Our pizzas were huge. Yeah, they took a long time to cook, because the toppings were piled an inch deep. No, it is not charming. Come here for a pitcher and a pie, order some appetizers or salad for the wait, and dig in. Remember to order smaller here than you would elsewhere. read more

They offer pizza by the slice for a relatively low price. You get a lot for your money since each slice is nearly a quarter of an entire pizza. The pizza is acceptable but its nothing to write home about. The crust is dry but the generous amount of toppings and cheese more than make up for it. I dine at Flying Pie in Gresham on a regular basis and the food has never disappointed me. I have tried the majority of their pizza flavors and they always put an abundant amount of toppings on. The staff has always been friendly and the dining room is always clean. This is my favorite pizza place in Gresham. Also, I have eaten at the Flying Pie on Stark and I could not tell the difference between the two Flying Pies (some claim the Stark street one is superior). Excellent pizza! Quality toppings and plenty of them! I introduced my husband and now it's all we get. You pay more than you would for a pizza hut or something like that, but you get twice as much. Plus, it's in the same parking lot as Tiki Putt, so it makes a great date night. read more

Old world Pizzeria! We love this place. We primarily order To-Go orders, but for families with children or perhaps large groups it's a great environment. Huge pizzas and very fresh and delicious. My husband is one of the guys that work there. When the lights go off and the crowds leave he comes in and preps,the whole crew are awesome. My mom used to go in every Sunday for lunch from her job,and she used to bring home the remainder of her calzone. The owners really care for their customers as well as their workers. read more

First time I visited here, I thought the pizza was pretty good. I wasn't so thrilled about the 40 minute wait for it, but thought, hey....if it's cooked from scratch maybe that's what it takes! The owner was on the premises and he was friendly and asked us about our food which I appreciated. . Based on my first experience, I went there again for lunch the other day and UGH! What a difference! I ordered a thin crust pizza that came with so many toppings it was gross! The thin crust was soggy beneath the weight of all of the meat and cheese piled high on top. Maybe they put the same amount of toppings no matter what the crust is? It might have been tasty had they reduced the toppings by 90% and perhaps the crust would have been what you expect from thin crust - crisp! I ate a slice of pizza and so did my husband (we were already hungry upon arrival and the wait for pizza was 40 min like first visit). We left the rest of the $20 medium pizza on the table - it wasn't worth taking home : ( So, first time with owner present, not a bad experience. Second time in afternoon, no owner and wasn't that great. I probably won't risk another 40 minutes and $20 to try again to see if the third time is the charm. read more

I just got to say that I've eaten pizza from all over, but none beat Flying Pie Pizzeria in Gresham, Oregon. Their pizza tasted soooo good. All freshly chopped and made. Although, it took awhile for us to get our pizza, the waiting was well worth it because... it tasted heavenly. Their crust is to die for as well. But... One of their most outstanding traits is their employees. On, Thursday night, we went in to eat. Being a tourist to Oregon, (I am from Hawai'i-California), I took my camera out that night and snapped away. Didn't realize that I had left my camera on the table there the night before. Well, needless to say, we called the establishment the next morning and they said they have it in their safe. I was so happy. There is just not too many honest people out there. I absolutely love Flying Pie! My ideal pizza has thick, chewy crust and a ton of toppings, so I always order the extra-large, extra-thick, Combo #1. It's like $35, but it's 5 big dinners for me (today & tomorrow & 3 into the freezer). The Gresham location is not quite as good as the original Stark location (the ambiance of the Stark location rates 6 stars), but in my opinion, it is still far better than any of the competition. I have never tried their delivery service, nor their salad bar, because when I make the decision for Flying Pie, I am totally mesmerized by the anticipation of my favorite pizza experience (for the ultimate pizza-nirvana experience I, of course, head to the Stark location). read more

I am in LOVE with their gluten free pizza! I thought I would never be able to eat pizza again. They really pile on the toppings and the sauce and seasonings taste great too. Every time I've been in there, the staff is very friendly and efficient. Their pricing for gluten free crust is reasonable also. We used to love their pizza but that past few times we have ordered from there it has been horrible. We had it delivered and it took over an hr. The driver did call to say he was sorry for being late and that he was on his way. When the pizza came it was nice and hot but the crust was old and stale. Have only ever gone for pizza by the slice at lunch. But I've been multiple times. Nice thick crust, don't hold back on the toppings. Nice girl working the register, very friendly. I enjoy eating on the 'patio' on a nice sunny day too. read more
