Every time I come to this location I always get the best service from Annie (Anz). Anz always gives amazing haircuts and gets it right every time. Convenient and clean place to get a cut. Online booking is awesome and a great idea. I would suggest accounting for +/- 10 minutes of actual booking start/end. (Perfection cannot be rushed!) I've been here a few times and with at least 2 different specialists. Brought my 13 year old son here for a cut, made apt online. He has shoulder length straight hair. When we got there the lady that checked us in immediately told me "next time you need to make an appointment for a mid length cut because they take longer and the cost is higher". Huh?! She didn't even ask what kind of cut he wanted. He got a trim, literally one inch of the bottom. Start to finish it took less then ten minutes. Guaranteed a short cut is more difficult and takes 3x longer. Total cost was almost $50 with tip. Absolutely ridiculous. Barber (female) did a great job, it wasn't her fault. But I will never go back there with that cost and the lack of consideration from lady at the front. read more

Haircut not worth the price, barber was great for conversation. I went with Floyd's because it was near my errands and had good reviews. True Barbershops should be using a straight razor/blade to line up neck, around ears etc. Scissors and clippers isn't enough for the price when Great Clips does the same. Will not being returning, V's barber shop uses a straight blade for the line up and free cleanups between cuts as well other barbershops. Other options in this business. If you come to this location expecting to be seated in a chair right away... don't. Their app or even making an appointment is best. But I highly recommend using their app as you can pick who will cut your hair. We only take our son to barbershops, I know it's just hair and it grows back esp for boys but a nice haircut is important. To us at least. We have been taking my son to get a haircut from Cecelia for a few months now and let me just say this... no one has ever understood my son's hair like her. I am a long time Floyd's customer (8+ years) and I think my last experience is telling me our relationship may need to come to an end. I buy product every other month for $20-30 and bring my sons (up to 3) at a time with me when I can. I always tip $10 per stylist. When my oldest son moved out, he found a Floyd's near his location. We are a "Floyd's family". Cuts above: this place is way better than Supercuts, cost cutters or any other bargain chain. With Floyd's you get close to the walk-in flexibility and affordability of the chain and "any stylist does a good job", but Floyd's stylist turnover is much lower and I think their staff actually likes working there. The bundle (cut, shampoo and massage) are good bargains for a little manly pampering. If you're looking for a good result at a fair price, this is a great option. If you're looking for a long term relationship with a brand, keep it moving. Uppercuts: the front desk workers need to go to a customer service re-education camp. When I walk in there's no warm or friendly greeting. There's never been any effort to acknowledge or thank me for my repeat business. Simple things to correct with the help of technology and some have been mentioned by other reviewers. You changed your booking app recently so maybe there's an effort underway to improve. Everything is positive until we get to the task of managing the schedule. Apparently it's OK to keep me waiting (without any acknowledgement or apology) for between 10 to as many as 30 minutes past my appointment time if the stylists just so happen to be busy. But if I dare be so much as 5 minutes late even once in multiple years...you cancel my appointment and turn me away. Does your receptionist realize I drove 10 minutes to get here, will drive 10 back home and really needed a haircut for my job? Like you, it's difficult to control all the variables necessary to be right on time every time. Sending me home with my shaggy 'do intact was really a major negative impact for me. So much so, I'm considering never coming back. Other industries like fast food, airlines, have figured out this basic problem of service timing. They have targets for their timing and progressive sanctions when customers are late...but the penalties swing the other way it the vendor fails to meet their targets. If you're saying the timing is critical for this appointment and your Swiss watch scheduling precision can't accept +/- 5 minutes, and this is so important that you're willing to risk the years of our relationship then I suggest trying to make the question of timing a little more mutual where you work with me as much as possible. Recently I walked in 9 min late for my appointment. Receptionist asked my name and phone number. No guests waiting. Two stylists leaning on the counter, watching me interact with the receptionist. Receptionist pulled up my appointment and said they had to cancel me because I was late. Zero effort to accommodate in any way. He typed for two seconds and said..."...and there's nothing else available today (somewhat to the embarrassment of the stylists who I think recognized me as a regular, and were idly holding the counter down). Want me to make an appointment for tomorrow?" I felt like being late had other remedies but "the system" only allows appointments on the half hour and he physically wasn't able to make the appointment or the decision was made to punish me for being late other than trying to find a way to get my haircut. I walked out. Floyd's management: Cumulatively, I have waited hours of my life past my scheduled appointments for you and your team when they took longer than expected when performing their job. I am rarely late for any of my many appointments. I have a record in your system your scheduler could have bothered to check. "Whoa, this dude and his family spend over $1500 a year...at Floyd's! Let's give him a premium (or at least courteous and respectful) service experience." Didn't happen. Instead, each time I walk in, it's like the first time you met me. I actually have positive thoughts about the Floyd's brand but you slap me in the face a little when you are so transactional and cold. You do a great job with the stylists and the quality of their output. I can imagine adding a task for the receptionist to ask for my phone number, look up my account history and acknowledge: wow, thank you for using Floyd's for over 100 haircuts! (Or whatever milestone is appropriate). Or "hey last month was your first visit, how did you like it? it's really great you came back to see us." It's called customer service and nurturing clients to build loyalty. Apparently this is no priority for Floyd's. It's unfortunate our long term relationship didn't mean as much to you as it has to me. read more

I have worked in this industry and so I know about customer service, understand waiting time for walk-ins, etc. A few Friday's ago, I went to go with my brother to get his haircut. He attempted to make an appointment on the app but he didn't see the stylist he usually went to so he decided to walk in. Upon arrival, we were the only walk-ins waiting and there were quite a few hairstylists already working on clients. There were about 3 people at the front desk chatting with one another. After 2 more stylists were finished with their haircuts, they joined into the conversation with the 3 other people at the front desk. By now there were a couple more walk-ins and my brother still waiting for a haircut at this time. Being in this industry, it is very frustrating to watch 5 employees mingling while there are walk-ins waiting. I understand if there are appointments coming and if they were waiting for them but they were not. After 1 of the 5 employees at the desk was done talking, she finally took my brother to her station and this was right after she had time to mingle, get her drink from her station, and then start talking to the girls again. After that, the rest of the employees took the rest of the walk-ins that were waiting. This past week, he went again. There were 4 hairstylists and assuming 2 receptionists since they were both at the front desk awhile. He waited a very long time for a haircut. Once again, when a hairstylist was finished with their client, they started mingling with the other employees at the desk before they took another client. To me, this is not professional. If you have walk-ins waiting and you have time to take them and you are not waiting for a client, then you should definitely take them right away. That is money sitting in your chair and you are talking away not doing your job. Hopefully the other locations are not like this. Other than that, the salon looked great and it looked clean. The hairstylists mostly were in very casual clothes. Some with their hair nice and some with their hair in a ponytail that looked like they just threw it up after getting out of bed. The stylists didn't seem like they have set stations since between the first and second time I went with my brother, I saw a few of the same stylists there that were at different stations. read more

Before, when I would go to other haircut shops (great clips oof), I would always have to double check my hair when I got home or fix mistakes. This had been the worst haircut i've ever gotten. I asked for a short fade all throughout the sides and then i wanted the top long. I showed this women the picture of EXACTLY what i wanted and she glanced at it for maybe 2 seconds. She flips me around in the mirror and i look like i'm about to be shipped off to the army. For those that are looking to visit, do not (I repeat), do not arrive early in the hopes of being taken care of sooner. Beau does not communicate effectively; additionally, some barbers will not do anything outside of their respective times. Resolution: 1. Do not be afriad to give direct answers; humility will get you a long way in life. 2. Barbers should not be timid to work outside of the respective timeframes. 3. Do not ask about a follow-up. So the cashier says "she's on a lunch break and has an appointment but I'll ask." But they put me with this pink hair girl which I don't know her name. So I asked for a cut and even showed her a picture on what I wanted EVEN DESCRIBED TO HER WHAT I WANT. So during the cut she asks me what to do And what to do on the sides and everything but after the cut, I feel the back of my head and it's a number 1 when the picture shows at least a 3 and gets shorter at the bottom so a fade basically. I got really mad because the picture looks nothing to my cut as shown below. So if you go here I highly recommend to set an appointment and don't get your cut from a lady with pink hair or around the person. read more

I would do zero stars, but have to do one in order to post this. Just left Floyd's because my 4 year old autistic son won't wear a mask. He and I were asked to wait outside in 99 degrees while my husband got his haircut. We were told it is their corporate policy. So, this doesn't happen to others...if you have a disabled child (even under 6) he/she will have to wear a mask or you will be asked to leave. My husband will find another place. I made an appointment today for my son at 3:30. I grabbed him from school a little early to make the appointment on time and was scheduled pretty tight because he had soccer at 4:30. An hour should have been plenty of time. At 3:47 (17 minutes late for our appointment) the receptionist says the barber will still be a few minutes but if I had to leave I could have a $5 discount. This was my 5th visit to this Floyd's, and have to say, it's all in your selected barber! The first two barbers to give me a buzz cut and a beard trim did a great job, but due to reasons outside their control, neither are available anymore. I was forced to pick a new barber from their list (use the app!!). I selected CT. Hands-down, CT is amazing! I can honestly say I've never gotten a better haircut (even an even buzzcut) with attention to detail! And for a beard trim, the man is a professional. If you are looking for attention to detail, hot towel & shaving cream expertise, and an undeniable and consistent service, CT is your man. As for the some of the other negative reviews I have seen, what is important is to use their app and select your barber/stylist ahead of time. When I come to Floyd's Barbershop, I usually get great service. Today was the complete opposite. Dom was great the last time he trimmed my beard. Today though, he butchered it. I take pride in having a great beard and told him I was having a birthday party the next day so the beard trim needed to be perfect. Well I regret that statement. He butchered my beard so bad that i lost the entire length down to only 1/4 inch long. It was a complete hack job. I paid and even tipped him. Maybe he was having a bad day or something. Don't care. I went home and fixed it. My son went to Floyd's Barbershop later that night and his haircut was way off too. I asked who cut his hair and he said Dom. In life, you get what you pay for and this is especially true for a haircut. I have been seeing CT (5 stars for my cuts) for several years and he is always consistent. As for the shop, it's a good location and clean. I think they could do a better job with bookings and appointments because they always seem to be running behind. The online scheduling needs some work and the IVR needs to be more to the point (get me to the receptionist faster). Barber shops and salons are like doctor and dentist offices which live and die by their support staff and the organization of their scheduling which in the case of Floyd's, seems to be slightly lacking. read more
