They came up as a local florist, although I don't think they are actually local--I believe they are a third-party service that coordinates with local florists. My daughter attends university nearly 400 miles from home in a smaller town, where flower delivery can be surprisingly expensive. Flowers by Nora offered a reasonable price, so I placed an order for Valentine's Day. Afterward, I saw some of the negative reviews and started worrying that I might have made a mistake. WORST online flower experience. I felt like I was being scammed. First red flag was when I didn't get an email confirmation. This company was quick to take my money out of my account though. Second red flag delivery was scheduled for next day but got there 4 days late. I tried contacting them and I kept getting someone named 'V' she kept saying my order doesn't exist or was not found. 3 days later 'V' called saying the delivery was on the way and she would send me delivery confirmation. This was another lie. I never received a confirmation or any communication. On the day of delivery the recipient received the wrong flowers and more then half of the flowers were DEAD. When I sent 'V' a picture, she said the flowers get 'wilted' sometimes. No apology or sympathy. She then tried to offer me a 50% discount. I said absolutely not and demanded a refund. She said I had to talk to the 'finance dept' and request it with them. Once I was transferred, it was on hold while they contacted the local florist handlers they asked her to tell me to take 50% off again but I refused. Finance dept finally agreed and I held them on the phone until I received an email confirmation. I chose Flowers by Nora because they had a better selection of arrangements than some other florists and I was looking for something more special than a traditional arrangement that many other florists offer. I called to place my order and was very specific and what was sent did not look anything at all like the arrangement I ordered. In fact, the arrangement sent was very plain and unattractive. I was embarrassed that this was what my friend received. I asked if they could replace the order and send an arrangement close to what I ordered and what was pictured on their website. I found on line for next day funeral. I am out of state. Put in zio code of church and funeral home in Jamaica, NY. Flowers by Nora popped up. I chose the Peaceful white garden and upgraded to Premium $89.00 (before fees). I even called them to make sure they knew viewing time at funeral home (for delivery) vs funeral service at church. They informed me no problem would be there well before 4 p.m. next day. The bereaved family sent a picture and a thank you for remembering. The flowers were sent in behalf of my late sister as this was her best friend's family. The pictures say it all...what I ordered vs what was sent. To make matters worse when I called to complain about a total different bunch of ragtag flowers they proceeded to hide behind their policy of being able to make substitutions as to flowers, containers, and arrangements. I have NEVER had a florist make these changes without contacting the customer for approval. Nothing they put together (not arranged) remotely resembles the item I selected. I told them I would do both Goggle & YELP reviews, as well as notify American Express and file a complaint on the charge. They wrote me back that after careful consideration a $30 rebate would be sent to my method of payment. I am heartbroken this was displayed at a funeral and they should be ashamed. The entire point was to let her know I was thinking about her on her special day. Instead, I received an email late that evening saying they couldn't fulfill the order due to "supply issues" and had already processed a refund. Running out of flowers isn't what I'm upset about. Businesses have problems. The issue is that no one contacted me until it was too late for me to do anything about it. A simple phone call that morning would have made all the difference. I could have ordered from another florist, asked them to deliver just the balloons, accepted a substitute arrangement, or at the very least called my daughter to let her know I hadn't forgotten her birthday. Three weeks before Mother's Day, my daughter ordered a $90 floral arrangement from Flowers By Nora for delivery. The first photo shows what was advertised online, and the second photo shows what we actually received. The arrangement delivered was about one-third the size of what was pictured and honestly looked nothing like what was ordered. To make matters worse, it was delivered the day before Mother's Day instead of on the actual holiday. When we contacted the company, they did nothing to make it right. So I placed the Order # N-3142-790494-5643 on July 9, 2026 for delivery on the same day. I had paid $93.88. The bouquet was delivered on the same day as promised. But, after the delivery made, I find out that the amount of flowers in the vase was much lower than what the photo had shown on the website and even the Vase was a bit smaller! When I complained, I was refunded $20.00. And, I was OK with it. But then next day the flowers started WILTING! I complained again and asked for a replacement or full credit per its own published RETURN Policy but I was refused. Here is a copy of its policy statement: "Refunds & Replacements We offer refunds or replacements for products that arrive damaged or do not meet quality expectations. To request a refund or replacement, please provide your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and, if possible, photographs of the product." I clearly entered the time period during which the flowers were available to be delivered, as well as the scheduled time of the funeral service. The florist had approximately 2.5 hours prior to the start of the service in which to deliver the arrangement. Despite having advance notice of the funeral and the delivery instructions I provided, the arrangement was delivered while the service was in progress. This was not a routine delivery. The flowers were specifically ordered for a funeral, where timing is particularly important. Delivering the arrangement after the service had already begun substantially defeated the purpose of the order and did not meet the delivery instructions I provided. I paid approximately $168 total, including the cost of delivery, taxes, and a $19 service fee. I believe a full refund is appropriate because the delivery service I paid for was not successfully provided. I am requesting a full refund of the $168 charged to me due to the failed and untimely delivery. The flowers my friend received are not anything close to the "Violets" arrangement pictured online that I spent around $100 to order. The product I chose specifies only one flower (Violets) -which I intentionally chose because they are pet safe and my friend has a cat at home. What they chose to substitute it with is a flower that's VERY toxic to pets, not even purple and looks much cheaper. This is after I had already spoken to them on the phone for about 15 minutes regarding needing a cat safe flower arrangement. (The person on the phone also at one point suggested baby's breath, which is also toxic to cats. This is such atrocious customer service).
