I've used Foam Factory Inc twice in the last couple of years, and I am happy to report that their turnaround time has been amazing each time. It could be longer if they are really busy, I'm sure, but this time I ordered on Tuesday and they were at the front door in Delaware on Saturday. Each time I've gotten the HD36 Medium--my twin is 6" thick, and for the futon I got two pieces, fitting the seat and back separately, at 5". Both are very comfortable for me. The foam mattress reeked of chemicals. This was the Lux High Quality Foam mattress. It was far worse than a slight or even moderate "scent" described in the company's website. This was toxic. Really bad chemical vapors emanated from mattress. Tried to air it out with windows open and still the vapors filled a floor of my home. Finally had to put in the garage. Ask for refund. I bought some foam for a couch I made, I spent a little over $100 and it the foam began sagging within a few months. I thought about using springs, but after doing some research I found out that what I needed was higher density foam. I ordered a sheet of 6" Lux-HQ foam and I am beyond satisfied with the quality, and the price I paid. As soon as I took it out of it's box, layers of wrap and it's bag it sprung to life instantly. I sat on it and the foam held up all 200+ pounds like a champ and it was perfectly comfortable. On top of that I paid less for the Lux-HQ foam from FF Inc than I paid for a similar size of low quality foam elsewhere. I received an e-mail to confirm that my shipping address was correct, since it differed from my billing address. I promptly replied, and in return I was promptly notified that the item was processing and would ship shortly. For me, the processing and shipping time was faster than I expected. That is quite possibly because I ordered a full sheet, and custom sheet sizes take more time. I will definitely use Foam Factory Inc again, and I'll recommend it to others. read more

What I liked: 1st call to their customer service team was pleasant. Why I'm dissatisfied: Their return policy is, in a word, ridiculous, and the 2nd call to their customer service team was unpleasant. Full story: My bedroom shares a wall with neighbors on one side, and a roommate on the other. To cut down on the noise exchanged between the walls, I googled a solution. I found Foam Factory amidst my search, and called to see what type of wall-insulation they may recommend. They pointed me in the direction of the Neoprene foam. I bought this, out of state, and hoped it would be a solution. When it arrived to me, I put it on the wall, and unfortunately, it didn't cut any noise at all whatsoever. So I decided to return it. A typical response to buying something online and it not working out. I called today to process the return, and I was told that I would have to pay the shipping back to Foam Factory (understandable), a 25% restocking fee (I didn't love this, but it's livable), AND the initial shipping that it cost them to ship to me. I've never heard of such a thing. I'm pretty sure that the cost of doing online business is shipping... Although it's unfortunate that the purchase didn't work out, why should I have to eat the cost of them shipping it to me? Their business model is foam-by-mail. I didn't set it up that way, yet I need to be responsible for eating that cost for a product that didn't work? After all of the fees to return the product, I'd be getting about $10 back. That doesn't make sense for me as a customer. This is a bait and switch if I've ever heard of one. Before you ask, yes, this policy is on their website. Their website lays out return policies for all different types of foams, not one that is specific to the Neoprene that I bought, however. But how would I have thought to look at this when I was under the impression I wouldn't have to go through a return process? Is it unreasonable to think that I'd describe my issue over the phone prior to purchasing, and just expect the product to work after a consultation? I've also seen the business reply to a Yelp review and boast a "guarantee" for their products. Well my product didn't meet the guarantee, but I'm only eligible to receive 1/5th of my money back? I don't think this makes sense. Lastly, I've been waiting all day for a manager to call me back about this return shipping fee, which, to be clear, is the only thing I'm contesting. I'm happy to adhere to the exorbitantly high restocking fee, and the cost to ship the product back. I've waited all day, but it's 4pm local time, and I've not heard anything. Re; Terricloth topper & mattress covers I received a cover for a 3inch size topper. Upon trying to use it the zipper kept sticking making it impossiable to use. The description of the fabric is terri cloth, I woild call it velour. It is very cheap. I could not find any info on thier site as how to return this so I e-mailed them. I was told I could return it but there would be a $25. restocking fee plus I would be responsiable for shipping making a total loss of $35. We ordered foam for sound proofing a dance studio for the ceiling. We place the order after speaking with Eddy many times and we were told if we wired the money it would be shipped faster. Well, we received the order when promised but each sheet of foam was a different size! Imagine trying to install/ glue this on a 14 foot high ceiling with scaffolding and ITS ALL DIFFERENT SIZES! Our installer had to make a template and cut every single peace before installing. Needless to say this cost us WAY MORE MONEY for labor! When I emailed to complain, my email was ignored. Order 139077 I mistakenly ordered them with non removable covers that I paid for because there was only two ordering options; one with and one without a cover. I had already read that the non- removable covers were included so thought I was paying for a removable cover. . I called the same day to change the order because the website stated the order would take two days to ship. I was told that the order already shipped.. I was willing to pay for the zippered washable covers at the price I would have been charged if I had ordered them with the wedges to begin with. Customer service told me that they clearly read that a zippered cover was a different cost. Customer service would not allow it and told me they would charge me shipping both ways if I sent it back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered a custom cut foam insert for a box I was building as a wedding gift for a friend. I ordered it on a Wednesday because I was assured it would arrive by the following Wednesday. The wedding was on the next Saturday and I really needed the foam piece! I call them the day after it was supposed to come (2 days before the wedding) and they tell me they haven't even shipped it yet! The lady on the phone says she will call me back with more info. After no response for 2 hours, I call them again. I speak with Eddie who tells me the woman I spoke with left for the day without telling anyone about my issue! I'm blown away. I start speaking with Eddie about the situation. When I tell him I was assured it would arrive in 7 days, he asks if I have that in writing! Totally rude. He says the company will not pay to ship it overnight or two day delivery because it's too expensive. He offers to ship it ground and it will arrive by Monday morning. I ask him how much and he responds $13 for shipping. So basically, the company fails to fulfill their side of the promise, delays shipment, provides no apologies, admits no wrongdoing and then charges me for shipping to top it off. I cancelled the order and went to another company that saved the day. I am always professional and polite when speaking with customer service and these guys were nothing short of incredibly rude. The sent the wrong foam. And they refused to fix their mistake. Admittedly, I called beyond their 21 day return time. But, i would expect that a company would want to take care of a customer, especially when they made the mistake. I followed their online step by step instructions for ordering the correct size for my 2 patio chair foam cushion replacements (20x20x5). When the 2 cushions arrived, 1 measured 21 inches and the other measured 20 5/8 inches. 1 cushion was 1 inch too wide, the other was 1 5/8 inch too wide, both enough to cause the replacement foam (which was VERY hard and stiff ) not to fit in the existing zippered seat cushion casings. I called the phone number, but a recording said to send an email which I did do. The response I received was rude and curt and I was told they were cut within tolerance and refer to the tolerance table. Reference to the tolerance table is NOT in the step by step ordering instructions! Needless to say, they will not exchange the cushions, and I am out the cost of 2 foam cushions($78.38!) which do not fit into my patio chair seat cushion zippered casings. The instructions for ordering are misleading and incomplete because there is no mention in the step by step instructions to take into consideration you may get a cushion an inch wider or longer than you requested. I would expect that a commercial foam replacement company would be able to cut foam to the actual dimensions that I requested following their online instructions, but that didn't happen. And don't count on "customer service" to work with you because all you will get is very rude email responses! Certainly would NOT recommend! read more

A memory foam mattress topper different than what I had been sleeping on which was a gel topper. I spent a long time Googling for a topper with its own cover, also and: guess who fulfilled both of my needs ! 2. Later I wanted xtra height for a cushion I had made locally for a vintage vanity chair from eBay. Again I decided to try Foam Factory; easier to shop online since I do not have my own wheels and even if I did, where I live leaves much to be desired for shopping. I bought a couch cushion in Feb 2020. I asked the agent on the phone what is the difference between the top 2 choices and she said #1 (the most expensive) will last you around 10 years and #2 (the next tier down) will last you about 6 years and that's the only difference. I knew I wanted to change my couch within the next six yeas so I bought the second highest price option. In exactly 8 months its completely deformed and useless! I contacted them and they told me the one you bought is for minimal use. I am a one person household who works all day and uses the couch and the couch cushion 2-3 hours at most every night. When I said that I was told this will last 6 years, they offered 50% off of the price of the #1. This company is disreputable lies in the description of their latex mattress products in particular. They say it is 100% Talalay latex and yet when I opened my box I noticed the solid look on one side (indicative of the Dunlop process). As I wanted a soft 3" topper and was paying for Talalay I was angry and filed a BBB complaint with the Eastern Michigan chapter where Foam Factory (aka Foam by Mail) is located. FF kept reiterating their platitudes and nothing was done. BBB still has them rated as A+. Go to themattressunderground.com for the real scoop on this and other mattress companies. Apparently mattress underground has information suggestion they are breaking the fire code laws for their mattresses as well. If you just want the cheapest foam you can get, then this might be for you. I spent hours and hours doing research before ordering a 6" queen-size mattress topper in the densest NONMEMORY foam Foam Factory provides. (The sleeper prefers polyurethane to memory foam and has slept on polyurethane or latex foam mattresses for over forty years). I ordered the ultra dense "luxury" foam on Foam Factory's recommendation after I explained that the topper would be used daily by someone weighing 280 pounds. After 7 months of use, the topper is still comfortable and uncompressed. There is some leeway in the actual cut sizes of these toppers (as explained on the extremely informative Web site) and the one received is slightly larger than 60" X 80". The price was comparable to another Michigan place that sells the exact same foam (both sites have detailed specs) BUT I got free shipping from Foam Factory. The delivery was swifter than expected--3 days from Michigan to New York. As recommended, we opened the package about 4 hours after it arrived. (It starts to expand immediately, so is difficult for one person to open. This has to be done carefully as one is cutting tape and plastic wrap right on top of the topper.) I checked many different sellers on amazon and online before I bought from Foam Factory, and ALL OR ALMOST ALL (I didn't make a list) of them require the BUYER to pay return shipping, with no refund of original shipping. The reviews are similar to these on yelp. Some people had very good experiences and some didn't Reading between the lines, I decided that it wouldn't be worth the hassle to return the topper, so I would keep what I received unless it were defective (then the return shipping charges, etc, would not apply). I won when I took this chance with Foam Factory as it had the best product (density and thickness) at the best price I could find. On the basis of this experience, they deserve 5 stars. read more

I had a worn out chair that I want to keep a while longer until I purchase all new furniture, but people complained about sitting in it. I had tried those anti-sag plastic slat things - but that seemed to make it more uncomfortable. Wow! I ordered this on Sunday, it arrive Friday (Michigan to Virginia) AND it's fantastic! This cushion does the trick - I'm sitting 2-3 inches taller and it's like the seat doesn't sag anymore. Their product and service is G-R-E-A-T and they have reasonable pricing!
