The food was okay, the waiter was very nice. If you decide to seat on the second floor (outdoors) make sure to bring mosquito repellent.

We waited more than one hour, cold food, no flavor, plates served without synchronization.

I'd booked us a snorkel and bio bay tour in town and we'd driven hours to get here from San Juan (amateur mistake but a happy accident since we got to discover a new part of the island!) we needed a spot that was still serving dinner before the long drive back home and found La Jamaca by chance. The pretty lights in the pool and laidback vibe were so welcoming, and then the food-- all authentic Puerto Rican fare made incredibly well-- really sealed the deal. We decided on that night to get married on the island, which happened six months later (though closer to SJU just to simplify for my side of the family.) We have been visiting the island regularly ever since, but only made our way back to this side this weekend, since we were planning to see in laws in Lares the next day and this would be closer than the East side where we were, so we got to eat here AND spend the night at last. I was worried maybe I was rewriting it through a nostalgic lens but when our food came out -- wow. It was JUST as delicious as I remembered. You cannot beat this place for perfectly prepared, heaping portions of delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. They started us out with a complimentary cup of plantain soup which was a tasty, perfect way to whey the appetite - and gave my husband strong nostalgia since it was always his grandmother's fav. We decided to split an app and entree and it wound up being more than enough food-- to be opulent we did the lobster mofongo with garlic and started with the churrasco con queso empanadas (three in an order and they're the full size, so... BIG!) The mofongo was moist and flavorful, with a ton of lobster peppered around it, cooked to garlicky perfection, and the empanadas had a gorgeous crust and flavorful chunks of steak with melty mozzerella. Everything was divine and we were so happy we got to try the food here again and that it was still so wonderful. It's off the beaten path and in a cute low key spot - but i would wager this stands up to any meal you'd get in the center of town.

The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, and the service was excellent from beginning to end, from the hostess to the servers and bussers. Our server, Jeffery, was amazing! He was energetic, professional, attentive, and you can genuinely tell he takes his position seriously. I loved that! We were greeted with complimentary sopa de plátano and bacalaítos, and I was NOT expecting to love them as much as I did. This was by far the best sopa de plátano I've ever had. I never thought I could fall in love with a soup, but here we are! (I ordered a whole extra regular size bowl )The bacalaítos were another surprise because they're normally not something I order or even particularly like--and I've tried quite a few in my life--but these were absolutely delicious. My S/O and I shared the churrasco with arroz mamposteao, along with a side of avocado salad and majado de viandas. Everything was a straight 10/10. Not one disappointment on the table. They also make an amazing Rojo Pico, which was the perfect addition to the experience. 100% recommend Casita Miramar. Don't overthink JUST GO! Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and most importantly, genuinely delicious, quality Puerto Rican food. This place absolutely deserves the hype and its spot in my top two!

Drinks: Half of our group went for The Corazon de Melon a refreshing drink, not too sweet but delicious. I had the "I don't give a cucumber"! My husband commented that his beer was perfectly cold. My hubby had the lobster and he loved it!! It was served with the mushroom. risotto. Two members of our party had the chicken and the other two the steak. They chicken was delicious. I opted for the salad with chicken because the night before I had visited another highly rated restaurant in San German and I was so disappointed by what it passed for a salad there. Roberto's salad had fresh greens and subtle flavors. Chicken cooked and flavored to perfection. It was delicious! We ended with two sample desserts: flan and carrot cake. We left happy and satisfied to get this fine dinning experience in Cabo Rojo. Bravo. Roberto. May you continue to hone n your craft and offer this quality food for years to come.

It was one of those places where everyone at the table was happy with their meal. I ordered churrasco with mofongo and it was delicious and juicy with an incredible garlic sauce. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcome and checked on us throughout our meal. A huge plus was the parking, it had private parking, which isn't always the case when you're traveling around the island. The only thing I'd mention is that the restaurant is outdoors and doesn't have AC, so it can get pretty warm. But honestly, once the food came out and we settled in, it wasn't a big deal. Overall, we had a really nice experience and would definitely come back. Good food, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out! 10/10

When I pointed it out, the waiter said they're supposed to be like that. Between the long wait, undercooked food, and the way everything was handled, the customer service was terrible. This place was recommended by family and I regret coming. I won't be back and I won't recommend it.
