Thank you, Lei and team! Everything was exactly as stated in the emails and texts. NOTHING was forgotten. We got the Treasure Package, so we had an hour in the Aquarium Room, an hour in the Beach Ball Room, and then lunch for an hour. My son had the best 6th birthday party, and all of his friends had an amazing time too! The team was thoughtful, kind, organized, and communicated clearly throughout the entire party. I spoke with her Monday about booking and she confirmed availability but said she was in the car and would call me back later to finish booking. Ok, great. She didn't call me back. I called her back Tuesday afternoon and left a message. Same thing Wednesday, I called a few times to follow up and pay. No response. Today, Thursday, I called and got a hold of her. She apparently has booked someone in my spot since we spoke. I am sooo angry. When we hung up Monday, I would have paid if she'd told me how instead said she was driving and we'd handle later. So I assumed we had our spot. When I reminded her of this, she told me I needed to understand she speaks to a lot of people every day and she had car troubles which she had to fix and handle. Quite frankly, I do understand things happen BUT how do you confirm someone else when you already told someone else they had that spot. Im furious but it may be for the best as I can not imagine her type of personality entertaining a bunch of 4 year olds. Terrible way to run your business. Look for a different company!!! An amazing family afternoon!…read more I would definitely recommend OC Zoo located in Irvine Regional park. Easy to park, very economical, only 2.00 per adult to enter. Wonderful wildlife including a Puma, Jaguar, Tortoise, Goats, bears and my favorite the tiniest falcon! Shout out to Gillian, the docent of the falcon. Amazing on her presentation of the falcon. Very knowledgeable, a true GEM of the zoo!

However, if you are traveling from far away, or even out of state/ country, this zoo may not be your cup of tea. Here's why. They don't have a huge variety of animals here. If you are wanting to see all the animals, then you should go to the San Diego Zoo. That zoo reigns supreme of all Zoo's for Souther California. The Orange County Zoo is nice, and great. However, they don't have a huge variety of animals here. They also have lots of disabled animals. If you are looking to see healthy animals, again the San Diego Zoo is your place. Now cost wise, this zoo is way cheaper than the San Diego Zoo. That is something to consider. I think all zoos are wonderful because they house and care for animals. I do think it is worth knowing what you want to see at the zoo and then decide which one will fit your needs. That being said, The Orange County Zoo is a great zoo. It is clean and you will see some animals for a very cheap price. If you don't mind seeing animals who are being rehabilitated, this is a good zoo.

The kids look like absolute celebrities driving around the cones we set up at the park. We've also seen them at a local city fair in Alhambra and another time at a school event. Same great vibe. The owner is friendly, professional, and you can tell he actually loves what he does. What I didn't expect was how organized it all was. They had extra batteries to switch out so there's no downtime. My first recent try was to go the traditional route - heater, filter, bottles of water conditioner & beneficial bacteria, etc. etc. - when I unexpectedly happened upon an eye-opening You-Tube vid about the Walstad method (less homework & a more natural environment, the way God intended). So I returned all that other gear & am starting from scratch. Fernando eased My initial anxiety arriving as a total tank newbie, and gave Me a tour of the various low-maintenance plants I could start My nitrogen cycling with. Nolan - the Captain of this aquarium supplies ship - answered every one of My questions with patience & grace, did not talk down to Me or make Me feel stupid, and I left feeling happily hopeful that I might actually be successful in creating a fish-friendly safe & healthy environment. Child Creativity Lab takes donated every day items (Lego pieces, empty prescription containers, bottle caps, buttons, wine corks, new popsicle sticks as well as excess items from various companies (excess fabric, plastic bottles, paint, pins, tacks, glue, zippers, etc.) and they put them together in a package so that kids can assemble them them and create a figure like a robot or animal out of all the parts. Before COVID they used to have in house workshops, but now they take the party out to the kids in city community centers, schools, etc. My friend planned a service event here so I came over to help out for a couple of hours. All the parts for the project were laid out at various stations and we went down like an assembly line and filled bags with the items to create a project-in-a-bag for each child. If I was a kid in elementary school receiving a project bag like this to put together with other classmates, I would be totally stoked. If you are interested in donating common household items for them to use, give them a call to see what they do and don't take. You can also arrange to do a service event here with your organization, they have people come in every week to help out. We need more places like this in all communities!

I also found out that this visit can be free during the first weekend of the month, for Bank of America account holders. Upon entering the museum, there was a display of build your own racing cars where a lot of kids were racing their creations. It was definitely a fun site to see. As you venture throughout the museum towards the back area, you walk into the dinosaur exhibit area. This is where they talk about fossils and various dinosaurs and there's also an explorer kit that you pay extra to try and find items and clues. Upstairs, you can have a better view of the space missile rocket that's on display and it's quite fascinating to read about rockets. Towards the back right of the museum currently there is a Scooby Doo Halloween exhibit so it was also fun to experience that area. Lastly, the most famous area is still the indoor Minh water area where you can see where is fish and stingrays. Overall a great experience for kids and adults. One less star as you have to pay $10 to park in their parking lot. I remember many years ago I used to be free, but I guess since it's more popular, you have to pay for parking now.

The museum is really big so make sure to plan almost a full day there. We brought our own lunch for us to save some money. But there is a café where you can buy lunch, snacks, drinks, etc. if you didn't bring anything. There's a lot of exhibits on both floors. My daughter really liked the ocean exhibit the dinosaurs, and the grocery store! The parking is $10. Make sure to come early. The main lot was full by the time we got there at around 11 AM. But I think there's an overflow lot for other cars. If you live in the area, it makes sense to buy a membership if you're gonna go two or three times throughout the year. It pays for itself the more you go!
