They know what they're doing, they do it well for a good price, and they're always very courteous. Even when they are busy, it's not usually a long wait: they're skilled at what they do. Their price for tires includes free rotations and balancing, and any other issues with the tires short of a puncture. Their reasonable price IS the price: unlike Firestone and NTB, they won't fee you to death. It's no accident I've been going there for 23 years. I've also noticed that there are a lot of women customers. I have certainly never seen ANY of the staff be condescending or trying to upsell to women, as some car-related businesses do. Disappointed in what they charged me to install and balance 4 tires. As a previous fleet customer who purchased many many tires, I was shocked that they wanted 50 each to install and balance 4 tires. I even asked what it would cost without balance and it was the same with no reduction for no balance. We have been using Flynn's for over a decade. These have been our guys since we moved to Carnegie. They have never once attempted to mislead us, rip us off, or any of the negative issues that can happen at other auto services. I've had a lot of negative experiences at many auto services, but never at Flynn's. They've done all of the basics (tire changes, new tires, alignment, etc) and were also there for us during an accident. They worked on my car and brought it back to life. Unfortunately, I do not have a partner or a spare tire so I had my friend pick me up and take me to Flynn's. I bought a tire and they replaced and inflated it 5 minutes later. I can't say enough good things about the Flynn's on Hope Hollow Road in Carnegie. I got my tires there when I lived in Pittsburgh and went in every year for a rotation and oil change. I'm in town visiting dad and he got a nail in his tire. We were in and out in a half hour. The guys do impeccable work and their service towards customers is beyond a 10 rating. Unfortunately, my 2nd consecutive horrible cust. experience was not. I purchased a tire from the Carnegie store 3 mos. ago. It failed - the tread seperated from the sidewall. There was no contact or puncture explanation. Rather than honoring the mfr. warranty, and installing a new tire. I waitted 4 days for Flynn to contact Yokohama and return to me w a 50% off "deal". Honestly, I could use suggestions on a reputable garage. Every time I leave Flynn, I am poorer and completely dissatisfied. Had an appointment for tires at 10 am. At 1 pm asked the clerk why the delay as others who came in after me left. Clerk was rude and said they are busy. At 3 pm asked about the delay and finally the car was taken in. At 4 pm tires installed. Waiting 6 hours for tires is not good service. I love going here. I like this place because they provide A+ Service. If you take your car in to have it looked at for whatever reason that's what they do. Unlike NTB. They come out and tell you that you have 2,000 worth of fixes or you will die in a bad accident. This place doesn't treat you this way. They are respectful. I had my tires rotated at this location about six weeks ago. I had a flat tire a couple days ago and when I tried to change it, the lug nuts were so tight that I bent the lug wrench. I called roadside service to get it changed and the service man could not get them loose. Had to have the truck towed to a dealer who used a breaker bar with a pipe on it to get them loose. These are supposed to be torqued to about 80 foot pounds. Flynn is worthless. Don't use them. They also damaged my truck when they did the original work. They did pay for those repairs but still a hassle. Really not competent. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

Used to go there for tires, brakes, etc. Their prices have gone way up-$400 for 4 mid-level tires for a Toyota. Plus, 1 of the new tires went flat within 3 weeks. One of my close-to-new tires went bad driving from Virginia to Pittsburgh for the holiday. I called around, several places didn't have the Yokohamas I have on my car, but someone suggested that Flynn stocks Yokohamas. I called, and the guy said come on down, no appointment necessary. I went in, busy enough place but they still looked at my car in well under an hour. I expected they'd replace the tire and then recommend at least one other to keep the treads even. The fellow came out, told me that it was just a leaky valve, and he fixed it. Pleased to hear that, I asked what it cost, and he gave me the "We got it - get outta here" wave.
