. Both were really good. Biscoff over time was too sweet for us, and the cookies/cream came with LOTS of oreos! Yum! I will say, I don't think I'd go back cause the ice cream for 2 scoops is kinda expensive. I didn't think it was that wroth it. read more

We visited the location at The Post off Franklin. I'm OBSESSED with the different cone flavors. We got the Orange creamsicle cone with unicorn tracks (cotton candy ice cream with lucky charms mixed in) and a scoop of raspberry tres leches which transformed my life. We also got the dark chcolate cone, with choclate brownie ice cream and oreos and milk a wet dream for chcolate lovers. Service was great I came rolling in with 3 kids and the ice cream scoopers were super patient while my kids asked to try every flavor. Location is a vibe in itself, such cool architecture in the building and so many photo worthy spots. We took our cones to the sky lawn and enjoyed the skyline. read more

I went to this ice cream spot inside POST, and I loved it. I got the biscoff cookie flavor and some raspberry flavor I think and the pink cone. Both flavors were yummy, and I was able to sample them before choosing. While the cone is pink, it tastes like a regular cone. Prices are fair for an ice cream cone. Parking is free for about 75 minutes. After that, you have to pay. There are also lots of other food options inside POST. Highly recommend. 10/10 read more

Located inside POST next to the spiral staircase. Their flavor selection is very unique, but beware that it's pretty pricey (as pretty much everything is inside POST). My favorite is the cookie butter ice cream! read more

I've been wanting to try Flowers & Cream (other location) so when I saw it at Post, I figured I'd give it a try. One scoop is $5.95 after tax while half/half is $7.03. I sampled their raspberry tres leches and was not impressed. I got the toffee while my friend got the biscoff. While my ice cream was good initially, it gradually became dull and not as rich as I wanted. The cake pieces also weren't the best texture in my opinion. While the staff were friendly, I wish they had communicated to me that half/half scoop was $1 more when I had asked (I had to correct my order at the register as they were preparing my order). Also, my friend's scoop was significantly bigger than mine so I wish there was less discrepancy, especially given its price. I've had better ice cream at a better price point. read more

I have had a lot of icecream across the country and this place redefined what icecream is. There icecream is silky smooth and super flavorful! I have the banana Nutella and my life changes forever. Not trying to be dramatic but it honestly is that good. Had one scoop and it was a good size scoop. I enjoyed it with one of their waffle cones and it was a delicous afternoon treat! Highly recommend this place for a sweet treat or dessert! read more

Atmosphere: Flower and Cream is a colorful ice cream stand located in the heart of POST. They have their different ice cream and cone flavors out on display. Service: Our server was friendly and helped us sample some flavors. They gave us a decently sized scoop that was filling! Food: After sampling the Raspberry Tres Leches and Honey Roasted Strawberry, we decided to order a scoop of the Honey Roasted Strawberry in a Matcha Cone because we wanted to recreate the flavors of a Strawberry Matcha Latte. Visually, our cone was lovely and we enjoyed it on the POST Skylawn! We liked that the ice cream had a light strawberry flavor and a hint of honey at the end. The Matcha Cone had a much more subdued matcha flavor that we could only taste if we really tried to make it out. We wished that the matcha flavor would have been stronger, especially since it was an additional $1.25 for their specialty cone. Overall: We think Flower and Cream is a must-try stand at POST, and their ice cream is meant to be enjoyed on the Skylawn on a hot day. We appreciated how the portions were generous and filling, as well as how they offered a unique selection of flavors. read more
