Video game soundtracks? Film soundtracks? Yes. Wax Trax even has turntables for sale and turntable setup essentials. Stylus, speakers, record cleaners etc etc. In recently to pick up the new Kendrick album. A Christmas preorder and luckily they had some extras but I'm glad an LP WAS set aside for me. Big collection of classic and contemporary records. More popular music in addition to that obscure record you've been hunting for. Not far from the state capitol so parking can be tough at times. Still most spots are free for two hours so unless you plan to shop all day you won't have an issue. Twist and Shout is another Denver classic but for me Wax Trax is the Mecca. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. New releases, classics, record store day exclusives. Well worth a visit while you are in the mile high city. Happy spins!

I could have spent the entire day digging. Employees at the counter were incredibly helpful and friendly. This is on Record Store Day too, and there were so many people shopping but even the other patrons were overall very respectful and mindful of space. I was slightly disappointed because some of my favorite artists they didn't have markers for and therefore I assume they didn't carry vinyl for in general (Rhapsody, Kehlani, Gang Starr, The Hip Abduction) and were completely out of a few others (Toni Braxton, Brandy). On the flip side, we found some records that were absolute gems. They also said that they can order the records that I couldn't find, so overall I think that it makes up for what they don't have in immediate stock. We were also shopping from out of state, and they were able to ship our large haul back home. This was a dope experience and exactly why you should shop local.

Flippant, Dishonest, and Deeply Disrespectful Buying Experience and the records are overpriced…read more I have shopped here in the past and based on the high prices of the used records, I assumed my used records would sell at fair market value here but this was not the case. I brought in a curated stack of clean, high‑demand records and was met with one of the most disrespectful experiences I have ever had. The buyer behind the counter was openly flippant, dismissive, and acted like I had no idea what I was bringing in. His attitude alone set the tone -- rushed, condescending, and completely uninterested in treating me with respect. I think it takes longer than five minutes to look at the quality and condition of 30 records. He opened with a lowball offer that did not match the titles, rarity or the condition, and when I questioned it, he said "records not selling" while we are standing in a store literally packed with people buying vinyl. It was insulting, and it was clearly meant to make me feel like I should be grateful for whatever lowball number he threw out. The moment I pushed back and asked for my records back, his offer suddenly jumped up but still well under a fair trade. That tells you everything about their honesty and ethics. It was not about fair value -- it was about seeing what they could get away with - how low they could lowball. To top it off, they paid with a check instead of cash, which made the whole thing feel even more disrespectful, inconvenient, and dismissive. In hindsight, I wish I had taken my records back but I was so disoriented by the disrespect and clerk behavior. And it made me realize why I never sell or trade records. If you care about being treated with basic respect or honesty, take your business somewhere else. I will never buy anything from this disreputable unethical establishment. And you should not either. This is not a mom and pop business but a business operating without integrity exploiting its customers.

I have got to say, it is absolutely one of the coolest stores I have seen in a long time. First it is a used clothing store, with lots of vintage and retro clothing, including band shirts. Second, they have a lot of fun new and souvenir items, cute Denver shot glasses, funny greeting cards, postcards and other kitschy items. Third, it is a bar... and not just any bar. It is a fun bar with containers of moonshine named after 80's songs. My friend and I enjoyed a couple of mimosas while we were shopping. In addition to that, they have a DJ booth with music on several evenings. We also took pictures in an old photo booth. I left with a couple of cute greeting cards, and a fun flashy sequined bag that I took out 80's dancing that evening. I forgot to mention, they also sell records! As far as the store goes, it was expensive for a thrift store and most of the vintage items looked to be from about the '70s thru the early 2000s. The drinks weren't anything special and normal Denver prices. The staff was very stand offish but got the orders right. Heads up...they're a cashless bar which isn't very vintage of them. They did a great job on work that some other tailors won't touch - reduced the shoulder pads and legs. And there is no drama - Bill tells you what he can and can't do (mostly can), marks up the clothing and discusses with the tailor. It turned out perfectly, and I've since brought two other suits there. Same drill- gets it done properly, no rework required. And the store has a very nice selection of clothing. Highly recommend!

I went to every suit store in Denver open on a Saturday and everywhere I went didn't even bother showing me suits and simply told me they were 8 weeks out for tailoring. I ended up at Homer Reed where instead of turning me away as an impossible request, Bill went through the entire store with me and found a suit that fit pretty close. He then made a special request to their Tailor to put me at the front of the line so that my suit was ready to go Monday morning for the wake Monday night. Although it was for a sad occasion, I had a perfectly fitting suit. I was not a customer of Homer Reed before but I am forever one now.
