We called as we were on our way and the staff could not be kinder sharing news that our room was ready early! Upon arriving the team was helpful navigating the area with tips on traffic for attending Steelers Training Camp in the morning. Breakfast had a nice variety but unfortunately no waffle maker that we tend to look forward to if staying in a similar type hotel. We enjoyed the water, tea, and coffee that is available in the lobby throughout the day and night. The hotel was quiet, clean, and accommodating to make our stay worry-free!

The tv was on a swivel so you could watch from the bed or the couch. Shower was nice and hot with good water pressure and includes shampoo/conditioner/body wash mounted on the shower wall. We stopped at the bar one evening for wine. The selection was limited as they were out of many choices for red wine. The bartender was friendly and accommodated us as best as she could. Breakfast was decent. The waffles tasted like pure sugar so you might want to avoid those. They also offered scrambled eggs and sausage one more and breakfast sandwiches another. The standard bagels, cereal and fruit were also available. Coffee was good. Michele was working hard in the morning keeping things stocked and fresh.

I came to the restaurant with a bunch of friends on a Friday evening. We were basically the only ones there, but we did get there later in the evening. The menu has a nice variety of items and prices. I opted for one of the burgers because it sounded tasty. It really was. Although it was a little too juicy so it made a bit of a mess eating it. Drinks were fairly priced and not watered down like they can be in some places. The highlight for me was the crab bisque soup. It was the perfect consistency and temperature and packed with flavor. I'd honestly go back just for that. Oh and the salads are HUGE. I didn't have one, but a friend did and you could easily get several meals out of one salad. It isn't someplace I'd drive out of my way to come back to (it is about an hour from my house) but if I'm in the area I'd definitely stop and eat again.

They were more than willing to accommodate all my requests. The table settings were beautiful, and the buffet food was plentiful and delicious. I especially recommend the Laurel Ridge chicken as one of the entrees. All of the service that day exceeded my expectations. Please consider Foggy Mountain Lodge for your next event, whether it be small or large. If you have no events planned then be sure to go for lunch or dinner!

Looking around for some interesting and fun options we stumbled upon this B&B and decided to call to see if there were any openings. We were in luck! We quickly gave them some information and made our way down there. Upon our entry we were greeted warmly by Liberty the proprietor. She was wonderful and made check in super easy. I made myself some tea, helped myself to some gingersnap cookies, and got settled in for the night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower had a never ending (or so it seemed) supply of hot water and there was more than enough towels. I quickly felt at easy in the room and knew I would be getting a good nights rest. Breakfast, Liberty informed us, was held at two times, 7:30 and 9am. We picked to have ours early, which I was against, but it turned out wonderful. We got to eat a nice early breakfast and then went back to bed! Check out was at 11 so we got a few more hours of relaxing in before we hit the hiking trails. Yes, a late start, but the bed was too comfortable to leave! Breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, and a fruit cup. They had orange juice, coffee, and tea. What a treat! The food was perfect. I could not ask for a better breakfast. This place was perfect. I would stay here again in a second. It was also so close to the attractions of Ohiopyle that it would be stupid not to suggest everyone to stay here!

Not to mention the breakfast was fresh and delicious AND. My favorite part.... during the afternoon Liberty put out brownies and cupcakes for treats!!! I'm a pig so that was awesoooome haha. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be comfortable without spending a ton. About 5 minutes from falling water, 20 minutes from kentuck knob, 10 minutes from the windmills across from the stone quarry (worth a gander!) and I dunno. 10 minutes from Ohiopyle park? VERY close to everything!!!

Currently a Frank Lloyd Wright, Jr (Lloyd Wright) is being added to Polymath Park. Bear in mind that the whole Park is 130 acres and to tour the houses is by van. When you're at one house, you can't see the other houses. A restaurant is on site by the visitor center. We stayed in the FLW Mantyla house for one night and it was unfortunately a HOT weekend so it was about 85 degrees in the house and we had some issues with the lights not turning off at night in one of the bedrooms. Of course FLW houses don't have built-in A/C and often have "unique" aspects so none of this is entirely unexpected but just be aware in the summer. In the morning though, we saw a beautiful deer and her fawn outside the patio which is not uncommon at most FLW houses we've stayed at but still amazing to see through the huge windows of a Usonian house. I would never stay more than one night at the houses given that you need to be out while they're doing tours during the day but it's worth a one night stay if you're visiting Falling Water and definitely dine at the Tree Tops restaurant. I'd say 3.5 stars overall and I would consider staying again just to eat at the restaurant and not have to drive far afterward. :)
