He found his size perfectly but mine was a bit tougher because I have smaller fingers. The owner went ABOVE AND BEYOND to find a ring that matched my husband AND fit my tiny finger. Getting the message that it arrived was SEAMLESS and it everyone in the shop is CONSISTENTLY sweet and helpful. So happy it's in my neighborhood and happy to support local businesses. Very low-key, cool shop! The owner Matthew is amazing, very friendly, and seriously cares about everything that he sells. He is very passionate and knowledgeable describing how things are made, or where things are from, and how so many things are made locally. Music in the store was from his IPOD perched on the store counter. I have noticed he has posted some of his mixes on the store website. He spins records in addition to tending his store, and silkscreening interest. Even when the store gets busy, he manages to make everyone feel totally welcome, and provides different teas for your browsing pleasure! Cool clothes for women and men. I found this shop to be reasonably priced for what you are able to find...unique things in an independent business! They also had a sale rack when I was in there and found some cool things half off on there. Interesting cards, a few calendars for this time of year, fun jewelry, journals, clothes, and cold weather gear-coats, scarves, hats. Cute dresses too! So, the selection is small, but quality. You can get men's and women's clothing as well as accessories. It is a bit pricey, but the things you buy are totally worth it and you won't see 47 other people wearing the same thing. Stopped into Fancy Tiger Clothing and absolutely LOVED this place. I guess they had a bit of a makeover and gave the space a modern farmhouse vibe - all the rage these days and I don't hate it. Super friendly staff (I believe she was the owner and she was so sweet, I wanted to hug her) and a ton of fun and unique jewelry, clothing, skincare - all laid out nice and neat. This place just makes you wanna stay there and browse for hours. New favorite boutique in Denver. This place is so cleverly and thoughtfully curated. One of the buyers is an artist (miniatures for a modern world) that I've been a fan of for a while now! Had the pleasure of meeting her at the shop. They're very very smart as well as fair with their pricing, so you feel like you're shopping at an upscale boutique but I also found myself pleasantly surprised by the affordability of all their jewelry and clothing. Fancy Tiger! Portland in Denver! I felt right at home here amongst the stylish, hip (ster) clothing, the great accessories, the fun little accoutrement and the Betsy & Iya (from PDX) jewelry! B&I's stuff totally rules, and it was great to see it here (disclosure - I have no connection to Betsy & Iya - I just like their shit). My visit to this store was short and sweet, and while I didn't buy anything it doesn't mean that I didn't like the store. Au contraire. I just don't have the body type (skinny) for the styles of clothing on offer, and while I did lust after a few accessories, I had some traveling to do so opted out on this visit. That said, I'm sure I'd shop here plenty often if I lived in town. Most of all because if I lived in Denver, I'd miss Portland a lot, and would want to get a feel for it every once and a while. LOVE LOVE LOVE! As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to love their clothing. Then I saw they carried Dear Creatures and I got even more excited. Throw in their EXTREMELY friendly staff, and you've got an amazing store. While a lot of their merchandise has a higher price point than I usually pay, I don't think it was outrageous by any means. And the best part of the store, in my opinion is this line of reworked vintage dresses from a Japanese company. Basically they take vintage dresses and rework them with an elastic waist band, so it's all one size, but the cuts run differently, so you basically have fun playing dress up and finding one that fits you. I ended up with a dress that fit me perfectly, even though elastic waists rarely looking good on me, this dress looked fabulous! The best part... it was right around the $50 mark. I felt it was a great price and worth it for such a unique item. Plus, when I got home I googled everywhere to find the line and no one seems to carry it. If I visit Denver again, I will make a beeline for this store to stock up! read more

I just realized for the third year in a row, I've found the perfect birthday gift for my sister from Fancy Tiger. She has the unusual burden of a Christmas Eve b-day, so I always want to find something for her that will stand out from all the crazy holiday gifts. (If you knew my family at all, you'd know just how bizarre that can get.) It's nice to know that I'll always find the perfect gift here! I really love the clothes at Fancy Tiger, but for me it can be a bit hit-or-miss. Which is a good thing. They carry clothing lines from local designers, which means when they run out of a size, it's usually gone gone. (I particularly like the refurbished skirts and sweaters from Pearl - very unique.) Their jewelry selection is small but thoughtfully chosen, they stock creative and unique handbags, and even a small selection of gift cards and stationary. If you haven't stopped by this little boutique yet, it's definitely worth a browse. read more

Have you never been to fancy Tiger Clothing Store? No really? If you're a local or a tourist please put this place on your list. It is one of the few places in Denver that has quality affordable men's clothing that doesn't qualify as lumber-sexual. They also have unique accessories and gifts that doesn't look like they came from a TJmax in any city USA (I'm talking to you 16th Street stores). Great sunglasses for $40, Colorado shirts that are super cute and don't make you feel basic, and great staff. They are just the best. Get your butt here and drop some cash. read more

Why I remember when this place was a glimmer in South Broadway's eyes! To get there we had to walk up hill both ways. Alright alright, so I'm an old lady. But I'm not going to tell you that the days of yore were better. In fact, when it opened up next to the Sputnik, I went in there a few times and was irritated and not at all taken with it. Und now? Now is the phoenix rising up from the ashes. This not-so-new-anymore location gives you plenty of room to breathe. That means that you can see each clothing piece without having to crawl over clothing racks. Easier for things to catch your eye. There's a great big, flat display case with jewelry and buttons and things. There's a sales rack with (sometimes) great finds. Besides screen-printed t-shirts, not a lot of the clothing seems to be Denver local and handmade. That's a bit of a shame. But the clothes are obviously coming from boutique industries so that's nice to support no matter what. You pay a lot for them but the quality of stitching and material is wonderful. You're not just paying for a brand or a style. There is a lot of graphic design happening in here that you can find anywhere - on the shirts, on greeting cards, on posters. But that's a-ok. You can't really get away from that. To redeem that, there are a few small 2-D art pieces from local artists for sale. I find them to be really reasonably priced for the things they carry. Clothing is expensive. Accessories are moderate. And great deals on little DIY projects. The place seems to have mellowed out A LOT. It has gotten a helluvalot less pretentious and the clerks there are out of this world. Helpful. Friendly. Good-natured. Lovely store. Definitely worth stopping in and browsing. read more

Second and also important, the actual store is thebomb.com They carry a lovely and seemingly hand-picked array of handsome options for the men and what appeared to be likable stuff in the non-masculine area as well. I was told that they source as much as possible locally - mainly the jewelry and as much on the clothing front as well. I popped in here on First Friday and was delighted to see all of the neat one of a kind items. They had a pretty solid sale rack, and to top it all off, an additional discount was offered since it was First Friday. They had some cute dresses and T-shirts, jeans for guys, tons of cool wallets and a wide variety of accessories and awesome jewelry that I would buy in a heartbeat if I wasn't so damn poor. I meant to review this place the same week I returned from Denver so I am now two weeks late yet I still rave about this place to my friends! If you are into handmade jewelry, clothing and accessories then you will love Fancy Tiger! The BF and I were strolling South Broadway during the UMS fest. and he suggested we check out this place. I ended up falling in love! Imagine going to an indie handmade festival like Renegade, Unique LA, or Patchwork Indie Arts & Crafts Fest but under a roof. I ended up buying a few dresses here and perused a bit. Loved the selection of both mens and women's clothing along with the jewelry. Which I was pretty stoked to see that there was a handmade artist whom I know from the shows that I have vended in and little crafts events I have gone to in the past named Chantal deFelice. Any shop that supports the handmade community I am a fan of! It's refreshing to walk into a boutique and know you are getting a unique handmade dress, purse, earrings etc etc.. The props in here are also rad! I love props! Anyhoo this place is awesome and the people in here are friendly. I found that the people from Denver are all genuinely really nice. I love shopping here, particularly on some sort of event free-food-and-drink sale day (which it seems they have every weekend). If I had an unlimited amount of funds, I'd purchase all of my clothing here. Because I don't, I go here for a splurge item once or twice a month. They have a mix of locally made stuff, not locally made (but still handmade) stuff, a small amount of designer things (like jeans), and some "reclaimed" things. Everything is pretty trendy but not too young....cute dresses, sweaters, handmade jewelry with animals on it and the like. While a bit pricier than my Target/Ross/Forever 21 budget, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and uniqueness. I found the purse I've been searching for last first Friday - I literally gravitated towards it. Matthew, the owner, came by and told me a bit about who made it and then marked the price down a bit more. SOLD. I've been in here when they've had free beer, cupcakes, donuts, tea....I even got a free t-shirt and CD for buying something during their fourth birthday event. Another South Broadway Gem!! On my first experience down South Broadway I found this little place that caught my eye. Great open space and love the fact that they hand their clothes on small tree trunks - how unique!!! I took a long hard look around and really enjoyed all the clothing they had. A lot of unique finds and specialty clothes. I almost walked out of there with something but decided to hold off for one more visit. The women were very nice and as I started picking up items to try on she politely asked if I would like her to start a room for me - very nice! GREAT sale rack full of good variety of items. Call me crazy, but whenever I have a super fun, casual event coming up, I want to wear something super fun, yet casual. Unfortunately for my bank account, I'm not a huge fan of wearing the same outfit very often (ESPECIALLY when people have seen me wear something more than once). This has led me to many a shopping dilemma. Where to go for something fun, that every other dude won't already have. Guys do NOT have the millions of options that ladies do when it comes to retailers. A&F or Express? Hell to the no! The Rack - hit or miss. Banana/J. Crew - not very funky. Urban Outfitters - everyone will be wearing it (plus weird sizes!?). Thankfully, one day I stumbled into Fancy Tiger, and I can happily say that my wardrobe has never been the same. My favorite shop on Broadway. The Fancy Tiger has a broad selection of local designers - both clothing and jewelry designers. A friend recommended them to me when I was looking for a unique wallet for my guy. They have quite a large selection of mens ware in addition to all the ladies selections. I appreciated the friendly girl working there who was knowledgeable about the products, and not at all sales-ey (which I can't stand). I would recommend this shop when you want to find a truly unique gift that is high quality, hand-made and local. read more

I just moved from Los Angeles and I have been missing all my favorite boutiques. This boutique has such a great selection of apparel and accessories. I found a few things that I loved that they only had small or extra smalls left in... however, I am happy to remedy that by coming in more often so I can have my choice of sizes. An awesome locally owned and locally supportive clothing store -- even for dudes like me. Must say, their customer service is top notch. I bought a pair of pants there that we'll just say weren't of the cheap variety. For some reason that brand sews tags onto the back pockets. When I removed the tag at home I noticed a small hole where the tag had been. Now normally I wouldn't care about something like this -- but these were some really nice jeans from Fancy Tiger! I took them in and without hesitation they exchanged the pants for me and offered to remove the tag for me with their own tools (which I was relieved to see it wasn't easy for them either, so at least I'm not just stupid ... well, not that stupid anyways). They were so nice and friendly and willing to help me out, I will definitely shop there again, and feel completely confident that the money I spend is well worth it. in addition to their awesome clothes they are great people and absolutely a place to I'll recommend to all my friends. read more

So working as an unpaid intern this summer makes it particularly hard to go in here(no income=exhausting savings=savings being mostly financial aid funds), but when I feel like a splurge...Fancy Tiger Clothing is the place to do it at! Small selection, but as everyone has said, quality quality quality! I purchased a sundress for around $100; kind of a stretch for my budget but 1.) when I go 'back home' to ND, I'll most certainly be the only one with this dress; and 2.) it was too freaking cute to pass up! The staff was very kind and even pulled some styles of dresses from the back that hadn't been put out yet. Sometimes store clerks will bring you additional things 'you might like'; usually I give a polite smile, while secretly thinking "um no?" but here I actually could see myself wearing the pieces she suggested. Also, they seemed to have additional sizes in the back, so it wouldn't hurt to ask! So many exclamation points in this review! This place is good stuff! read more

I am a shopaholic and the Fancy Tiger is a great place to get a fix of shopping. If you are looking for one of a kind clothing pieces that you wont see on anyone else then this is the place to shop. I found two shirts on the sale rack and one at full price and spent only $100. Great deals and fantastic fashion. This is a store that has clothes that is in the same vein as Urban Outfitters but only better because it is local and some of the merchandise looks like it is crafted home made style. Perhaps it is because it is across the street from their other store Fancy Tiger Crafts! This place is definitely worth taking a peek and you may be so impressed that you will have to purchase items from them which will make the very nice staff happy and stimulate the local economy! read more

Ooh la la! If I could afford to shop at Fancy Tiger on the regular, I'd be infinitely cooler. First and foremost, the owner and staff at Fancy Tiger are so nice and welcoming, which isn't always the case for hip boutiques. I'm always greeted and chatted with, but never pressured or rushed as I browse the racks. All of the men's and women's clothing and accessories are unique and most are locally and/or handmade. Everything I've bought here has been high quality, though my Kling purse admittedly only held up for 10 months, but I can be rather hard on handbags. It does seem that a lot of the men's clothing is suited for tall, slim figures with narrow shoulders and as for the women's clothing, you'll likely have more luck shopping here if you're under a size 10. If you're not quite ready to spend a pretty penny, I recommend checking out their sales rack as I've found plenty of gems, including my favorite (recycled) sweater, just begging me to hang in my closet. read more

I love their local designer inventory, comfy/cute designs, and a hipster/hand-made-y flair... but, I hate that I can't afford to shop here more often. Great place for indie retro clothing. They carry brands such as Dear Creatures, LA Made, and Nick & Mo. They also have an amazing sale rack. Wonderful group of people run the store and are always friendly. Street parking so bring quarters for those meters. read more

Very cool stuff, but generally out of my price range and not worth it IMO. The selection is very limited as well, but I like that they carry both men's and women's stuff.
