These doctors are hard to find since not everyone is certified to perform this type of exam. I called several places and many either no longer existed or were not taking new pilots. Luckily, Dr Panzer's office was only about ten minutes from me. I stopped by without an appointment, not realizing walk-ins are not really accepted even though some of their online listings make it seem that way. To clarify, there are two separate medical offices in the same building, and only one side is Dr Panzer's practice where he handles FAA exams. The other side is unrelated. Even without an appointment, they were kind enough to fit me in. I waited a short time since another patient ahead of me needed extra attention, which was understandable. The nurse who took my vitals and Dr Panzer himself were both professional and courteous. The entire experience was smooth and welcoming. From the beginning, Dr. Shulman was incredibly patient and took the time to answer every single one of my questions and concerns. He was honest, realistic about what I could expect, and made sure I felt completely comfortable before moving forward.
