From the beginning, working with her felt like working with a friend (which was such a cute bonus since we found out she actually knows my husband from the coffee industry!). She was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented. Scheduling multiple meetings, responding quickly to every text and question, and walking us through her creative process step by step. I loved getting to see photos the week of our wedding as she picked up the blooms and began styling everything. You could feel how much care she poured into her work. And then the wedding day came... and I truly had no words. She knocked it out of the park. I wanted to cry because it was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. Despite our wedding venue already being such a naturally beautiful venue that can stand on its own, the florals completely transformed the space and brought my vision to life in the most breathtaking way. I loved her work so much that I had my wedding bouquet preserved and pressed into a large frame that now hangs in our home, a pendant necklace that I wear, a ring dish for my wedding rings, and an ornament for our Christmas tree each year. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. Meghan did an amazing job on the pergola, but everything else fell so far from expectation. This was by far the worst vendor at my wedding. Here's the short list of what went wrong: - I paid $185 for white and pink petals to line the walkway. Meghan provided dead flower petals for 4 rows and left the remainder of the walkway empty. See pictures. - We agreed that my bouquet, which cost $165, would be "bone, beige, pale blush and light pink." Instead, it ended up including light orange and purple. See picture. And is this bouquet really worth $165? - I paid $45 to have fresh flowers decorating my cake. Her words were "big cascade front center." My cake was left completely empty. Not a single flower decorated the cake, and my cake was ready at the venue before Meghan showed up to deliver her flowers. - I paid $65 to have memorial flowers consisting of "white lilies and roses" on my dad's empty chair. Meghan provided 4 white roses. See picture. Where are the lilies? Does each rose flower really cost $17? Also, Meghan's policy also is that you cannot reduce any price from what is contracted at any time. Given that we had two fewer tables than what we had anticipated from one year prior to the wedding, we paid Meghan an extra $190. In exchange, we asked her to provide flower petals for our flower girls. *NONE WERE GIVEN.* We had resort to plucking flower petals from the bushes so that there would be something for the flower girls to use. To add insult to injury, Meghan's policy is that no one can bring flowers or leaves of any sort on your own, so we trusted her. Save your money, use a different vendor, and buy your own flower petals. I've never been so disappointed. read more

When I say I was OBSESSED with my wedding flowers- it is all thanks to Meghan! She was one of the first vendors I booked after booking our venue. I could already tell I loved her style from her instagram. We had an initial meeting to go over the style, vibe, and colors. I don't know much about types of flowers but she immediately had ideas flowing when I described the look I was going for. She somehow was able to keep our flowers bright and "spring wedding" appropriate while also making them moody and adding in pops of dark which I loved. She was also so great at communicating as the date came closer- making sure we were still on the same page and she had our accurate table numbers and florals for the wedding party, etc. Flowers for your wedding are SO important because they are integrated into so much of the decor. I can't say enough great things about Meghan with Flowers By Mae Mae. I found her via yelp and realized that she had done flowers for my some of my friends' weddings. That and she was local too so that was definitely a plus. I had a vague vision of what I wanted, told her my color scheme and the look I was targeting and let her do the rest. Meghan has this vision, a vision that I definitely don't have. I only know two things about flowers, and that's whether they're pretty or ugly. That being said, I needed an expert to give me some beautiful blooms for my big day. She takes your ideas, provides her input and makes it all come to life. She is very responsive, accommodating and reasonably priced. Throughout our floral planning, well, moreso towards the 11th hour, I had to add extra requests here and there, and she took them without issues or dispute. She breaks down the cost very well also and checks in with you periodically to ensure nothing has changed about your order. At no point did I ever feel neglected or concerned that her creation would be anything short of amazing. I had little details in addition to my centerpieces that weren't flower related and she took on that responsibility too without hesitation. On the day itself, she arrived early to set up. I was disappointed she wasn't there when I arrived to the venue. As I entered the bridal suite, there they were, my bouquet and my bridesmaids' - distinct, boldly colored and unequivocally gorgeous. Mine was put together even better than what I had dreamed. And I'm a pretty vivid dreamer so that's saying a lot. I was blown away by how my flowers turned out. Much to my surprise, after our first look, Meghan had come back to see me and took a snap of me. I felt like I had to hug her a million times (but I totally lagged arriving so I was already late for photos). When I finally saw my flowers at my ceremony site and the theater (reception hall) and how they were just so intricately placed in the right places, and how she placed my design "add ons", I was in such awe that I for once, was without words. Today, I still have no inkling about flower arrangements, but now I at least can formulate three opinions: ugly, pretty and stunning which certainly describes what Meghan did for me. read more

Flawless customer experience! Ordered flowers for Mother's Day WAY too late (quarantine, amiright? you lose track of the date completely) and she was able to accommodate. Not only did she work me in, she did so with a cheerful attitude over the phone, amidst what I am sure has been a whirlwind season for her. Because it was so last minute and because the price was so reasonable, I admit I half expected a cookie cutter bouquet with mostly daisies, carnations, or alstroemeria. I messaged the owner on Instagram and spent close to an hour getting quotes from her. She scheduled a phone consultation with me for the next day at noon. She never called me and messaged me hours later saying that she will talk to me the next day. She called me the next day and spoke for about an hour. She told me that the contract would not allow me to use any flowers that are not from her. So no DIY or flowers from my event planner. I contacted my two venodrs and cancelled my flowers with them. She told me that she would send me an invoice before the end of the business day. I waited all evening and never heard back from her. I messaged her on Instagram at night. She immediately read the message but didn't respond to them. My fiance told me to wait so I did. I messaged her this morning and she told me that she just got booked by another bride. I told her that I was upset since she just waisted so much of my time. When we first chatted, the first thing she asked me was for my wedding date and I asked her to give me quotes IF she was available. She should have disclosed that she already sent another bride a quote rather than "lead me on" for days. Now I have to start all over and find another florist for my wedding. I have a gut feeling that she lied about being booked because I wasn't planning on spending a TON of money on my wedding flowers.
