We requested a large floral arrangement for our sister's memorial service. Our budget was not high and we were looking for a loose, pastel, natural arrangement that was the only big floral statement in the church. WOW!!! I placed a relatively expensive order to be delivered to my friend as a pick-me-up on a recent Friday. When my friend didn't answer their door, the delivery driver called them. My friend explained they weren't going to be home until Monday. The driver said it was no problem at all- they would have a fresh delivery for her on Tuesday. WHO DOES THAT???? Outstanding customer service! I wasn't aware that my friend was going away for the weekend or I would have sent the flowers the following week. Flowers by Steve has provided floral creations for me about 30 years and the service has always been excellent and the arrangements were always very fresh and tasteful. I remember one arrangement of lavender roses with small white flowers that was done for an office assistant and the office staff talked about it for at least a year. For my mother's funeral, after consultation with me, Steve made two arrangements of 200 white roses (each) with Queen Anne's lace and greenery so the roses were not touching each other. There was a beautiful hand-woven cover for the casket, made of intersecting ivy vines with pale pink orchids at some of the intersections. People would walk into the wake and say to me, "Steve must have done the flowers." And people still comment on them today, 20 years later. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else, ever, for a local florist. read more

Awful to work with, and I ended up canceling my order and going with Branco instead. I needed flowers for a funeral, and called to say that I would give them $350 and a list of 35 names, and they should send the flowers with the names on a card. I trusted them to spend the money the right way, and they recommended one large arrangement, although I made it clear that I did not want our flowers to be larger than others, especially those of the family. They call me back, during a busy day, with their unsolvable problem. The names won't fit on the card. I couldn't even talk, I was so blown away that they were going to waste my time with this. I give you 350 bucks, and you can't solve this problem? Can't find a bigger card? I had also left all of the names on a webpage, and the 1st woman allegedly wrote it down, but the 2nd woman couldn't find the page, and insisted that I email them the webpage name after she was completely confused by the ".HTML" ending to a webpage name. I had no faith that they would get anything else right, so I canceled the order. I called Branco, who was already doing flowers for the funeral, and they made it easy, as it should be. Branko also said one large arrangement would be a bad idea, and offered a couple of alternatives, including some type of garden. I finally told them to just use their best judgment. This place may even do decent flowers, but I also saw their yelp reviews, and they aren't good, and the Branko reviews were much better. read more

I bought my wife a dozen roses for our anniversary barely a week ago (10/6/15 @ 12:10pm). The greens and babys breath look good still (10/13/15), but the roses didn't even last a week, in fact they were looking poor before Saturday night (4 days later). Not at all a good way to spend $80... And, with no gratification from Steve & co. when I called and addressed this matter, I am very disappointed. I paid more and got a lot less both in terms of quality of the arrangement and the service. They acted as if they were doing me a big favor taking my call. After doing business with this florist for 20 years, I ordered an arrangement for a funeral and was very DISAPPOINTED and embarrassed. I ordered a "Delux" flower arrangement that showcased a lovely etched crystal vase with roses, lillies and an assortment of other flowers and greens. What was delivered was a tacky clear glass vase with 7 roses, 3 lillies and some fake fall leaves. What was even more disappointing was their unwillingness to credit the $100+ charge or make good on the order. Steve's representative (Patty) was rude and kept insisting I got what I ordered based on Steve's arrangement with the FTD organization. I had to explain to her that Steve's arrangement with FTD was not what I ordered, I ordered what they advertised. If I could give them a negative star I would. read more

I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day through FTD And they used this company. I specifically put that they for delivery to a business and there was not an attempt to deliver until 7 that night after my girlfriend had gone home. I made multiple attempts to reach out through FTD earlier in the day, and they didn't ever respond to FTD regarding the request. I will never use them again if I can help it. Absolutely ruined my Valentine's Day gift. You would think on one of the most important flower days of the year, a company would be on point for at least that day. read more

There's no doubt the arrangements are beautiful, a little expensive but still beautiful. Customers service no as good. I walked into the shop ordered two home deliveries and one business delivery for the same occasion. I was promised by Steve (several times) home delivery would be the same day. I explained my reason for same day delivery. I was assured the delivery would be make. I had no problem paying the ten dollar local delivery fee for each order. Next day delivery for the business order was okay with me, still a ten dollar delivery fee. The next morning I called Steve's for an explanation as to why my home deliveries never arrived as promised. The explanations, yes there were many, I felt unacceptable. I felt lied to and deceived. I was told Steve's called the recipients and they agreed to the late delivery. I asked how that was possible when I never left a phone number to call them. Steve's told me they went out of their way to look up the phone number. I was also told there was an address problem. I did leave my phone number with Steve and never received a call about any address issues or reasons for being unable to keep their delivery as promised. If I felt Steve's response to be an honest one I would have kept my order and accepted a later delivery. read more
