My husband loves Home Depot! My husband goes to home depot on a weekly basis for work, whether its this one or the one on the east side or the one on Gosford. We came to this Home Depot intentionally so we can have breakfast at The Huevo House. We needed blinds for two of our rooms. We already knew what type of blinds we wanted so we went to the area where the blinds are and waited. We did have to track someone down but we didn't wait too long. When we finally did get someone to help us to cut the blinds down to size she was quick and kind. I have to mention the seasonal decorations. I can just come to Home Depot during Christmas and look, the decorations are adorable! I also have to mention the flowers and plants at Home Depot. The gardens are so beautiful and I love to walk around the garden section and just admire and maybe even get a new flower or succulent. read more

There were girls working at that self checkout, they were the one's complaining that the store needed more staff. They didn't move an inch to go help get the price we needed on an item they did not have marked. It took forever to get a price so we just took what did have a price on it and then went to Lowe's and got the piece they couldn't find a price for. Home Depot/RF Installations BUYER BEWARE. NEVER HAVE HOME DEPOT INSTALL ANYTHING. I will not even buy one bolt from Home Depot or step foot in a Home Depot again. They just lost a long-term customer for life. * November 2024 purchased five interior doors and one closet door from Home Depot. * Home Depo used RF Installations in Bakersfield, California to install. This Home Depot was located on Ming Ave in Bakersfield. * I had flooring done by another company. They advised me to have Home Depot remove all old doors first. Home Depot said that since I am not removing the doors on the same day, RF Installations would not remove the old doors. I had to pay another business extra to remove them first. * In November 2024, installation began. RF Installations had issues from the beginning. Had to modify studs on a few of the doors to get them to fit. He also had to remove doors from frame and screw back door and hinges into frame. When installer left, the doors started to rub on three of the doors. * Installer then noticed he stripped some of the screws on the hinges when he screwed them back into the frame and door. He used too much torque on his screwdriver. Instead of using longer matching hinge screws, he put in a few drywall screws so the doors would close and not rub. I didn't notice this issue until later. * Fast forward to December 2025. During the winter, I noticed two more doors started to rub once again. This was 13 months after the original installation date. * I had some other urgent home improvement issues and finally notified Home Depot in Bakersfield about the issue. This was March of 2026 with 16 months after installation date. I was told by Home Depot, Ming Ave, Bakersfield that since it went over the one year installation warranty, they couldn't do anything about it. * I then contacted Home Depot Corporate, and they told me the same thing. I was out of luck. They said I could try calling RF Installations and see if they could help me but would probably charge me to fix the issue. I said your installers messed up my doors and the one-year warranty should be extended. * I am now paying a professional to fix Home Depot's mess they dumped on me. * DON'T EVER HAVE HOME DEPOT INSTALL ANYTHING FOR YOUR. Once they take your money and leave you with a mess, they won't care. HOME DEPOT HAS LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. I will only shop at Lowe's and never ever have a box store do any installations for me. Home Depot on Gosford is worth the extra few miles. This store has friendly helpful employees. I needed one can of Rust-oleum spray paint a special color (rustic orange) to finish my Xmas gift for my grandson, 2 other HD stores couldn't help me. The paint department is the best of all the depots in town. Thanks to Ian he was in the holiday mood. Their inventory is never out of stock in any color you may need. While I was there I was Impressed with how clean and well stocked the store was. The holiday section was almost completely sold out, except for one lonely 8' decorated tree standing tall and bright. The season is almost over this tree won't last it will find a lucky family. I made it over to the lumber section all the wood was squared up and fully stocked up high, it looked great. Garden, appliance, hardware departments were Just as impressive. I needed assistance at the checkout because I was buying spray paint. Service is horrible and I'm all about service. There a lot of employees because they had good sells, but no one wanted to help at least three customers were complaining. They were even making announcements for employees to return to their departments. I finally got help but the employee seemed sooo bothered. At self check out all but two were closed and the employee helping was rude until I told her everyone was rude then she was nice. I know people love Home Depot I only stopped because it was closer than Lowe's. We've been renovating a trailer and I've learned Lowe's inventory is easier to find and their customer service has gone above and beyond each time I've been there. Never getting appliances from there EVER again. Our washer is having trouble with the washbasket and we still have a year on the protection plan/warranty with Home Depot. We called to have someone sent out and the LOOPS and amount of phone calls we've had to do JUST to even get someone out here to even LOOK at it is abyssmal!! The warranty isn't even through Home Depot, it's through All State and they want us to do all of this extra garbage just to even prove that they need to send someone out! All their call centers are outsourced to who-knows-where, because we could not understand ANYONE through all the calls we've had to make in just this past week alone! And because we're still on the Home Depot warranty, MayTag, the company brand on the washer, can't step in and fix the issue! They have a 10 year warranty by default and they could've already fixed the specific issue by last week!!! It's appalling! So we came here to get a tarp, The Home Depot same decor like all of them orange everywhere plus Christmas decor of course and the smell of wood. We wasn't sure where the tarps was located and I'm not the one to ask the employee anything I don't care what store I'm in, I usually figure it out. I was with my friend and she wanted to ask so we did. We end up talking to Eric I hope I remember his name, he was so funny, nice and a great attitude. He pointed us in the right direct for the product we was looking for. The store was clean and all the employees are either helping people or moving products through out the store. We did not enter the garden section because there was no need and it was cold. They had a lot of Christmas trees to chose from and all other Christmas decorations as usually. Home Depot is usually on it when it comes to Christmas so that did not surprise me. Not surprised this place has this bad of a rating. I stopped by the other day as I had to pick up some grilling supplies and a fire pit for the pad. I asked for some assistance the and was told they'll be calling someone for me shortly. 10 mins went by and nothing, so I had to chase someone else down and request for some assistance again, this time I did see the associate make the call over the loudspeaker. "Why didn't they do that last time" - I asked myself, didn't matter now someone knew there was a customer waiting in aisle whatever it was. 10 more mins went by and nothing! I thought it was ridiculous, what a waste of time. You can ask a worker a general question and these people are either all new or they look at you like you're speaking Chinese. So its freezing! Of course this is the moment my water heater decides to die. Its 27 years old I mean I guess in dog years thats a whole lot it was time to let go. Anyway American Home Shield let's you pay them for Home warranty insurance but they dont actually cover anything on an "older home" so if you have these things in common with me make sure you are familiar with Home Depot. Go to the Rosedale location or go to Lowe's. After waiting forever for material cutting help the employees I talked to were abrupt and seemed more interested in minimizing the work they had to do, including giving clear instructions for who they were passing me off to, than anything else. I came in yesterday to but a toilet, the one I wanted looked like an open box so before I bought it I asked someone to make sure and inspect it to make sure nothing was missing, the employee looked at me funny and said well of you want to but this your going to have to pay for it too. (First bad feeling I should have gone with my instincts). I look and someone had put a $5.00 wax ring in there and the look she gave me was like whatever like you didn't put this in here,(the first thing I said was can you please check this to make sure everything is in there why would I say that if I was trying to steal a $5. Wax ring). So I shrug it off pay $311 for this toilet take it home get it installed and guess what, it is missing the water tank lid? Really that's why I asked someone to look in the box in the first place, then I go back in today and the older lady in customer service has the biggest attitude towards me for trying to get my issue resolved. So she starts pointing at me and I was like ma'am you don't have to get an attitude and point at me like a little kid I'm just trying to fix mistake that your business made you can cut the attitude, nope bad idea now she has a crap attitude and says I'm the one that is rude. So I ask for a manager, I am standing right there when she calls and of course I am the bad guy. Look if your not happy about the mistake your company makes train your employees better and damn have some customer service reps that want to help your customers, not everyone is trying to steal from you! They were able to look it up with our credit card. We decided to get store credit since we still needed a tile saw. So we had found the saw we wanted prior to coming to the store and saw that it said that it was in stock( it was a GReAT deal) It was a little hard to locate but with the excellent customer service that Zena provided, she walked us to the correct area, introduced us to Brandon and with his help we found the saw we wanted!!!!!! Y'all! I was getting hungry/ angry aka hangry and with there help I was able to leave happy with the item I wanted!!!! And I got to go eat where I wanted after soooo THANK youuuu Zena and Brandon!!! Tasha was helping my mother and I when we arrieved. My mother was interested in purchasing a washer and dryer, refrigerator, and an all-freezer. Tasha was very informative! She helped us get the right brand and sizes that fit our needs. However, it was at the end of Tashas shift and had get helped by Lupe. Lupe was very dismissive and off-putting. It was because of her negative demeanor that discouraged my mother from purchasing, and we stopped the entire transaction... I'm so disappointed from the drastic difference in the two employees. Tasha shared that she was only a part-time employee and only had a 4hr shift today, that Lupe was the full-time person and would close the sale for us. I bought a freezer to hold holiday food, but it still hasn't gotten cold enough to freeze anything.

Normal trip to HD for home maintenance supplies. I grab a cart and collect what I need and head for the checkout. When I get to checkout I ask the attendant to apply my military/veterans discount. I was asked to open the app on my phone so the QR code could be read. Well I had forgotten my phone. I have my veterans ID, but I was told I had to have my phone. I promptly deserted my cart where it was and went to Lowes for my supplies, knowing full well the items I was purchasing were more expensive at Lowes. HD could take a lesson. Lowes provides a card, key fob tags and stickers with a bar code that gets scanned at the register. Much more convenient than having to open an app on my phone, and if I happen to not have my phone, no problem. Also, the cashier can call up my account at the register. So HD, get your act together and streamline your military/veterans discount program. I don't mind spending a bit more for better service. read more

The many handfull of times I've been here, there's almost always non-working individuals (hispanics) just chillin in the parking lot, looking for work. Despite this, the store is very well kept and clean. Most of the employees are helpfull and knowledgable of the store/products. I shop here regularly. Note: One time I was there by myself. I purchased a few big pieces of dry-wall. As I was struggling to load the pieces on my truck, two individuals that were "just chillin" outside the parking lot, kindly helped me load. I've had a terrible experience with the repair of a tool. The Home Depot handles repair of Ryobi tools that are still under warranty, so I took mine in and was told it would be about 2 weeks to fix it. A month and half later, I was told it would be 2 months. Two and a half months later, I was told it was done, and being sent back to the store. Over three months later, I was told whoever told me it was done was wrong, still being repaired. Ryobi can't do anything because it's Home Depot's responsibility to fix it. The website doesn't allow me to contact customer service online, and only gives an 800 number. Called the 800 number, but kept being transferred back to the store, even though I told them I already spoke to the store several times, with no resolution. Terrible customer service all around. You'd think they would just replace the tool if they can't fix it in a timely manner. At this point, I'll probably just go to Lowe's and buy a new tool. read more

Your answers to anything depends on who you talk to. They are all rude and act like your bugging them to get help. They screwed up every order I did but unfortunately at the time they did deliveries this was my only choice to deliver to my location. They charged me and never delivered anything then made me rent their box van and do it myself. I have verbally warned everyone I've talked to about that store. DON'T GO INTO THIS STORE!! There was a time during our home renovation when this Home Depot almost became our second home. Employees knew us by name, asked us how various projects were going, we were here THAT much. This particular location is one of the smaller ones in the area, but they do cover the basics and then some. We have only needed to go to another store (NW) to get a mini-fridge that they had on order. We also went to the one on Gosford because we were in the area and looking for lighting fixtures, but ended up just getting it from this one. I do have to say, be wary when going through Home Depot to get stuff done. We have had some really good experiences, and some not so good experiences. It really just depends on who Home Depot subcontracts it out to. Good thing is that if someone screws up, Home Depot will send someone else out there to fix it at no additional charge. The employees in the store will do everything they can to help you come up with the decisions on all the details so that there aren't any surprises during install though. read more

Ordered flooring guy shows up at rental with just carpet (even for kitchen)..people trying to rent but now telling me it will be next week before they can install flooring..this is 2 weeks since started this mess...
