Now when I was a little boy being raised by my grandparents in Carson, among the many lessons they taught me was that "A rolling stone gathers no moss," their pithy way of advising me on the importance of settling my roots in one place. A lesson I've taken to heart, exemplified by the 26yrs my bride and I have raised our Family of five in Diamond Bar. This being my maiden visit with Moss, I've NO IDEA if he's an itinerant barber or if he's a founding member who belongs on the Floyd's 99 Mt. Rushmore. But judging from the effortlessly smooth, precise way Moss glided my barber chair coupled with the precise, gentle ministrations of his hands...all perfectly coiffed with the patient, genteel demeanor he extended towards me despite my status as the "world's most boring hair cut client¹," demonstrated to me that Moss has actually -just like his utterly perfect name suggests- acquired an impressive arsenal of artisinal-caliber talents. This is a consummate professional operating at or near the pinnacle of his craft. ¹ I am legally deaf, must remove my powerful hearing aids before undergoing any haircuts- Rendering me incapable of joining in the jovial bonhomie that livens so many barbershops I opted for my standard cut, a #2 taper in the back, #2 on the sides and a light trim on the top. He delivered!! And, yes, I will absolutely return. So should you. Final note- At the conclusion of my cut, I was mildly dismayed to discover that my hair cut was $41...some fourteen bucks and more than 50% higher than the $27 haircut fee that Google AI claims that Floyd's 99 charges. I hate to get enmeshed into price disputes, so I quietly paid my bill. But I DO WISH someone from Floyd's 99 would look into the glaring discrepancy between Google's posted fee and their actual fee schedule. I never mind paying for quality work like the outstanding work that Moss delivered...but pls be upfront w/ me. read more

Came to the shop last minute because it was close to my work and needed a touch up super bad. Brought my nine year old in for a haircut. The haircut itself was fine but they charged me for an adult haircut. When asked about it they told me it was because it took the same amount of time as a regular haircut. My son didn't get anything crazy just a standard boys cut. Don't advertise kids cuts, and then charge adult prices. Won't be coming back. read more

I came in over the weekend for a simple clean up around my ears and neck. I actually left telling the barber it looked fine before I could get home and look closer. It looks sooo bad! (Shane) messed up my hair up, and I can say I definitely will not visit again with this type of quality of work. The whole time Shane was moving fast with no detail at all, but I let it go and gave him the benefit of the doubt. But this is over the top. We had an appointment and after the cut was done, was told they didn't have time to do the fade. This was asked for at the beginning. Then they barely cut the top and it's all bumpy and miscut. I'm not sure what the previous customer was unhappy about, but based on his few reviews, it seems as though he seeks a negative experience to write about. That being said, we've only had positive experiences with Pablo. All 3 of my fellas (hubby, and two sons) see him bi weekly-ish, for about a year now. He's quick with the kids (in a good way) and takes his time with my husband. We have nothing to complain about, their cuts are always super clean when Pablo is done with them. Additionally, everyone is super kind there. Something to note, if you have a particular style in mind, it is helpful to notify your stylist. Show references photos. Be vocal about what you expect. Otherwise, you're giving your stylist free reign to loosely cut. read more

Ok 1st off when you walk in you get no greeting just is your appointment next. If you are a stylist here and aren't confident doing a haircut requested speak up. Dont just say yes and then do what ever the hell you want. Cut slow and take a little off at time. Don't say is eyebrow length good and proceed to chop off the hair halfway up or higher on the forehead. If you say you're going to do length then do it. It's not your choice to go shorter. No respect for what was requested. I won't names so if you go here it will be a roulette if you get this man. Good luck getting what you want and not what they think is good for you. This update is once again just to reiterate that Brenda is MAGICAL! This is the best my hair has EVER looked in my whole life! She is so lovely with guiding my indecisive self when I'm looking for a change, and I can truly say I trust her with my hair more than any hairdresser I have ever been to! This is my third time seeing her and she remembers little details about you and your hair/what you like, it is truly so thoughtful of her and I feel so valued as a client of hers. I am now rocking this beautiful berry/wine color and she even gave me amazing tips on how to keep it from fading + of course a fabulous shag cut that never fails to make me love my hair more and more each time. I've never had a consistent hairdresser I'd been to before, it was always just going wherever I could find a place that looked decent - but I truly feel like for the first time ever, I have a client/hairdresser relationship and it is so special to me! I have seen this place multiple times but figured it was an over priced hispter type hair style shop and not a Barbershop. I was correct, I went in today and was greatly disappointed in the quality of the cut. My barber said maybe like 5 words to me the whole time. One of them was that a line up is a separate 12 dollars on top of their 30 dollar fades. Good thing to know when im already in the chair but at least she told me before I said yes but how dumb would i look with a haircut and nasty line up. Instead i got it and the line up is terrible, pushed my hairline back and my hairline was clearly visibly growing where i usually get lined up. Then it was messed up on the corner of my hairline. If you are looking for barbers this is not the place. Yeah she was certified i guess but I can get a 25 dollar fade with a line up that will look fine somewhere else. Instead of paying 45 bucks. To be disappointed. The place looked really cool and offered first time shampoo. So if you think a shampoo is worth the additional 20 dollars come on by! Will not be returning. Hubby is a bit particular about his hair. Not really his fault. Though, he blames it on the genetics he got from his mom. His hair kind of curls up once it reaches a certain length. Anyways, we moved into the area a little over a year ago, and, instead of driving back to where we used to live for a good barber, he had to try and seek a closer barber. Found this barber via Yelp. We've come in a few times, now, but the wait hasn't been bad. Around 10 or 15 minutes, depending on what day it is. All the barbers seem to know what they're doing, and hubby's been pretty pleased with the haircuts he gets. Plus, when it grows out, it actually looks pretty good versus a bird's nest that it used to be. Price-wise, it's okay. It's a true barbershop and not people who think they're barbers (or, maybe some are like that, but they know what they're doing). Place is super-clean, too! Only issue is parking. Might be difficult to find parking on a weekday evening or on a weekend. Good hair cut, good barbers, good price. We'll be back! read more

Not only did Erick did a lousy job I had to cone home trim all the hair that was sticking up on the back and some long hairs on the back, and so many uneven hairs on front.
