The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and it seemed like a nice family run business. There is limited street parking unless I missed a parking lot in the area. They have quilts using their products on display, they have "row" projects and license plate kits... so much! The store even has a self quilting machine.. and it's amazing! You can pick a design and there is a laser pointer pattern you can follow to quilt your design. Located on Route 66, they have plenty of "Route 66" and western themed fabrics. The dinosaurs are huge but then so are the piles upon piles of petrified wood and other rocks surrounding the building. I believe my husband was grateful they were closed, he seemed to relax a bit more as we strolled around the perimeter!! I definitely would have loved to get my hands on some of the fine specimens they had just laying in the dirt! Everywhere we looked it said they were open the afternoon we drove through town but unfortunately it was all locked up and no sign of anybody around. Since we found it on Roadside Attractions, we treated it as such and just enjoyed the unique dinosaurs and a chance to stretch our legs! I was just curious on where they get all of their petrified wood, etc. and he told me I asked too many questions and then started to grill me on rocks and the origin of petrified wood??!! Really weird customer service. While my wife was shopping inside he followed me outside - he said he didn't trust me. Like I was going to shoplift a 100 pound rock... Half the time when you go shopping for "formal event DJ's" you get some kid with a mohawk and pawn shop turntables with a name like "DJ Skeet Skeet" who gives Grandma Agnes a stroke at the reception. These guys actually meet with you to make sure that on the day of your event, all they have to do is show up and everything is JUST like you imagined it, because you told them ahead of time exactly what you wanted and they LISTENED. Besides all that, the cost of these guys coming out and doing everything perfectly is about as much as hiring DJ Skeet Skeet. I guess they were also listening when they heard if you lower your prices and go the extra mile you will actually get more business.
