Because of that, I wake up earlier than usual and make sure I arrive 15-30 minutes before my scheduled time. Despite this, I am consistently waiting over an hour past my appointment time before being seen. This is not a one-time issue -- it happens every visit. If I were an hour late, I'm certain I would be told to reschedule, so it's frustrating that patients' time is not given the same respect. On top of that, some staff members come across as rude and uninterested, as if they don't want to be there. When patients are already dealing with pain or injuries, a little professionalism and courtesy would go a long way. If there were other options available, I would choose them. I hope management addresses the scheduling delays and customer service, because this experience has been consistently disappointing.

Her pediatrician said there's not a lot of pediatric ophthalmologist so it might take a while for someone to call me to set an appointment. I received text and email reminders a few days closer to her appointment. The day of her appt we arrived 15 mins early. The lady at the front desk was nice and welcoming. Filled up a new pt worksheet. Then we were shortly called to the back. My daughter ran to the examination chair and independently sat herself waiting patiently. Dr. Salahuddin came in with a mask but his eyes smiled which was quite infectious. He was very welcoming and gave her a high-five. My daughter enjoys going to doctors appointments and gets very excited and compliant but she's not comfortable with any male clinicians. She gets this worried look in her face and becomes the total opposite of how she would normally act around female counterpart. So I was glad he was trying to make her feel comfortable. She allowed him to examine her eyes. He was professional, knowledgeable and he took his time explaining the condition we were referred by in layman's term. It was a quick in and out appointment. We have been to multiple eye clinics and groups but the detailed attention to you as an individual has always been lacking. My husband and I both had thorough exams and results were explained in language we could understand. Additionally they use a speciality vision exam called the "Optomap Retinal Exam." It was able to get early detection on an eye bleed on him and by the end of the day our Primary Doctor had received the report and scheduled an office visit immediately the following day. Thankfully with such personal concern his medication was changed to abort any further damage. Also a shout out to the caring office staff!
