I have called there several times and got put on hold while waiting for someone at the lawn mower repair shop. they never did pick up. Frustrating to say the least. Other than that---I like going into the main store. great people. read more

I haven't been here in quite some time, but I have to say I am now a big fan of Floyd's and I will shop here first before going to a big box store. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the store. As I asked I was guided to the part of the store I needed. There was friendly helpful staff everywhere. I never had to hunt for help like in a big box store where you are lucky if you can find anyone to help. I needed a couple of things and found everything I needed quickly thanks to staff. One of the things I needed was re-screening for a window. They had a number of options At very reasonable prices. The work was well done and with very little wait time. The store is clean, organized and well lit. Plenty of Knowledgeable polite staff everywhere. They offer all kinds of hardware, plumbing & building supplies. They have a large clothing department. There are work boots and clothing. Then for those who like a western flair to their clothing they have men's, women's & children's hats, boots and clothing. Plenty of seasonal clothing as well. Checking out the front desk staff were fun, friendly & efficient. But something that really caught my interest was the old fashioned popcorn maker up front. I had been smelling popcorn as I shopped and thought I was making it up in my head, Ha! Well low and behold they sell it freshly made at checkout. Needless to say I bought some. It was yummy! It brought back nostalgic memories from my childhood when things like this little touch were common. My experience shopping at Floyd's was great. I highly recommend this business! We were loyal big box hardware store customers. We have switched to Floyd's because their customer service is outstanding. It reminds me of the old fashioned stores where you were actually treated like a human being. You can find everything from good quality boots , bbq equipment, plants, batteries, canning equipment, etc. They will order special items like pavers, even if they're not stocked usually. Next time you need something, give them a chance. read more

My husband went to Floyd's on North Chester to order solar screens.They showed him 2 samples, 60% and 80%..he chose the 80, 4 screens was over $300, okay thats fine but when we put the screens up you can still see inside when you are outside and there is very little light blocking.So this am my husband calls, tells them whats going on, takes the screens down and back to Floyds...naw..they said everything was okay..we compared other 80% light blocking screens and there was a huge difference..Shame on you Floyd's for selling crap and NOT standing behind what you sell... read more

Helpful Hub Steve ( Floyd's employee) was anything but helpful he gave me the impression that I was bothering him and want do I need!!! I eventually found some great sale person to help me. My recommendation is to stay away from Steve ( not helpful). My purchase in hand the staff was great. read more

No one wants to work.They keep u on hold forever,if they answer at all.They also will let it ring several times only to pik up receiver and hang up. read more

I went to rent rototiller for my backyard and never used one before. When I walked in I had a million and one questions to ask and I came across a serviceman, Andres Jimenez, he was very approachable, the had the beast deal in town to rent for a weekend. He had several models but got me the most popular one and when I asked how to operate it he went into great detail and was very efficient. He told me if I had any questions when I got home I could call or video call him and gave me the confidence that I could get the job done. The customer service was amazing which tends to be lacking in most home improvement stores. Don't usually review but if you want to have a good experience and leave with instructions and confidence then try out this Floyd's and ask for Andres, we need more people like him in the world. read more

I was considering a new mower purchase on line but instead took "OLD FAITHFUl" to the South Chester store,just to see what it would cost to renew it. I expected sticker shock for1) new rotory blade..2) primer button..3) new starter/pull rope. I was quoted $65.00 or so and they would call in a week. They finished a couple of days early and came in under initial quote. Total was $58 and change.And they topped off engine oil! The desk/counter people were top notch and my old mower starts on the 1st pull....like it did 20 years ago. Thank You Floyds people,you now have a new customer. read more

This Floyd's provides a great experience one time, next time maybe not so much. After asking for help with rolls of rugs, or other things, I have come to the conclusion that some of the employees here would like to help you, others do not want to help. It IS a nice little store, I DO like the store, with some training or leadership it would be much better. I will always be back though. read more

I love the store very convenient is not a large box store. Has a lot of items that you can't find anywhere else. The section that I love the mostis there screw, bolt and nut section that they have You can find thousands and thousands of different types of screws nuts and bolts and any special item you need . read more

Part of the store closed two hours early today. Showed a sheared t-bolt and butterfly nut to the girls in the front to see where they might keep them. Was met with blank looks and told to look in the wrangler dept. Store has gone way down hill over the years. No selection, no service, no reason to come back. read more

Not a giant warehouse store like Lowe's or Home Depot, but still carries the vast majority of what any weekend warrior needs. Very clean, extremely knowledgeable staff that seems to be able to answer any question at Journeyman level. Prices are about 5-10% higher than the aforementioned but worth it for the customer service. They also have a nursery, window cutting, and work attire that the other stored just don't carry. read more
