I found Flowers by Richard using Yelp because it was close to where I needed flowers delivered. What a surprise when I went to the website and saw the great arrangements he has made. It just got better when I called to get 50 roses. He suggested an arrangement and small delivery fee that all came well within what I wanted to pay. Richard was very professional but humorous and a great communicator in explaining what he does and how. The beautiful bouquet was delivered early the next day and came with several 'bonuses'. The worst florist I ever encountered in my whole life. And the worst business person for that matter. Richard the owner called me in the morning to notify me about the delivery. I was nice to take his call in the morning and even joke around and made it a very nice call since it's my birthday. He told me that someone called him to deliver flowers for me and he's delivering beautiful fresh flowers. He explained all the details and stressed that the flowers are fresh over and over again. We coordinated a time for him to deliver and I asked him to deliver early since I have a birthday lunch with my friends. He said he can make it at 12pm and I said ok I will wait for him but he needs to be at my place at that time otherwise I will be late. At around 11:50am I called him to check where he was and to my surprise he was still in his shop and told me he's on his way! I called at around 12:30 and he told me he is in the area and got lost and asking the mailman for help. Lo and behold he arrived at my place at 1pm. At that time I am more than an hour late for my birthday lunch!!!!! Even then I was still nice and giggling and laughing with my friend. He came out of his car carrying a bouquet of flowers in a golden vase and the first thing I noticed was the flowers aren't fresh!!! I asked him "are these fresh?" He kept saying they are fresh over and over again as if convincing me that they are fresh! Well I am not blind and I know flowers when they are fresh! He sang a birthday song and he told me the kind of flowers in the vase and that the flowers needs to be watered very little and it will bloom beautifully. The truth is the flowers he delivered looks like 4 days old flowers. They are browning in the edges and NOT fresh at all. It seems to me that it was taken from someone else's foyer and after 4 days it was delivered to me! My friend can attest to this. The arrangement is not sophisticated enough for a birthday arrangement but rather an arrangement for a big casino foyer or a funeral arrangement. It's ridiculous. I bet he charged my fiancé a hefty amount for this wilted flowers. It's outrageous. After the delivery I went to my lunch very late. I came back home and sent an email to Richard with photos stating that the flowers aren't fresh. I asked for replacement. Not only did he not respond to my email but also he left a nasty voicemail at my fiancé phone about me that I am a "bitch", and many more name calling. We saved the voice mail. He called him 6 times. Its very unprofessional. This guy needs to be reported. After 4 days I sent him an email again with photos of the flowers to let him know that flowers didn't bloom. He again did not respond but called my fiancé again to say that he thinks I do not like the flowers and will deliver new flowers ...... after 4 days when he did not resolve it from day 1 when I complained. My fiancé did not want to talk to him again and told him to never call back. This florist is rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend any business with this florist. read more

I wanted to send the most beautiful arrangement possible to a family that is very dear to me and that are having some hard times. I called Richard at 8:00 am and he answered and asked how he could help. Richard asked good questions to figure out what was needed, then sent photos to show me the finished floral arrangement, and provided updates throughout the process including delivery confirmation. He also went above and beyond by including a special homemade baked goodie with the birthday delivery (that sounded amazing!). Old fashioned, high-touch and high quality service with a quality product are difficult to come by nowadays, but I'm so happy to know people like Richard are out there taking pride in what they do. Full disclosure I work at a florist shop in Northern Nevada so I have specific orders and expectations. I called Richard because he was the closest shop to my friend's house and left a message. He returned my call in a reasonable amount of time and was very friendly and professional. I was a little taken aback when he explained he has very little inventory but he assured me he would be able to deliver my request (sympathy arrangement with Christmas accents). When I saw the photo of the flowers I was extremely impressed with the elegance, the creative touches he added and the value for my money. He was able to take my request and go beyond what I imagined. My friend thought they were beautiful and she loved the loaf of apricot nut bread he included with the arrangement. This guy is the best. I called him on Saturday to order flowers there in Vegas, he was on the road delivering to AZ. He pulled over took my info and gave me his. He even told me he would deliver the next day which was Sunday. Sent me a picture to my email and then called me to say that the phone number I gave him to verify delivery no one answered and he didn't want just leave it on their front porch and asked for another # which I gave him and he was instructed to reroute to another address which he did and let me know. RICHARD URBAN is AMAZING!!! We were in need of flowers in the Las Vegas area for a memorial service for a family member last week. I always prefer using local florists, rather than FTD, as I get much better service as well as a higher quality of flower because no commission has to be paid by the florist to FTD. Unfortunately, I let the time slip up on me, and on the Thursday before the Friday memorial service, I contacted Richard Urban after reading his review(s). It was the most fortuitous break for me. Not only did Richard quickly return my phone call (within 30 minutes?), but he also guaranteed that he would visit the wholesaler first thing Friday morning, construct the arrangement, and deliver it to the church well before the time of the memorial service. He was in close communication with me during the whole process (i.e. Friday morning "On my way to get flowers" then 3 hours later sent pictures of the flowers he would be using, and finally letting me know he was waiting for the church to open and would send a photograph as soon as he had the arrangement in place). This gentleman was incredibly courteous and proved to be not only a talented florist, but a man of his word. Richard sent a picture of a beautiful arrangement on the easel at the church, and I received another picture of the arrangement from our cousin, expressing how beautiful the flowers were.
