My colleagues and I found ourselves at Flower Karaoke for an after party following a sendoff for our boss. Now, I'm no singer and am admittedly shy - but under the right circumstances and alcoholic beverage then sure I'll get up and croak out a tune. There were around 15 and we luckily able to secure a room promptly upon arrival. The setup is very nice - while you hear sounds from each karaoke room in the hallways once you're in a room you really can't hear anything. Even if I was able to - the music is pretty loud when you're singing so it drowns it out. Our room had seats lining a good portion of the perimeter and multiple screens on the walls which showed images and lyrics when a song was playing. They had a really good selection of tunes with a good mix of English, Korean, and Japanese songs (pretty up to date as well). Song selection was pretty easy, and the combination of screen images and strobe lights while performing really added to the effect. Plus, mics were wireless which allowed us to walk the room and easily pass them around while singing. My rendition of Africa by Toto was delivered seamlessly ;-) They serve a small selection of snacks as well as soju and soft drinks, though you're allowed to bring food from outside as well which was a nice touch. Service was prompt and the staff was always readily available to take orders and clear plates. While this is really the first karaoke spot I've been to, I thought that Flower did a great job and if I was ever in Queens again for karaoke I would definitely come back. read more

Management is horrible and I will never return. If you belive tip is for those who do deserve it and were respectful, DO NOT come here. The blonde fried hair guy with a scrawny face is the manager and honestly the worst person in a semi-service job I've seen. He makes the overall experience so much worse even after we have had our fun in kareoke. Asked us for a tip when we didn't buy anything at all. I visited flower karaoke last night to celebrate my cousin birthday. The blonde guy at the counter is the most rudest person I've ever met.He was trying to bill our party double until one of my other cousin summed up everything and summed up half of what he was trying to charge. Came here at 2AM on saturday night (technically sunday lol) and it was a fun time. They charge $50 an hour and have great snacks/drinks. The apple soju is so yummy, we had 4 bottles. The rooms are big, clean, and super private. There are disco lights inside and you can ask for an english remote control. It was fun and i would highly recommend this place! read more

I like this place the best out of all the other karaokes I've been to. Very polite staff members, always giving good service and has a relatively updated song list. They also have flavored sojus which I highly recommend lol [if you can't muster up the courage to sing in front of people, maybe this will help ‍]. Love this spot so much! It can be a little confusing if you aren't Asian, which I'm not but I asked for help. The staff here is really friendly and they are 100% about making your time there a fun one. I really like the idea of having your own little karaoke party, without embarrassing yourself in front of strangers. The price is expensive if you go with a small group, so it's good to go with a few people to split the cost. The song selections are really good, although need to be a little more eclectic. im not typically one to complain but they force you to pay a tip without explaining the reason. they are also very rude and threaten violence if you dont write an amount for the tip on the receipt or refuse to give a tip. i wouldnt have minded paying it but they were extremely hostile and gave us no real reason to tip!! read more

My party of six had a great time at this karaoke joint. It's a little out of the way for people in the city, but most of us live in Queens anyway, so it wasn't that inconvenient. The entrance was a bit hidden though, since you can't enter through the store front facade that's in between these other two stores. You have to walk through the parking lot to enter. This place had opened recently and the interior definitely looked like it. When you walk in, you're surrounded by sleek wooden walls that lead you to the bar/reception and then to the right are the restrooms and all the rooms. The room we got was very spacious for six. The karaoke system they have is pretty similar to those that they use in South Korea. There was a main gigantic television and two mini televisions that aired the same thing as the main one. This made it easier if you wanted to sing to the group without having your back face them. There were also strobe lights in the room, which pulsed to the rhythm of the music. The lights were a nice touch and enhanced our experience. While we were there, there were no problems at all, not even the technical ones that we usually encounter like too much feedback on the mics. Their songs were pretty updated. They provide you with a book, in which you can look up songs by title or author or country of origin. However, in the back of the book are also recently added songs. They have English, Korean and Japanese songs, but it seemed like the emphasis was on English and Korean songs. If you can read Korean, you can also search for songs from the remote by title or author. If you can't read Korean, you can also ask the people at the front desk. Their rates are pretty reasonable. For any party, base rate is 30 dollars for three people and then an additional 5 dollars for every additional person. They did not press for tip, but had a giant tip box in the front for it. According to my friend, there was a bowl of Korean candy, but I missed it so I didn't get any, but be sure to check that out as well. Long story short: Affordable place with high-quality systems, updated songs and great touch with the lights. Two thumbs up! read more

I'm from CA and was visiting NY and a friend took me here! I had SOOOO much FUNNNNNN! This place is SUPER clean again smoking is allowed inside the rooms so...people smoke... :( Price is really reasonable also! The only thing was as we were leaving I guess some young kids got in to a fight (I guess kids are as immature on the east coast as they are on the west)...so one kid was bloody...I swore it was because I sang Tupac's Life Goes On and disrupted the East Coast vs West Coast gangsta gangsta fighting-ness! Normally, I'd try to fix this, but we really didn't have much time to spend, so we went with it. Great Karaoke spot! For 10 people the room was spacious and there was an area for us to dance. We came in around 3pm and stayed for 3 hours and it was $165. I think it was was a great value and worth it. They had a pretty great selection of English songs and a few Spanish songs. There was something for everyone. read more

Came here on my birthday and the venue seems a bit nicer than some of the other NRB/karaoke places in the area. We ended up spending a pretty hefty amount here and ended up getting a small gift card (better than nothing) but when you add in drinking, NRB is almost never cheap. I think I've brought at least a few dozen people to this place since and as long as there is no major hiccup, I will likely bring more. We wandered in around 5 or 6PM on a Saturday evening, well before the karaoke crowd which meant we were able to take advantage of happy hour deals (hooray!). The room we got for 7 was very spacious and had beautiful leather seats--one of the nicest karaoke rooms I've ever been in, honestly. We also received complimentary cans of Milkis and bottled water. The only downside was that we struggled to operate the controls as no one in our party could read Korean, but the host was more than happy to help us out and it didn't take too long for us to get singing. read more

Facilities are clean and music selection is good. You get lots of older men and women who also love to sing take up a lot of the rooms, so sometimes it's good to call ahead to find out if there are rooms available. While I've only been to a handful of karaoke places in the Flushing area, this one here has caused me to stop bouncing around. It's the best hands down. Me and a group of friends recently went again, were there for about 3 and a half hours with drinks ordered etc. The final total? $260. That's a steal. Now while I'm not 100% sure what the rates are exactly (the bill was partially done in Korean) we've never left without remarking to ourselves how ridiculously affordable the place is. Parking lot for those driving. The interior is really beautiful inside, the song selection is huge (multiple languages) with newer songs being included as well, and the staff is always friendly. My BF and I usually go to Christmas karaoke, , but stop going after they gave us the oldest room and we are regulars. stumble across Flowers! and I loved that all there rooms were clean, karaoke system were up to date too! If you can read Korean the remote is a quicker route to find songs. it is a bit pricey but for the cleanliness and good karaoke system if well worth it! now here's the catch: there is only bottle service, there's no such thing as an individual drinks/shots. YOU HAVE TO BUY A BOTTLE OF SNYTHING, soju, pitcher of beer, or whiskey or vodka bottles. that's probably where people say its expensive here. normally there is a wait but it usually does not bother since I can go right over to Prince to grab a drink until its time for my room. read more

This place! Talk about some sweet service. Came in with a group of friends after some korean bbq nearby. It has private parking in the back, which is rare in these parts so that's definitely a plus. It's 30 bucks for for 4/hour, 5 for each extra person. Song selection book is pretty thorough, has a good mix of English and Korean songs, and three tvs in each room so everyone can look somewhere. The night started out calm...sang some required backstreet boys/k-pop/old school rap...and then the 3 bottles of soju/tons of beer we ordered came. On top of that, we got TEN free beers. TEN. Suffice it to say, I have no idea what happened the rest of the night. I recall singing some Beatles, eating some shrimp crackers they provided to try to sober up, and then somehow waking up the next morning in my home with the gnarliest hang over. so BE CAREFUL IF YOU COME HERE! friends don't let friends sing drunk! read more

They gave us free snacks/drinks when we ordered drinks for the room. The only con I can think of is it seems like you can only order bottles of liquor rather than individual drinks. This place is amazing! And best of all, they have a parking lot which really helps esp in the location they are in. On a Fri after work (approx 3:30pm) me and my coworkers headed here for my birthday. The place is clean. SUPER clean. So none of us felt the need to worry about anything in here which is a huge plus. Be sure you reserve if you plan to bring a large group and they require a deposit. You walk in and it's very... zen-like I giess you can say. Smells nice when you walk in. There were replica tree stumps on the side and I think it was a water/fountain-like display along the wall. Very pretty. We got room 11, the biggest room to accommodate all of us. They even have a few small little cushioned seats for any extra ppl that can't for on the couch. So a good 20 can fit comfortably. The TV is huge. Like 90 inches or so and there are smaller tv's on each wall so you don't have to turn your head to read the lyrics. The staff was beyond great. My friends andI brought in food, drinks, even a cooler with a huge bag of ice!!! They had no problem. However, I did tell then ahead of time so be sure to do this. Just to be safe. The song list is huge. They had songs as far back as the 50's as as current as up to a yr ago. We pretty much were able to find every song we searched for. They even had a very small selection of other songs from other countries like Russian, Filipino, Thai, and Latin. Only a couple of pages but it was very interesting. They have music and mic volume control which is really cool! We had it on super loud but we didn't care! We were having a blast!!! The rooms aren't sound proof so the poor staff heard everyone sing terribly haha. We didn't know about this till it was time to pay. There are light effects everywhere to get you pumped up which really makes the night even more enjoyable. Also, which I found very convenient, was a portable AC in the room. It can get a bit warm if you really get into the singing and dance around otherwise we were very comfortable with the setting it was already on. But it was cool seeing that there. After 4 hrs of drinks and terrible singing, we had to go. The minimum stay is 4 hrs and after it will cost you $80 per hr afterwards. We decided 4 hours was enough and cleaned up. It took us 30 minutes to clean up but they knew we were wrapping up at 7 so we didn't get charged for that extra 30 mins. 15 people. 4 hours $280. Come on. You can't beat that. That's basically $18 a person for 4 hrs. You can't find that anywhere else in Queens. They even helped clean up even though there were so many of us. Really nice of them to do that. EVERYONE agreed that not only was karaoke fun, but this place esp was great. Very convenient to everything, close by to everyone, parking lot, the music was up to date... everything was just great. We were given complimentary water, soda, and snacks. Ordering was easy and the service was fast and friendly. No one in our party can speak or read Korean, but we still managed to to figure out the controls. The American selection was much smaller than the rest, however it was still pretty extensive for us.
