Ordered flowers from a supposed shop local in Merced, CA. They are not local. Their website will say local to whatever area you are in. They took my order, offered a $200 flat rate for what I wanted. I even called after placing the order to ensure it would be able to be delivered on time for the funeral services and was assured by customer service that would be no problem. I had also noted delivery time in the special instructions. I even offered to pay more to ensure delivery on time. Imagine my shock when the flowers never arrived for the service. They weren't even there by the time the funeral was over and everyone had left the church. I tried to call customer service 5 times, three of which were disconnected calls. The last call I had, I spoke with Yen. She advised she would be submitting the issue for an "investigation" to find out, in her words, "What really happened." One does not need to be a customer service expert to know that is a poor choice of words as it makes the customer seem like her story is somehow untruthful. I also asked for an email confirmation that the investigation request had been submitted, which Yen said would be sent. Unsurprisingly, no email confirmation was received to confirm any investigation is underway. I asked to speak to a manager, she said none was in that day. I asked for the manager's contact info, she would not provide. Losing a loved one is hard enough. It has been an unbelievably painful time. However, they are a florist. They are in the business of delivering flowers, I'm sure very often for funerals. The fact that I spent over $200 and even called to ensure my order would be delivered timely and was told yes absolutely, makes this even worse. I see no reason why an "investigation" needs to occur or why it would take 24-48 hours. The fact is that I placed an order and paid a large sum for a product and a service. And I didn't get what I paid for. I didn't even get an apology or refund. Why there needs to be anything more than my report of not having recieved the flowers is mind boggling. I asked for a full refund immediately. I did not receive. I did not want to hear anything else, especially if it would just be to advise that the delivery team did deliver the flowers because frankly, if that was the case (which it wasn't), it would have been after the funeral was over and the church was empty of family and friends who had attended the service. This defeats the purpose. My cousins didn't get to see the flowers that were supposed to be a tribute from us. My mother and aunt and uncle didn't get to see. And most importantly, my grandpa, who just lost his wife of over 65 years, didn't get to see the tribute I had sent. Because this business failed. I still expect a refund in full. I still haven't received. And to be clear, this "investigation" that they said must happen before any decision could be made on the refund was supposed to be completed within 48 hours. I submitted the dispute formally on May 30th. As of June 7th, no response. When I followed up again, I was told "management is looking into it." I'm appalled at this. Do NOT order from Flowers by Nora (Fort Pierce, FL Area). This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I placed an order to send flowers to a friend who needed a pick-me-up. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't take the time to read the many negative reviews beforehand. I wish I had--they would have saved me both time and money. Throughout the day, I called four separate times asking for a delivery update. Each time I was told they were trying to contact the driver and that I would receive an email once the flowers had been delivered. When I finally received that email, the problems only got worse. The delivery photo did not match the arrangement I had ordered, and it appeared the flowers had been delivered to the wrong location--a private residence instead of the business address I had clearly provided on my order. By my fourth call, it was already the end of the business day. I repeatedly asked them to cancel the order because there was no longer any point in making the delivery, and I had completely lost confidence in the company. They refused to cancel it, insisted it had been delivered, yet could not provide any proof that it had reached the intended recipient. Their solution? They suggested I contact the recipient and ask whether they had received the flowers. That is completely unacceptable. As the paying customer, I should not have to investigate whether a company fulfilled the service I purchased. To make matters worse, they refused to issue a refund despite their inability to demonstrate that the order was delivered correctly. I am genuinely shocked that a business can operate this way. Between the poor communication, incorrect delivery, refusal to cancel the order, and complete lack of accountability, this experience was beyond frustrating.
