Recently stopped by the shop on a whim while walking around the area and loved the concept of picking your own bouquet. I thought the prices were reasonable! The mini bouquets had a beautiful minimalist look without costing so much. This would be a great spot to pick out an aesthetically pleasing bouquet for a friend / loved one on a whim. This store is my new happy place, and such a breath of fresh air for Old Main Street in Bellevue. It's filled with wonderful fresh flowers, that are beautifully displayed between antique furniture and random finds. My grandma LOVED her birthday flowers that came beautifully arranged in a vase. I ordered my flowers on Wens to pick up this morning, and they were ready to go as soon as I came in. Perfect! It's owned by great people and filled with beautiful things. You can hardly tell it's a brand new store, because it already feels so homey inside and they are running so efficiently. My first experience with flowers for the people was quite possibly the best interaction i've EVER had with a company in my entire life. Let me break down this story for you, i'll try to keep it to the point. 10:00am - I called and got the voicemail 10:01am - Jennifer called me back, and was willing to help. I had a very special request for a same-day surprise proposal. I needed a bouquet of hibiscus flowers with roses. Jennifer spend the next 5 hours driving all over the Puget Sound to gather the the hibiscus plants, (because they dont keep them at the shop). The entire time, she is TEXTING me updates on how its going and the progress. I called 4 other shops prior to this one, and no one would help me. 3:00pm - She delivered the flowers to the building I was at. They were amazing!!! I couldn't have been more happy. --I paid a alot for it, but ya know what... it was worth every penny. I though the price was more than fair for all of the driving she did, and hours she spent working on it. I actually thought it would cost me more than it did. --I've never found anyone more willing to help in my entire life and made the experience very personal. --Flowers for the people will be the only place I go to in the future. 5 stars all the way!!! Here I was just 2 days before Valentine's Day and in need of something to get my hubby. So I call up Flowers for the People and wonderful Olivia answers the phone. I asked her if she had any arrangement fitting for a man - and crossing my fingers that I wasn't too late to put in an order for delivery on what has got to be the busiest day of the year for a florist. Her excitement over what she had in store for my man was contagious and I knew right away it'd be a perfect fit! A "manly" arrangement inside a cigar box!!!! Couldn't have been more perfect for my cigar-lovin' hubby! Here we are on March 2nd and he still has them sitting on his desk in our home office to look at every day! It gorgeous (in a manly way) and made with such high-quality "flowers" it still looks amazing weeks later! Unbelievable! I couldn't even begin to identify what "flowers" were in there because they all looked so exotic and not "ordinary" - truly making this a great Valentine's Day gift for my hubby who is incredibly hard to shop for. This is the best florist in the country, I'm convinced. First off, the owner is one of the kindest people and business owners I've ever spoken to. She took the time and effort to see if she could arrange for my delivery to be made outside of the usual delivery zone, and made it happen on a Sunday! And the arrangements are absolute perfection. Flowers for the People has the most unique flowers- jasmine, fragrant sweet peas, gorgeous peonies and garden roses, interesting ivy, etc etc! They have the most beautiful rustic cement vessels, milk glass vases, and gorgeous birch wrapped vases. But not only this, they were open when no one else was, and were able to deliver for a fairly low cost where no one else would. Thank you so much again Jennifer and FFTP!! read more

I wanted to do something nice but was running late to be there so I called these guys and asked if I could have them bring my delivery to the park. They were so excited after explaining my situation that they had put together the flowers I ordered in a more than perfect wrap and ran to the park for delivery. . I visited the shop for the first time with my friend, and saw the staff who was helping another lady at the time. My first impression was how long is this going to take for her to finish, because we waited about 15-20 minutes. When it was our turn, she greeted us and was telling us where each of her flower is from and patiently answered our questions. We ended up with a very beautiful bouquet for a reasonable price! We talked briefly more with Jennifer, and she taught us how to properly take care the flowers afterwards. Since I came to the shop for the first time, and why I think she deserves a nice review. Please do not take your first impression as your final impression of Jennifer, if she was helping another customer, wait for your turn. She dedicated herself to the customer that is in front of her personally, and not five minutes here and there to answer short questions for other people. They created the most beautiful bouquet and had it delivered to the restaurant where my hubby and I were having our Valentine's dinner (520 Bar and Grill just across the street, review to follow!). The arrangements they've created for her have been some of the most gorgeous I've seen. I'm usually pretty abstract in telling them what I want, yet they capture my vision beautifully. It took 30 minutes to have a very small and extremely over-priced bouquet wrapped. This has to be the WORST florist in the Pacific Northwest! If I could rate lower I would have. I called today to order flowers for a very good friend for a special occasion and the woman I spoke to was very rude. Upon giving her the name and address to deliver to and what I was looking for and my price range the woman advised me in a condescending tone they have a min order for delivery of $75 with a $10 delivery charge and that the vase itself would be at keast $20. She also advised it is Valentine's week so the prices are higher and that another shop may be able to assist at a lower cost but they have their min price. I am fully aware that prices will be higher during a holiday as my family owns a flowershop in Oregon. I was on the fence if I wanted to spend that much and started to tell the lady that I would like to give it some thought and would call back if I decided to proceed with the order but before I could finish my sentence she rudely muttered thank you and hung up. This was not the service I expected especially with a five star rating. I realize it is a busy time but that does not mean you have the right to be rude to potential customers on the phone. Customers are what keep you in business. I may be a little fish and my measly order may not mean that much to your company but I and other customers deserve respect and to be treated like a person. Our family business is a small local shop and we would never treat people in this manner. I would ask of you to treat people, customers, potential customers with kindness and patience in this busy season. What was a fun and exciting occasion turned sour after my conversation with the lady I spoke with. This is a shop I will not recommend nor call for business. read more

Unlike some corsages that are big, bold, overdone, too much for a slender wrist, and other such things, this one had an elegance and a lovely, charming, natural simplicity. I describe it as "functional" because it was built on a cuff bracelet so that it slips onto the wrist and then stays nicely in place. It's like wearing a bracelet made with fresh flowers! I should also add that the friendly, personable, and charming service is noteworthy and refreshing. You will pay a little more, but you will get far more! Totally worth the higher price. I placed an order on a Sunday afternoon to be delivered that day. Unfortunately no florists were open and it was difficult to get anyone on the phone. The girl who was working saw I had called and called me back to my surprise and asked how she could help me.
