Vincenzo at Fococcia on 14th Ave. in Vero Beach is serving some of the absolute best pizza we've ever had. My husband and I shared 5 slices and a Greek salad for lunch, and everything was incredible -- so good we ordered a whole pie to take home for later. The "Grandma's" pizza was our favorite and honestly may have had the best sauce I've ever had on a pizza, and we've eaten pizza everywhere from NYC to New Haven. Vincenzo is a tremendous host, and the best dough maker ever! His pizza crust has a real taste and texture. His bowties and pasta pie slices are outstanding. His garlic rolls are to die for, I could eat an order myself right now. Also recommend trying his spin on the old Sicilian meatballs. I can't recommend Focaccia on 14th enough. read more

Vincenzo greeted us immediately when we walked in today. Before us was a spread of all types of deliciousness. Pizza, Bow Ties, Spaghetti Nest, Sicilian style pizza quite a selection. At least 4 kinds of pizzas and stuffed bow ties. The "Nest" looked like they took pasta and put it into a cupcake tin and plopped a meatball on top then covered the meatball with mozzarella. We perused and made our choices then Vincenzo put it into the oven for warming. The girls got a soda n water and we got the last open table. Very plain inside but clean and welcoming. We went with a sampler of Grandmas, pepperoni, spinach/ricotta ribbon and buffalo chicken ribbon. Perfect crunch with the crust, excellent sauce and both the spinach and buffalo chicken had a perfect balance of bread and meat/vegg. Rosie was wonderful helping with questions we had. We keep coming back for more. I've had the Stromboli, stuffed meatballs, Greek salad and Italian sub. All delicious! We both had the cannolis which are yummy. My husband had the pizza, Stromboli and is in love with the meatball sub of which he's had three times. We ate at the restaurant once which is very clean and the waitress was very nice and so was the owner Vinny. We order to go most times. Thank goodness we have a real pizzeria in Vero. We are originally from NY so we expect good Italian food. This place hits the mark and then some. read more
