Pick up was Wednesday afternoon with everything you'd expect from a traditional American Thanksgiving meal: White turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, stuffing, green bean casserole, gravy, cranberry sauce and roll. Everything was packed up nicely. Would do it again. I must say, their pumpkin pie was the star of the day. I've had many of those in my years and without a doubt, this is the best I ever had. If you have never had a farm fresh chicken, it really is something to try. It is hard for many people to understand why there is such a difference in grocery store prices vs farm prices (and then, organic farm prices). It's worth it to me because the flavor is so insanely better than anything I have bought at a store. This meat is even better than the chicken we get from a local non-organic farm. The other differences I noticed is that the skin is much heartier. It does not split easily. It's a healthier chicken, so the collagen is not compromised. My proof is also in the bottom of the pan. There was not much fat once the juices cooled. They solidified into gelatin, which tells me the collagen is healthier. We both noticed when eating the meat from bones, the bones actually had flavor! So, I cannot wait to get another one and make chicken stock from the bones. Also, the chicken was very big. I was under the misconception that only GMO feed and steroid injected chickens get that big at that young age. Not true. What is true is that all parts are proportionately large. As opposed to grocery store chickens that have huge breast meat areas, and the other parts are small. This chicken clearly got great exercise. We also got a sugar pumpkin. It was wonderful too. Some pie pumpkins are very hard to cut into, the skin is like bark. These pumpkins cut well, roasted well and had a nice autumn flavor. I will be making my pie soon. We ordered a turkey for Thanksgiving. I am very much looking forward to it. The turkeys are raised the same way the chickens are, and I am quite certain the flavor and quality will be unbelievable.

They have a large variety of apples but are expensive. The cider donuts are NOT fresh and are $10 for 6. There was no hot or cold apple cider. Be careful when picking pumpkins, a lot of them have rot or have large blemishes from being dropped/insects doing their thing. The farmer followed us around and made comments that were not helpful. I would only come back for apple picking, for the variety.

They have so many different kinds of apples- there's bound to be one that everyone likes: Paula Reds, Macs, Gala, Cortland, and these huge yellow ones whose name escapes me.... Apple-picking here is the one thing I look forward to once fall and harvest season rolls around. It's family run and they are so nice and willing to show you where you can find the best apples. The grounds are very scenic and well-maintained but if you have problems walking amongst hilly terrain, stick to the lower orchards. They also have a small farm stand with their own veggies and also locally made honey and maple syrup. I also noticed on their website that they offere a reasonably priced "harvest subscription" (bascially like a CSA). I actually went here today as a matter of fact!! Day two of their season. Got a bushel of (delicious) Paula Reds, 2 heirloom tomatoes, and 4 (very fresh) ears of corn. They also had squash and mini-pumpkins along with other kinds of tomatoes. Once Halloween gets closer, they will have quite the selection of pumpkins. I highly recommend this orchard- whether it's just yourself or the whole family. :)

I bought two dozen eggs on a 2 dozen for $15 deal. I also bought a huge gorgeous heirloom tomato, a purple radish which was art to witness once cut into, and a bunch of leeks. Everything was delicious, and the lady who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and friendly to speak to. We visited the animals outside behind the market afterwards. There were plenty of sheep, llamas and goats to see roaming around. They were friendly and grazing. I did feel bad for one of the goats who seemed to hurt his front leg though. I hope she feels better soon! Can't wait to come back when it gets warmer outside and spend more time with the animals!

My wife purchased a farm share here through her job. She could either pick up produce on Friday or…read morevisit the actual farm to pickup on Saturday. It was nice to bring my 2 year old and let him run around the farm. The produce was great quality, and organic from what I've read. Sadly, we wasted more than we ate. You pick a lot at one time, and must eat it quick or it goes bad, and being a full time working family, we found it hard to find time to prepare everything. I won't be signing up again next year, It's not the farms fault, but my own. I would like to visit once in awhile next year, and just buy what I need at the moment.
